We booked this company a couple of weeks out for our move and even called, emailed and texted prior to the date of moving to confirm their arrival time, which was between the hours of 12 PM to 4 PM. The day of the move, we tried to get a hold of the movers for a few hours, as we waiting at our move site. No one from this company contacted us to let us know they were running late, we had to contact them. We reached out to the owner, Josh, and were told by him that he was unable to reach his team as well. (Which this did not make sense to us. If we were the owner of this company & couldn't reach our employees...after a few hours, wouldn't you physically go to that move-site to check on your movers & access how late they were running?) We were up against a tight deadline on our schedule, too. After pushing Josh for an answer, his movers finally showed up to help us at 7:30PM at night. So, we got a some guys who were worn out, hot, tired and injured. They complained about working 16 hour days for 15 days straight without a break. It was over 100° that day and we tried to help by offering several bottles of water and we even pitched in physically, to help move our items so that we could make things go faster and more smoothly. I asked the guys if it was OK if I physically helped and they were thankful and welcomed my help. They said normally they couldn't authorize my help due to the insurance liability but on that day, because they were so far behind they actually needed my help. However, it was obvious that the owner, Josh, had overbooked his team! By the time we got to our new house, these movers were hard-pressed to go home for the night. We were very concerned when we witnessed them drop a few of our items and they had even stacked heavy boxes on top of our flat screen TV in their truck, which only confirms their physical exhaustion, when making decisions like that! They weren't interested in helping us place items in the rooms they needed to go, just quick to unload & go. They would wheel stacks of boxes & items, yelling over top of each other so quickly, that we couldn't even get out the answer before the next one was yelling at us. It was a very stressful situation! One of the movers was really unprofessional by wearing saggy pants, exposed butt & was rude to my wife, when she saw him trying to put a dining chair in the bedroom she tried to ask him if he would put the chair in the dining room, he barked at her & told her they wouldn't be able to move things more than once; that it was a long day for them & he had kids to get home to! My wife reminded him that it was a long day for us as well, that we had to wait for them in a 100 degree heat in a parking lot, standing on black top at our storage unit & that we ended up loading our own U-Haul truck after they were 3 1/2 hours late to our storage units to help them out. She also reminded him that the owner, Josh, assured us that his workers would continue working & helping us until our job was done, as well. This obviously was not the case because the movers were done before they got to our house. These movers basically pushed everything into our house and gave us the bill! They did not help us unwrap our things or place them where we needed them to go. Therefore, we didn't notice the damage on the items until the next day when it was light and we were able to unwrap things. We immediately called the owner, Josh, to try to resolve this matter. However, he would not return our call and then we got a nasty email from him. The email stated that because I physically helped the guys move our things...it negated his insurance and any of the damage on our things is on us now! Then his email said that our business with him was done. Josh refuses to take any ownership over the dealings of his business, he is unprofessional and we would never recommend this company as a reputable business! On a personal note, it was horrible to know that one of his guys had injured himself by falling on the job right before ours and he was actually afraid to report the incident to the owner, Josh. He told my wife & I that he thought his hand was broken, yet he kept working. All of those movers were pushed beyond exhaustion and the owner of this company should be reported to OSHA and federal wage and hour! Obviously, the owner, Josh, is really greedy and he cares about money more than he does people. I would never hire this company again! Shame on you, Josh! read more

I was so pleased to use Priority Moving to help unload our Uhaul due to their 5 star rating and timely communication & professionalism with Josh the owner. I specifically went with them even though they cost more than others but chose them due to these reasons. The ONLY reason why I'm giving them a three star is ENTIRELY because of the MAIN MOVER (the other mover was fine) the day of service. They did arrive on time and I had to pay for at least 3 hrs. minimum due to being a Saturday, which I was totally fine about. I also had zero problem with both of the movers efficiency. Here's what I did have a problem with. The main mover had a snarky ass attitude the entire time! Here is what I did not appreciate.... I specifically said I am only concerned with them moving all the heavy items out of Uhaul into the storage unit within the 3 hrs even if its not all done (wasn't worried about boxes). We also had multiple family boxes that needed to be sorted before putting into the two units as we needed to access them at different times. Of course he didn't listen and put items/boxes randomly into units and when I had him take out, he made snarky comments on how if we want everything into units then there isn't time to sort. (It wasn't like I was going thru them) He made me feel like I had to apologize for the inconvenience the entire time! When I "jokingly" said women are high maintenance he made a snarky comment, "not mine" walking away. He also proceeded to let me know that my kids should deal with their own stuff and our packing was horrible and he rushed me the entire time! By the end of the unloading he was practically throwing our stuff wherever. What really pissed me off is that they were finished 45 minutes early! Seriously?!!!! Mistake 1... this punk kid needs to learn to listen to what the customer wants and not make snarky judging comments Mistake 2... he made us feel like we were a burden even though we were paying him for his time and he was obviously rushing so he could be done early. Mistake 3... Regardless of what stuff we have, how we want it stored or how badly packed the boxes are, he couldn't remain professional and keep his mouth shut. For the jerk snarky comments he made about my kids ... if I ever heard them talk back to others (especially paying clients) like he did, I would slap them upside down! Sorry Priority that you have such an unprofessional employee that doesn't know his place. He could definitely use training on good customer service. Was he hard working... yes, but I would never use him again for any of my future moves as he definitely does not have common respect for customers or the maturity to know when to be quiet. read more

