I wanted to go to the Dior Museum last year when we were in Paris but didn't know that I needed to book ahead so we missed out. This time I made sure to make our reservations several weeks out. Upon arrival we still had to wait in a short line before entering and once we were inside it was quite crowded, but this was completely worth it. Getting to see the vintage and new Dior designs up close and in person was a real treat. Highly recommend!

If you're a fan of fashion and Dior, then definitely recommend getting tickets and visiting this museum! The path is laid out so you just walk through the different exhibits to see all of Dior's exquisite dresses and purses and everything that makes up the House of Dior. There a large Dior boutique and cafe right next door too so you can do some shopping afterwards.

The Dior Gallery was super fun to go through! My boyfriend and I waited approximately half an hour in line, and the experience inside bottlenecks at the front but disperses throughout the exhibit. They detail Christian Dior's personal life and his connection with his mother's garden in his childhood and how it inspired him as his muse. Ready-to-wear garments from creative directors past like John Galliano and Maria Grazia Chiuri are displayed, allowing the viewer an opportunity to discern how each individual interpreted the meaning of Dior's image. I personally preferred the timeless beauty of Galliano's, but Maria has managed to keep Dior designs fresh, youthful, and relevant in the modern day high fashion environment (which is no easy feat, considering how quickly fast fashion trends attract our attention and come and go!). I admire that Dior is not a designer who compromises comfort for beauty or who attempts to nullify the female silhouette, too often male designers create clothing without regard for the individual whose body must bear the burden of tightened corsets and chafed heels. His pieces accentuate the female body by flaring out at the hip or appropriately supporting the bust without being overly garish. If you are traveling with men or a man, it's worth it to split off and go to this alone or try to bring them- you might manage to change their minds and convince them that fashion is a medium of art that has a primarily negative connotation due to either public interpretation or the fact that it is primarily curated with women in mind. The experience inside is immersive and lasts for approximately an hour to two depending on how intensely you study each piece, so the wait was very worth it. I'm happy I got to experience this once in a lifetime gallery honoring one of the most celebrated fashion names of our time.

If you're a fashion fan--or even if you're not--Dior Gallery is definitely worth a visit when in Paris. The museum is stunning, both inside and out, with beautiful architecture that adds to the overall experience. We visited during the holiday season, and it was truly magical, with festive decorations enhancing the experience . So much eye candy ! You do need to reserve your tickets in advance for a timed entry , but once you're inside you can take your time on a self guided tour. It's amazing! The beautiful dress displays and the cool stories behind them . We very much enjoyed our visit . After you do the tour it ends at the Dior cafe . It's not the best coffee or sweets , but we still ended up ordering an espresso just to sit and relax . They have nice clean bathrooms . Entry cost is very reasonable. Highly recommend for a visit :)

Wasn't sure what to expect from La Galerie Dior, but it completely exceeded my expectations. The walk-through tour was beautifully curated, showcasing Dior's history and artistry in such an immersive way, even my husband really enjoyed it! A must-visit for anyone in Paris, whether you're a fashion lover or just appreciate great design.

Wow wow wow . First time at a fashion house . Learned so much . A lot cooler than I could ever expect . So big . Was in there about 2 hours and then afterwards went to the Dior cafe . OmG !!!! That star praline mousse dessert I had was one of the best desserts I've ever had. It was definitely worth the $25 lol and then I got a lobster lobster ceviche roll and that was amazing. I didn't think you it didn't look as good as it tasted, and it blew me away. Everything was so good probably one of the best things I've eaten in Paris lol

Spectacular! Please go it's truly beautiful! Words don't do this exhibit justice! I bought tickets ahead of time because I missed this on my past visit to Paris. There were people on the stand by line that got in, but I'd recommend getting tickets since that didn't work last time I was there. Well worth the ticket price.. I believe it was around 15 Euros.

Unbelievably incredible. Even my husband who couldn't care less about Dior, fashion, or art for that matter loved this. It does seem that the exhibits change often-for example we were there in October 2024 and there was a garment worn by a celebrity the week before on display, plus many looks form the Olympic ceremonies this past summer. If you're a fashion guru you have to stop here. ICONIC right off the bat-as soon as you walk in you will the the New Look. I wasn't expecting to see that up so close or so soon. I plan to return on every visit to Paris now. Definitely make a reservation way in advance (we did ours 2 months in advance I believe) because there will be a very long line to get in and you may not.

