Printemps was definitely one of our destinations when my shopaholic daughter and I spent a week in Paris. I had never heard of it but I definitely had a good time. Growing up we were Mall Rats so we were at home. I've still got my coupons in tact and the maps we were given. As usual I have my free souvenirs to revive my memories. I'm highly recommending a Printemps visit! I am pretty sure I did this review previously when I may have had more vivid memories!

If you're in Paris and you want to shop, this is absolutely worth the stop. Because there are also a lot of dining options, you really can make this an all day affair if needed. Lots of luxury brands. I think this is an excellent place for men to shop. I have never seen the amount of mens shopping options/areas in any other shopping venue. Men who want to shop need to stop here for sure.

This mall is fabulous. Lots of high end designers. Lots of purses, clothes and fragrances. There is so much to take in after you walk through the door.

Just picked up a little something on our trip to Paris on 7.21.23

While visiting family I'm the Netherlands, we took a train to Paris for a overnight stay to see the Effiel Tower & purchase a specific item This "Mall" is huge!! I am not a "shopper", but the history of this place is intriguing. I would love to go back and walk around, when I have more time.

Shopping! Open on sundays... Yelp is wrong. Only come on Sundays!!

I love Printemp (P), only on Sundays, period. I make sure I don't step into P any other days but Sundays ONLY. Take my word, you'll be glad you did because the French people don't like to go out anywhere on Sundays and most of the shops are CERRADO but not P!!! I almost had the entire store to myself, I love it!! The services are excellent and I was able to detax in no time with the detax machine ( thanks to the cute young man who helped me while there was NO ONE in sight! From cosmetics to just about all the great name brands are here at the Printemps. Now don't forget, Sundays ONLY my yelper friends. If you come any other day, you're on your own... bc just read our beautiful skinny critic community manager Brittany F's review, you'll know what I mean!!

Printemps is upscale department store located on Haussmann in Paris. It just a few steps from our hotel. I liked this large department store, they have many designer brands and decent products. Also, they are not crazy busy as Galeries Lafayette. Most of the reviews said Printemps staffs more friendly and helpful then Lafayette. I experienced quite different... I went to Goyard store, I didn't get greet and no help when I was browsing. If you like, just go and check out the Brasserie restaurant under one of the domes is excellent. But, don't miss the spectacular 360 view at the top of next building. It will surprise you....

Some of the amazing view from the rooftop bar

We walked over here from the Louvre (about 1.5 miles) around 4pm to catch a view of the rooftops of Paris. To get to the roof you need to enter the building with the men's clothing. I had meant to go up and have tea but we were directed to go all the way up to the top. The entrance to the bar is there. The entrance to the restaurant, I think, can only be accessed via the eighth floor. Well, we were in luck, the bar was just about to open. It was a really bright and sunny day. Lucky we had sunscreen with us. The bar area is quite small but really cute. We were the first in line so were able to grab some seats at the bar under the cover. I had an Aperol spritz and the guys refreshed with some beers. It was really relaxing to sit there and enjoy people watching, the bartenders and those amazing views. Even if you can't afford to shop here come on up for the view - it's free!

    Roof top view :)

Amazing view :) it took a bit to find the roof top. Make sure you go to the floor location that has access to the top floor (8th, then there is an escalator to the top). The department store is very well kept and "bougie" if I may say... All the top brands and in a well lit location. Now, I to the roof top. After walking through the furniture store, you come across an escalator that leads up to the 9th. It's an amazing view and lighting at around 7-8pm (when it closes). You can get a wonderful 360 view of Paris and there is a little telescope you can view the Eiffel Tower from. The top patio has a classy side and a grassy, springy side as well. You can order some small drinks or desserts to your liking while you're up on the roof top. Would definitely recommend to take a peak at during your visit to Paris!

The rooftop view is breathtaking even though it doesn't have a closer view of the Opera House compared to the Lafayette Gallery. It also has more free space on the rooftop without needing to eat at their restaurant. We didn't shop here but we did spent a good amount on the food level. The pastries were alright but I would suggest getting them when they're freshly made in the mornings. My favorite thing about this place is they sell the French butter I was looking for (it was so good, we brought it around with us during the entire European trip). Lastly, this place serves pour-over and filtered American coffee, which is a rarity to espresso-loving Europeans. The coffee is pricey for a small size (about 5EUR) but it made my husband happy so it was well worth it.