I booked Priority Movers pretty much last minute when I got the feeling the other moving company I had planned to use originally was trying to scam me. I called Josh, and he is super friendly and very helpful. I booked the move for a Monday, and while they guys did get stuck at another move and were running late, they called and checked in with me a couple of times to keep us updated. Obviously, things happen, and I realize they can't really leave the people hanging that they are helping. They were apologetic and appreciative of us being understanding - it was something they had no control over (sharing an elevator with other movers at an apt move downtown). Upon arrival they didn't hesitate - they just got to work! They were like a couple of moving machines and it didn't take them long at all to completely empty my boyfriends' apartment. (Now, I read the other review and I must say - when movers are coming, you need to have everything ready to go!! We were all packed and organized so all they had to do was what we paid them to do - come in and move our stuff from one place to another.) I think it was probably about 45 mins for them to empty the two bedroom townhouse apartment and pack the truck. And though they were being fast, they were also extremely careful. They didn't break, bump, scratch or drop a single item. Once we arrived at my house, they unloaded rapidly as well, always asking where we wanted everything placed. They were equally careful and speedy as they were initially. The whole move took under two hours... There is a two hour minimum, but I didn't mind paying that because they literally worked so hard and so fast, it was obvious they weren't trying to rack up extra time to cost us more money. (There was no taking breaks or standing around or slow moving workers.) This is the most courteous, honest, polite, speedy, and careful mover I have EVER worked with. They are worth the cost and more. I definitely recommend you use this company - you will not be disappointed!!! read more

Dear Josh, I just wanted to take a minute and let you know how great Nathan, Ross, and Evan were during our LONG day's move yesterday. They were very competent and professional, taking great care of all our furniture and boxes, making sure that they were carefully prepped and safely stored in the truck. They listened carefully to our ideas, cooperated fully with all of our requests, and problem-solved together whenever we ran into unexpected difficulties. They were also unbelievably fast- trotting back and forth to the truck-- even up steep slopes and stairs! As you know, we stopped two additional places and ran into difficulties, especially at the final apartment-- where the route from truck to elevator was long and involved stairs. They cased the situation, and found a better alternative, which we then used. It still involved carrying heavy furniture up steep stairs, but they just kept going. Perhaps most important, all three of them had the kindest and most considerate attitudes throughout the whole long day. They were positive and upbeat, personable and friendly, and just plain nice. We felt throughout the process that they were on our side and wanted the best for us. We were stressed out by the move, but they made us feel like it was all going to work out. I can't tell you how many hundred of positive things they said-- about the house, our prep, when we tried to help a little, and so on. They really helped keep our spirits up as the day wore on. We felt like they were not just our movers, but our advocates and team-mates. I know that you have said that you want a move to be a positive experience, but we did not know what a difference great movers can make. Whatever you are doing to find and train such great young men, please keep on keeping on. They were fabulous-- sweet, charming, and funny. We moved from another state to Portland, Oregon and we rent a trailer to move our stuffs. My husband spent three days loading all our furnitures and boxes to the trailer. We didn't use a mover since somehow they are pretty expensive in our little place. Upon Portland, we were all pretty tired so we decided to hire movers to unload our stuffs during a Saturday if they are not very expensive. I called on Friday. It turned out two of the top listed moving companies were all booked. Then I called priority moving. josh is very friendly over the phone and gave me a quote that seemed acceptable. But I didn't made order then. Instead I called the other companies: two of them didn't even answer the phone ( it is Friday afternoon then) and the other gave me a quote way much too ridiculous compared with the "priority moving"'s. So I called Josh again and placed the order. The movers came on Saturday and started their moving at Noon. Both movers seems very professional and considerate. More importantly, they are fast: within 40 minutes, they already finished loading our stuff from trailer to their truck. It then took another one hour for them to unload our stuff from their truck to our apartment. As far as I remember, they didn't take any break during these two hours, (actually the movers told us that if they did take break, they will remove that time from the total paid time). Over all, I am very happy that I chose Priority Moving. They are friendly, considerate, flexible, fast, and efficient. We may move pretty soon and I will definitely choose them for our next service!!! read more