Highly recommend booking this fashion museum while in Paris. It books in advance so make sure to coordinate a timed ticket for your trip when planning ahead. The first room was backed up with a line but once you get through that - there is an endless number of rooms and exhibits and high fashion with all roads leading back to Dior. For fashion and history lovers, this is a great exhibit to check out!

A small museum but very much worth visiting. A large quantity of Mr Dior dresses are beautifully displayed, and you should plan between one and two hours to see all of them. You also learn about the man and the luxury brand he created. I recommend buying the tickets in advance as the space is limited and the lines can be long. Totally worth it!

La Galerie Dior was an exquisite experience. We arrived on time by three minutes a cause de the traffic. Note: If your tickets are for 11:00 am you want to be there at least 30 minutes before but if you're not able to get there 30 minutes before as long as you have paper copies of your tickets. Yes, you can have digital versions but the word I heard was it is preferred to have paper copies. NOTE: I had read online that the Galerie Dior was climate-controlled and it might be. I had understood it to be cold so we were wearing jackets. It was not cold inside at all but very warm. It was cumbersome to carry jackets and look at all the exhibits. My advice would be to skip any big bulky winter jackets. Once you go inside, it's stunning. Take a moment to stare at the showcase surrounding the stairs and enjoy the views. After admiring the collection get in the elevator to the third floor and begin your journey. You start with a history of the Dior family and then weave your way through multiple exhibits including dresses. NOTE: Do not stand too close to the dresses or try to bypass those who are taking a longer time as warning sensors will activate. We were a guest to an orchestra of beeping throughout the third floor. The dresses are a sight to be seen. It was an amazing experience and I won't add any spoilers but enjoy every step in the world of Fashion and see it through Christian Dior's eyes. We did enjoy a break at their cafe. It was uber haute culture and I felt severely underdressed but the desserts and the coffee were top-notch. For the four of us, coffee, drinks, and desserts was 78 euros. I recommend La Galerie Dior as a visit for your time in Paris

The exhibit changes over ever so often to create a new experience. Truly superlative. The design and organization of this museum/gallery are exquisite.

A very unique museum in Paris and got to know more about Mr Dior and his creations...there are a lot of valuable pieces at the museum and the rooms were so pretty. You will need about 2 hours to look through everything.

We worked with Valentine & Wendy to arrange all the details and itinerary. The tours, drivers and transfers were all first class. Every one of our guides was knowledgeable, pleasant and professional. Alain in particular stood out as he helped bring us to a remote area of Normandy so my wife could visit the home where one of her ancestors lived. Our guide and driver Corrine was also fantastic as she shared her local knowledge as we touted Brittany and Normandy. Exactly at 0800 our guide, Quentin, arrived at our hotel with our driver in a new Porsche Panamera sedan for our trip to Versailles. Quentin was personable, friendly, and a wealth of information about Versailles. He handled all the arrangements and escorted us throughout virtually all of the accessible areas of the palace. He had also arranged for our lunch at Ducasse (yes, an Alain Ducasse restaurant located within the Versailles palace - see separate review of the restaurant, under Ore - Ducasse au Chateau de Versailles - spoiler - very, very good). Quentin had an amazing range of knowledge about the palace and about the furnishings and artwork throughout. He was highly informative without overloading us with too much detail, and where appropriate, he simply got us to another amazing location and let us look around for ourselves. His special guide permit allowed him (and us) to enter many of the rooms that require separate tickets to enter, and we bypassed some bunches of visitors through doors only accessible by licensed Versailles guides. We visited on a cold January day (high was 40F that day) and that kept the crowds away. Quentin kept exclaiming that he had never seen so few visitors in Versailles. That was great for us, as we never felt crowded and in fact were all by ourselves in some of the rooms of the palace. Following a great lunch, Quentin escorted us to the Petite Trianon and to the fantasy village built for Marie Antoinette. Quentin pointed out how the palace, the Parc de Versailles, the landscaping were all carefully designed to awe visitors. Most visitors would never know how the hill that leads from the palace down to the statute of Apollo is designed to trick the eye and make new surprising vistas appear as you progress. Or how the lake was designed to make it feel much longer and farther through subtle engineering. We also would never have known all the inside meta-symbology is spread throughout the palace and the art. All the associations with Apollo for Louis XIV (the "Sun King") hidden within the columns, wall and ceiling decorations mean a lot more when you know why they are designed that way. After a full day of Versailles palace, Petit Trianon, and Marie Antoinette's fantasy village, we were glad to see our driver waiting for us on a street right next to the fantasy village, so we didn't need to hike a mile back to the palace parking areas. We had a nice ride back to our hotel. Highly recommended - we had an exceptional time. Quentin was a wonderful tour guide, and we appreciated his excellent English and encyclopedic knowledge of Versailles and the history of the French aristocracy.

