There were some issues with the device that prevented good contact and he spent time fixing it and figuring out how to place the button batteries. He cleaned the contacts and tested the switches. I had no idea what kind of batteries were required, and Tony found the right batteries. The type of batteries required by the headbands are not easy to find elsewhere, but You-do-it had them. Tony was so patient and had the know how to fix my reindeer antler headbands, and I am grateful. I don't like to throw things out if they can be fixed, so You-do-it is a great resource. While I was there, I bought connectors to allow my new iphone to use my old headphones.

The spy pen bought from Audio Deterrents in March 2013 carries a lifetime warranty. After much use…read moresince buying it, within the past 3 weeks pushing the start button does not begin a recording. Reset did no good, batteries showed full charge. Today 2/22/16 I called the company and reached owner Bill Mullen. I explained the issue and his reply was I was not using the unit often enough and the charge was not holding..he spoke of hundreds of police depts. whose pens have been in use since 2009. When I asked him what his definition of frequent use was, he replied" this conversation has gone too long ( about 90 seconds). you can buy a new pen at 25% off ...I told him I believe button mechanical failure was the cause as the unit recorded 3 weeks ago but the button now does nothing. His reply" the batteries are internal, are not holding a charge and I am leaving this call"..he then hung up...Pen cost $ 159...Mr. Mullen was curt, condescending and rude..I have never dealt with a person in customer relations as rude as Mullen in my 67 years. Conclusion--company won't honor warranty on dubious grounds/ owner unprofessional and rude/ my advice to anyone considering a purchase from his company, buy elsewhere. I've reviewed numerous businesses on other sites and this is the only negative one..and it is a strong negative.