I was very impressed with Priority Moving from the time I called to book them, until they were done with our move. Our move was a very last minute move, and luckily they had had a last minute cancellation and were able to help us. Don was very courteous on the phone even though I had to call 3 times to keep changing details on him. Jacob, one of the movers, gave me a courtesy call letting me know when they would arrive at our house, and they arrived right on time. He brought with him two more movers, Tyler and Nate, and all three of them were very polite and professional, and followed instructions very well. Nate was even nice enough to drive our car for us, since I was unable to do so and my husband needed to ride his bike to the new house. The speed at which they got everything loaded in and out of the truck was amazing, I was tired just looking at them work! I also need to mention that Tyler was able to carry a TempurPedic king size mattress all by himself! All in all it took them only 4.5 hours to complete the job, and this is taking into account the drive from Battle Ground, WA to Hillsboro, and the delay we had in getting our keys so they could start moving everything in, which was close to half an hour. Also, keep in mind we moved from a 2 story 3 bedroom home, to a 3 story townhouse with very narrow staircases. I am extremely happy with their work and am very thankful to Jacob, Tyler and Nate. They made this move a lot easier and we will definitely be giving them a call on our next move. read more

This is our first time hiring a professional moving company and let me just say, I will never move without calling them again. We had a weird scenario, having to vacate one house before the next was available. Josh worked with me in the planning to come up with the most logical solution. Sam and Spencer came to our house on a Friday and loaded up our UHaul with a kind of precision I honestly couldn't believe. They fit everything we needed packed, and some stuff we thought we were going to have to deal with on our own. Everything was carefully wrapped and treated with care. They were kind, communicative, and respectful of our space and belongings, and of everyone's safety during COVID. On Monday, Mitchell and Michael came to the new place to unload the UHaul, and cemented our view of this company and their employees. They were fast, efficient, and to be honest, literal magicians. Our new place has a narrow, tight cornered stairwell, and we had been trying for two days to wedge a queen size box spring up to the second floor. When they got here, they tried and it didn't seem like it was going to work. Later they tried again, and like magic, made it happen. After that, they moved two more queen size box springs, four queen mattresses, and a literal couch up the stairs. No damage to the walls or railings or light fixtures. I can't recommend this company highly enough. They are fairly priced, so helpful, and completely worth it! Thank you guys, we appreciate it so very much. read more

My experience with Priority Moving was fantastic right from day one, when Josh came to my old apt. to look at the job, and present me with an estimate. Not only was his bid the most reasonable, but I could tell that he was honestly interested in doing a great job for me. On moving day, the guys, Matt and Greg, (ABSOLUTELY THE BEST) called to say they had a mechanical problem on the rig, but would keep me advised. They were about an hour and a half behind on arrival, on a VERY hot day, and apologized profusely for it. They dug right in, taking on the 18 steps down from my old apt. and staying very positive, and upbeat the entire 2.5 hours it took them to load the truck. My new apt. is located in the West Hills of Portland, and to get to it from the parking area, one has to go DOWN 36 steps, then UP another 3 sets of 7 steps each, to my apt. Even with the temperatures in the high 80's, both Matt and Greg kept their positive, and happy go lucky attitude the entire time. They even assisted me in making some adjustments on an expensive solid glass ovular display cabinet that is an absolute bear to move, even under easy conditions, with a smile. These guys worked tirelessly the entire time, and were the most professional movers I've ever encountered, anywhere. I can't recommend them enough for making what I thought would be a horrid experience, into a quite relaxing one. Sure glad I had them for the job. read more