I look forward to returning someday to see the restored structure. I am also reminded of a review that is long overdue. My wife and I went to Paris from the United States for the first time but were only able to visit for three days. Because of the short visit, we wished to see as many of the famous Parisian sites as possible. We arranged for a day of sightseeing to visit the Louvre, the Eifel Tour and Notre Dame Cathedral. Our personal tour guide for the day was Sylvanie. You could not ask for a more personable and knowledgeable escort for our journey. Sylvanie was absolutely amazing in her knowledge of everything Parisian as well of her intimate knowledge of the tourist locations. Not only was Sylvanie able to intelligently answer my wife's (who has studied art) questions, she was able to also answer my (no art history what-so-ever) relative simple questions. When I ask why the Mona Lisa is such a popular painting when there are so many more beautiful works in the Louvre, she tells the complete history of exactly why the painting is such a tourist draw (Actually quite an interesting story. You should ask her). When my wife asks about the painting on the opposite wall, the Feast at Cana, Sylvanie doesn't miss a beat and has a vivid story about how France came into possession of this work of art. Our trip to the Notre Dame Cathedral was equally impressive. Her knowledge of the art and history of the cathedral was astounding. I have been remembering quite a lot of my time at the cathedral as I have been watching the news reports of the fire. My wife and I were able to understand so much more of the history through Sylvanie's stories than had we simply gone on our own. Everything about our day was perfectly planned by Sylvanie and was executed seamlessly. She had arranged for car service for us and each time the car arrived shortly after our exit at each location. Our admission to each attraction was pre-purchased by Sylvanie prior to our arrival and we simply followed her into each location and felt like VIPs. It is obvious that Sylvanie worked hard prior to our arrival to make sure that our day was perfect. That sort of perfection does not come easily. My wife and I simply fell in love with Paris and will be returning soon. When we return, we will definitely use Sylvanie's services again. We could not have asked for a more perfect day and her fees were actually quite reasonable. We had a private tour with a lovely extremely knowledgeable tour guide for what it would otherwise cost for a group tour. I would recommend her to anybody wishing to see the sites Paris has to offer.

April 11, Montmartre Pastry and Chocolate Food Tour, Paris…read more Our family of four with a son 9 and daughter 10 did a pastry and chocolate tour through Montmartre and it ended up being a really fun way to explore the area. Arrival and First Impressions The group was small, just our family and another family, which worked out well. The shops we visited were tiny so taking turns going in and out was part of the experience. Our guide was knowledgeable and walked us through side streets, small parks, and local spots we would never have found on our own. The Highlights We stopped at six different locations including chocolatiers, bakeries, and pastry shops. Highlights included a choux pastry, crepes, madeleines, artisan eclairs, and multiple chocolate tastings. The final stop for hot chocolate and macarons was excellent. The macarons were so good we ended up buying some to bring home. The tour was not just about food. We saw the Love Wall, hidden streets, and learned about the history of Montmartre including small details about the neighborhood that made it feel more personal. The Challenges The guide did not have a very loud voice so in a bigger group it might have been harder to follow, but with our small group it worked fine. Would We Return Yes, especially to try a different tour. It was a great mix of food and exploring. Final Thoughts This tour is a great way to experience Montmartre beyond just walking around. The combination of food, history, and hidden locations made it a memorable and worthwhile experience.
