I have an update to my first review. The outcome isn't exactly the best, but the folks at…read moreuBreakiFix were exceptionally professional under the circumstances. After having my Google Pixel's battery swapped out with a new one, my phone ran fine. Three weeks later, I woke up one morning to find that my phone would not power on. It was dead. I took it back to the store. I thought that perhaps the new battery may have fried my phone. The person tried basic diagnostics. My phone was dead. He felt that the battery wouldn't have caused this issue. He asked that I leave it there for more tests. Sure enough, a couple of hours later, he declared my phone dead. He couldn't revive it and determined that the motherboard probably needed to be swapped out, which is expensive. He recommended that I contact Google support for next steps. The person that was helping me out refunded me for the complete cost of my phone's new battery. It was a nice gesture. He also wrote an e-mail for me to send to Google support, which indicated that my phone was in pristine condition and that the fault appears to be with the motherboard. Even though my phone went to cell phone heaven, it's nice that this store does everything it can to fix issues and will suggest next steps when it has done everything it can to fix them. (373)

Replaced my iPhone screen about a 1.5 month ago. A few days ago noticed tiny scratch on the side…read moreof the screen and now the screen is cracked. I've never had my screen crack for no reason! I'm very upset as I paid $170 to replace the screen in the first place but they clearly put in a cheap screen that broke Edit: tried calling their customer service and the store. Nobody picks up or returns messages. So much for their "warranty"

Do not believe any reviews you see on "Humphrey's" website. I stupidly didn't do my research. After…read morereceiving $170 to do an estimate which I never got, he demanded an extra $170 for 2.5 hours work that I had not authorized. The receiver is still not working. The day we went to pick it up, Dave wouldn't give it to me. He cursed at me, he threatened to trash my receiver; I called the police while standing in the shop. My wife has the video. We turned to leave the shop without argument. He followed, screaming obscenities in my ear. When we reached the sidewalk, he assaulted my wife, grabbing her phone and running back into the shop. I pinned him against the wall and we got the phone back. Police were not available. Three days later, two officers came on a "keep the peace" call and were able to get my receiver back. I'm the second reviewer to have called for police assistance. I wish there was an option for zero stars.

Dave at Humphrey's is unprofessional due to the following :…read more1) He told me that the problem with the SAE amp and preamp was difficult to diagnose and took his tech months. I had the same problem after getting the SAE's back from Dave ! I then took both pieces of equipment to a reputable shop ( which charged me a $ 20 deposit ) .They told me there was no problem with the equipment . In fact , I discovered the problem myself by using an integrated amp that I had in storage .One of the interconnect cables had a loose connection. I replaced it and the system worked perfectly . 2) The amount paid was well in excess of the final receipt that I got from him. 3) I was never informed when the " deposit " ( $ 316.40 ) was used up. I should have been asked if I wanted to proceed with the repair . It turned out to cost more than the equipment was worth in the end . ( Oh , the other repair shop soldered the interconnect for me at no charge and did not charge me anymore , other the the original $ 20. ! 4) Almost a total lack of communication . What could I do since he had the equipment ? 5) The " free " pick up and delivery is a joke . It is simply built into the original inflated deposit . ( see # 3 above ) Alan.

Bad customer service . Bad technicians .stuck with a TV has been fixed and paid twice from this…read morelocation . Noel and his technicians was dishonest about their work . here is the story: My TV has a grey shading on it. I booked an appointment with them, dropped it off, The TV got fixed on March2020. and they have told me the " all the LAMPS" in the back was replaced. on OCT2020 the grey shading came back, after I called them, Noel told me to bring it back, after that he said it is not the same issue " it is a power supply issue" and we have to charge you $$ for it, it is out of the 3 months warranty, after that I have agreed paying him to fix it, he said come tomorrow to take it ready, keep calling him and he keep asking his technician " all lies" , and saying he is testing it, it took him 3 more days to test it, after that he said was tested and it is ready , paying them and pick up the TV, I took it home , was very hard to install it, it took me over 2 hours to install. the surprise is after turned it on, it does have the same shading, I called him next day and we agreed that he will send a technician to my house to check it out on Monday, no one show up or call on Monday, they came Tuesday, the technician was not professional as he was walking in my house looking around , I don't know what he is looking at, we didn't feel comfortable. and he said I will do the factory reset " didn't do anything". they are suppose to take it with him to fix it, I was not home at that time and they called to me to tell me because I am not there, he can't take it out with him " it is too big ", what kind of technician you have to go to people places and not the job properly!!!!. anyways I called him back to either fix the TV or at least refund the last amount I have paid the second time and I can go else where to fix it, Noel ignoring the calls and when he pick up said I can't do anything about it, just to let you know this is not the way to do business at all, behave good with your client, be honest, no lies. and stand after your work.