Priority Moving was very professional. Josh was able to provide a good, timely estimate for my move. They followed up with me via email to ensure they had all the detials about my move. The movers, Craig and Tony, arrived per the specified appoinment window. They called ahead of time as a courtesy to let me know they were on the way. When they arrived, they were eager not to waste any time and get started quickly. The movers were knowledgable about the move and came prepared with the right tools to do the job safe and in a quality manner. It also helped that they came to do the move with the right attitude after having to deal with traffic delays and earlier moves. I was very pleased to see that they handled the move in a quality manner. I had no damaged items and my home was not damaged during the move. The movers also communicated with me on an on-going basis to ensure everything was being met per my needs. Another highlight of the move was that Craig, the truck driver, drove the truck very safe from move locations. I was able to follow them as they traveled to the move locations and noticed that he navigated the large truck carefully and safely through the city. Not only did these guys show up early, but with a take charge attitude that really helped me relax during such a stressful time! To be honest, I was so overwhelmed I didn't know where to start. My mom had called and scheduled movers; Cory and Cory for me, and I am writing to express how thrilled I was with this moving company. We had scheduled them for three hours starting at 8am and they were at my apartment early and ready to go. I can not begin to tell you how nice it is to see a business be on time and ready to work. I live on the third floor and it took them only one hour to have my whole apartment empty and ready to move and unload again. I am amazed at their efficiency, especially with the large items such as my mattress and dining room table. They made moving these items look effortless. I had a house and a storage facility to drop my belongings off at and these two gentlemen were unloaded at both locations before the three hours were up. I told my mom when I move again, I will definitely be using this company! Cory and Cory were friendly, respectful with my belongings, and made this the easiest transition of a move I have ever had or could ever imagine. My family moved to Tualatin from out of state. We drove a rented truck ourselves, but when it came time to unload all our stuff we were too tired to do any of it, and just wanted to settle into our new place. I called Priority Moving early in the afternoon on a Friday before a holiday weekend, and chose them first because they are open later than other local companies, and were rated highly on Yelp. I was very pleased when they said they'd be able to do the move that day. I hesitated when I found out they only accept cash, though. I was worried about being able to make exact change. Also, cash is usually a bit tight around a move, so if I have one critique for their company it's this: start accepting credit cards. Over the last five years I've hired movers from five separate companies in four different states. Thats a lot of money spent, but I feel correct in saying that not only are Priority Moving's prices fair and well explained, I would also rate my experience with them as the best. They were super friendly, absolutely no damage was done to our place or property, and they moved all our belongings in an hour less time than their estimate. From our first initial contact with Josh, I knew we found the right company for us. We needed help moving an oversized tv console from our truck in our driveway to our upstairs bonus room. Spenser and Trevon showed up early and eager to help us. Due to the size of the piece of furniture and the layout of our stairs, it was a very challenging task. Our strong, and able movers did everything they could possibly do to make it happen for us. I was so impressed with their tenacity, communication skills, problem solving skills and overall genuine enthusiasm to help us as customers. Priority Moving was a breeze to work with. Josh promptly called me after signing up on their website and we had an appointment scheduled quickly. A few days later I realized I needed to add an additional move from another location and after a quick phone call with Nathan they had no problem making it happen too. So easy to communicate with! All three movers showed a great deal of courtesy and respect for us and our belongings which was so appreciated! My wife and I are both retired and decided in Oct 2012 that it was time to become nomadic. Premier Storage recommended Priority Moving and Josh the owner had Don & Ryan come out to move our belongings into storage for our first move. They did a great job and got us moved in short order. We wintered in AZ and then had Priority move our belongings back out of storage and into an apartment when we came back to Hillsboro in July 2013. Then when we headed back to AZ in December, Josh sent Jacob & Nate to move our belongings back to Premier Storage. Moving is never an easy process, so we always want it to go as smoothly as possible. As of now, we've used Priority Moving three times and highly recommend them. Their movers did an excellent job of moving us carefully and efficiently for what we considered a fair price (including gratuities to the movers for a job well done). We plan to use them again and would highly recommend them to anyone in the area planning to make a move. read more

I was very happy with Priority Moving, and would definitely recommend them to friends. I was given a 4-hour window of time in which they might arrive. Because this was a little problematic for me, Josh had the driver (Steve?) call me to let me know a more precise arrival time. He actually called twice with updates, which I really appreciated. The two movers were very professional and got right down to business. Because of a small elevator at the start point and the layout of our house at the endpoint, they had to take down and put back together several pieces of furniture. I was amazed at how they wielded some big items without ever bumping into a wall or doorway. I didn't realize until after they left that they never took a break. They worked hard, and were very gracious; making sure that the furniture was placed where/how I wanted it, and not leaving until they were sure I was satisfied. I have now used this company for my last 5 moves in the Portland area. Every time they are complete rockstars! I almost always get different movers from the company but regardless of who shows up they are always very professional, friendly, and careful with my stuff. My move that took place yesterday I was on the third floor of an apartment complex. These two movers handled all those steps cleaned out my entire apartment and got moved over and loaded into my storage complex in 4 hours total which is awesome. They never complained about the stairs and never complaied about the work. When I relocate back into the Portland area I will definitely be using them. When I first arrived several years ago I tried two other companies and received a lot of problems during each move. But never once have I experienced an issue using priority movers. This company is doing an awful lot of things right I would give them a chance, you won't be disappointed. read more

I was moving out of state and shipping my belongings in a shipping container. My plan was to have the container delivered to my house and load it myself but there was a last minute problem and the container could not be delivered. Not wanting to rent a trunk and move everything to load into the container at another location by myself, I called Priority Moving LESS than 24 hrs before I needed them and was easily able to schedule two movers for the following morning. John and Tony did the move and they were GREAT. They showed up at 7:45am on a Saturday morning and had everything loaded into their truck from my 1 br apartment in ~45 minutes. They drove to the shipping container storage facility and proceeded to load all of my belongings into the shipping container. It was a very, very tough fit but they managed to fit everything into one container. I would highly recommend these movers and I would use them again. read more