I do have a few of their SLGs. This time, it's a shopping experience for my sister and she found her splurge gifts. Happy for her bc what's a Paris trip w/o gifts? lol The selection is amazing, but being the flagship... some small items were out of stock, especially new drops and in popular colors. You get better prices here in Paris than at home, the VAT will add to that saving. The service was amazing! I forgot his name but he was funny and charming. Store was busy so didn't mind waiting. Eventually the manager, Eury, came over and said I would be next. I thanked him and informed him I knew what I wanted and just needed to check out. A couple came in after us and suddenly we became next next. This obviously angered me. Apparently they're not interested in my business so I'll take it elsewhere. Guess the random couple who came in to try stuff on was more important than a guaranteed sale. When I asked Eury for his card he claimed not to have one. Not sure if this is the correct spelling of his name or not. I don't know if was dismissed for being an American, being dressed casually, or being black. Regardless it was not a good experience. Cela m'a évidemment énervé.

I dropped her off then walked over to the seine to get myself a crepe. I was minding my business when my friend started sending me pics of the bags she was looking at and trying to pick. She mentioned she was a little tipsy then asked me to pull up cos apparently the people were so nice. I finished my crepe and walked over. Unlike when I dropped off my friend and we had to wait outside, I was able to just walk in and tell security I already had an appointment. I found my friend sitting so I headed to her direction. I was immediately given a champagne. Alfa came over with a variety of fanny packs because that's exactly what I wanted. I had previously looked online and picked a couple styles that suited me. I didn't like the choices that were presented so we went to another area where more choices were displayed. I was given another champagne at this point. After some flip flopping, I decided on the style that was completely different from what I originally picked. The payment process was a breeze. After registering to their system, they verify some information then you're led to the corner to handle payment. Alfa walked us out with our bags after fully explaining the tax refund process. He was so nice and thorough and just all around pleasant. What I really appreciated is that they don't rush you. Alfa was very patient with me and not at all pushy. He waited for me to decide on what I wanted which is the same thing that happened to my friend who kept changing her mind. She made a point to tell me how patient he was with her since he kept going back to get more bags. I already know what I want to get next. See you guys in a few months.

Tucked amongst the buildings on the street, it's almost hard to believe how large the gallery is on the inside as there is so much to see from dresses to accessories to magazines and more. Upon entering, the exhibition starts at the top floor, where you make your way through the building and steadily downwards on a journey through time. This is a fun experience for those who love fashion, history, and art, but there is truly much to appreciate for someone coming in with no prior knowledge or expectation. This gallery is extensive and they change out the pieces periodically, so there's a lot of re-visit value. The gallery goes beyond fashion and has moments discussing Christian Dior's personal life, the building itself, and how the Dior name continues to thrive in modern-day couture. At the end of the gallery they have their own Dior Le Café, which carries both drinks and food, and a mini gift shop section. I found it a great spot to relax and rechage. *Lucky Sando en trio: This trio of sandwhiches was delicious and larger than expected for a tea-time-style snack. The egg-mayonnaise was moist and flavorful, tasting as expected. I enjoyed the smoked salmon and cucumber one which provided a refreshing and cooler-tasting sandwich. The chicken with spices was the most unique one of the three. It had tumeric and other spices that made it stand out. It held the most umami. *Caesar salad with Chicken: This dish was crafted together at table-side which was both unexpected and lovely to experience! I appreciated the different toppings to what I thought was going to be a generic salad, and the overall outcome was very vibrant. The chicken itself is a fully seasoned and cooked fillet, making this dish very filling. *Chocolate Chaud: This is my favorite drink in France, and ordering it here was no different. Deeply rich and made with heavy cream and dark chocolate, chocolate chaud tastes like drinking liquid chocolate straight from a pot. Generally, you can purchase tickets online for a specific date and time with full price being 16 EUR, though there are discounted options available. You can also try your hand for a walk-in visit, though the line can get rather long. I was fortunate enough to enter for free and without a wait, which I am extremely grateful to the team for!
