A large Monoprix store which I really like, they have such a good food selection including Lipton Ice Teas, cheese, dairy and even gluten-free bread. I came in here to buy three of the 1L Lipton Ice Tea bottles with the 2+1 offer, a fantastic offer as it means each bottle works at 1.10 euros, this is compared to the average price of 1.9 - 2.9 euros at regular retail stores across Paris for a bottle half the size, a bargain - plus the variety of flavours is great, many of which we don't have in the UK. It's a shame they don't have the Watermelon and Mint flavour, which they have at Monoprix Beaugrenelle for example.
Most of the staff seemed friendly, however, at times their product knowledge was questionable and they were unable to suggest a single product which could help with my sunburn from their small cream and cosmetic section.
They have a freshly squeezed orange machine and in most places prices are reasonable, the fact it is open late when many other nearby stores close a few hours earlier is also really handy, I wish I knew about this place for my first nights in Paris where I had to buy milk from McDonald's at extortionate pricing.
I do think the checkouts are a little odd, and it is easy to walk out of the store and then struggle to find the checkouts, at night they have fewer checkouts on which again is understandable as there are fewer people in the store but I still found it harder to checkout on multiple occasions. read more
