These guys got to my original location early and were careful, as well as intelligent, instead of being the stereotypical yes men that I have seen movers be in the past. For 6 hours of work (the travel time to Brooklyn was the biggest part of the move), everything I packed survived the move. They even put my mother's bed back together prior to them leaving for Brooklyn. That was very nice of them. What should have been a simple two bedroom condo move took two round trips and 12 exhausting and stressful hours. The cost went from the estimated $2,000 to $3,000. I depended on Alex to know that in order to ensure a smooth move in a timely manner at the price he quoted, he needed to send a larger truck and more men. The three men arrived on time, were hardworking and careful with my belongings. However, during the last few hours, we were all exhausted. In a desperate effort to finish, I had to bring things in myself, and was unable to supervise. This resulted in the second load of boxes in complete disarray and many on the wrong floor of the house. A month later I am still unable to locate important items. When we called Main Street Movers to discuss it, Alex blamed the incompetence of sending too few men and a wrong size truck on their operations department. He denied low balling the estimate. The owners, Karen Mantzouranis and Tom Mantzouranis, refused to get on the phone at all or take any responsibility for our horrendous move. Please be forewarned and do not use Main Street movers.

Working with Victory was truly a win, as they helped me with multiple international and corporate moves while providing excellent service and communication (#1) the whole way. They were a full service moving company, which meant they helped with the packing process in addition to moving my things. They were punctual for my appointments and brought more packing materials (tape, cardboard, stuffing, etc.) than I really needed it. The fact they also specialize in packing fine art and antiques, I can completely understand why my things were treated with such care. They did an outstanding job in sealing everything off and were incredibly organized all around. While I didn't have much to move (#2), the entire process from start to finish was a breeze. Corporate moves and international relocation means that this is not going to be that affordable as a service. I would elect to use them every time if I could, but alas, their service is among the best I've experienced over the years. Sometimes the anxiety and stress of moving is mitigated by a company that knows what they're doing.
