Day one in Paris, and it's freaking hot. We stopped here to get a drink and guess who we see? Steven Tyler from Aerosmith. No freaking joke. The wife was too shy to ask for a picture, and I'm not a big enough fan to approach and man on a mission to buy booze. As for the store itself? It's pretty large and it's not your typical drug store. It's a fancy shmancy one that has almost everything you might need, but at a price. It's a pretty cool place with an awesome entrance. Nothing out of this world, but still interesting.

Seeing the images on line I began to get excited about the space and food. I wasn't disappointed by the food but the space and service were questionable. I feel this restaurant could use a refresh and upgrade the hiring.

Monday at 10pm - still open for premium cigars and chocolate

This is my seventh visit to Paris in the past five years and Publicis is always on my agenda to visit at least once. Where else can you visit at 10pm on a Monday night for a box of authentic Cuban cigars, a box of La Maison du Chocolat and fresh Pierre Herme macarons? No where in the world is the answer. Besides these items Publicis has a great selection of premium cigar accessories, single malts and wine. The bounty on this visit were a couple of boxes of the 2016 French Regional Edition Quai d'Orsay Secretos and a half dozen Pierre Herme Macarons. Their walk in humidor was well stocked and I was pleasantly surprised to see a couple of boxes of the Secretos sitting on the shelves so I purchased both. The staff are always very pleasant and prices are fair for Paris. Don't get confused in thinking that Publicis is simply a drugstore.

Publicis is a go to in Paris for an American. Open late, lots of wine and cute things, a little pharmacy inside, a restaurant that has been recently redone. It is pricey but if you shop smart you'll get some nice European made gifts. The other night I dined in their totally renovated restaurant and it was a delicious meal. I had the chateaubriand steak and my god! It was incredible. Publicis is a great place to grab a meal, buy cigarettes and magazines, they carry skinceuticals products, they have a wine and cigar department, books and my favorite candle brand Astier de Villatte. I love this place!

Cute Parisian store meets boutique meets cafe meets papeterie meets drugstore. Why didn't I visit here last year?!? I stepped in here only to see if my mom would need anything for the next couple of days, but I was in awe of the journals, Paris books, and cute little Korean lotions. I could definitely spend an hour in here. Not your typical drugstore but should be.

Food is overpriced and bland. Would not recommend spending your money on this, save it for something better.

First stop before any financial damage was done. We went to the food court. We headed downstairs…read morefor a nice ice cold drink and a quick bite. Maybe it is the American in me, but this did not feel like any food court I have seen back home. There are only four stalls in total. Joe and The Juice, Pierre Marcolini, Yi The, and one more I did not catch. My son ordered the L'Amore (strawberry, raspberry blueberry tea) from Yi The. The juice was decent and I was very pleased to see they used fresh ingredients, but not every drink works with boba. This was one of those times where it just did not. My husband also bought a bottle of coke, which cost 3.50 euro, which is very expensive for any food Court standards Next door, we got our first macarons of the trip from Pierre Marcolini. We tried the Dubai macaron, the signature one, the Noisette, and the most delicious of them all, the Framboise. They were all delicious and not too sweet, which I really appreciated. I loved every bite, but my favorites were the raspberry macaron with dark chocolate filling and the hazelnut one called Noisette. It was definitely worth the stop.

I had seen many photos and videos of Galeries Lafayette swirling around instagram, especially…read moreduring Christmas time. I was little disappointed once inside as it wasn't quite as magical as expected, but it's a shopping area, so what do you expect. The biggest disappointment is that you have to pay to use the restrooms here. Ridiculous! I didn't have any cash and wasn't sure if I'd be able to use a card, so I had to leave. There was a long line of people trying to use the bathrooms, so they must make a nice chunk of change from this. But quite stressful when you would expect a restroom especially for how large this place is.
