The install was not without delays due to unsatisfactory cable service and unexpected home repairs. This all thru off the install. Joe's work entirely satisfactory. Some have been great but have also come with a ridiculously high price point while others have been down right horrible and didn't know much other than mounting TVs. In this business its hard to find someone with good balance of quality work and a decent price point. Well enter Joe and CAV installations! I happenstance stumbled upon his yelp page which was buried 5 pages deep because most other installers were flaking out on me and am glad I did!! For Joe this is not just a business but also a passion. He literally can talk about the advancements in Audio/Video and home theater all day long which he did with me even though it was nearly 7pm on a Monday night. The thing that I was most impressed with was the fact that he is a perfectionist and if something didn't look or sound right to him he would make sure it did. He has an eye and ear that is more fine tuned for this than we consumers do and he'll let you know it if it isn't right even though we may think it is. He even went as far as calibrating the projector to THX certs on his Ipad for free!! He charged me for 2 hours labor even though he was here for well over 3 hours! I apologize for the long review but Joe deserves an in depth review because he indeed is a diamond in the rough. If you want an installer who knows his craft to perfection, a colossal professional, timely work and at a great, affordable price point give Joe a call. I doubt you'll be disappointed!     I have an account with Associated Security Corporation and they called my front desk receptionist…read morecalling her an indian and that she is in trouble for having some sort of malfunctioning hidden cameras. When my front desk asked for a call back number and name so she can forward it to me the rep on the phone laughed and hung up(yes this is all recorded) When I called them back to find out what happened the rep then forgot to put it on hold and said "do you want to deal with these indians" and hung up the phone on me. I called back and now a gentleman picked up and said " i'll transfer you to the manger" and hangs up. I called again and forgets again to put me on hold and says "I wasnt suppose to pick up his phone i'm transferring it don't pick up" then proceeds to transfer me and the lady who initially made the derogatory statements picked up and says "oh f*** I wasnt suppose to pick up" and hung up I then called again and the same guy picked up and says "I didn't hang up I was transferring you to the owner" and I said then why all the derogatory statements and I then proceeded to tell him that I will send all the recordings to my attorney and he said his calls are also recorded. Just to put it out there I AM NOT INDIAN. I recommend not using them at all (this is not the first time i'm having an issue with them) and I will be canceling my account with them asap and recommend any minority owned companies to do the same due to Associated Security Corporation being a company that only caters and respects a majority race.

    I was a long‑term customer of Alarm New England for eight years, and my experience steadily…read moredeclined over time. What began as a positive relationship eventually turned into repeated billing issues, including double charges and unexplained fees that required me to cancel autopay and change my card information. A major concern for future customers: Alarm New England locks their Honeywell Lyric panels with installer codes that they do not provide to the customer, even after the contract is fulfilled and the equipment is fully paid for. When I asked for the installer code, I was told I "did not have access" to it. This effectively prevents you from using your own hardware with another provider. Only after I sent a certified termination letter did the company suddenly reach out, offering to reset the code, but only if I powered the old panel back on, which I had already replaced. Service quality also declined over the years. One simple sensor installation took nearly an entire day, and phone hold times were often 20 minutes or more. I was also quoted an extremely high price for a basic battery replacement, which came with pressure to sign a new multi‑year contract. I have since switched to a local company that provides full access to my system, transparent pricing, and no long‑term contracts. Based on my experience, I would encourage others to research alternatives before committing to Alarm New England.
