This deli seriously needs a Health Department inspection. Since the new management took over, the quality has gone downhill badly. The original owners were great, but now ordering from here feels like a risk to your health. I was served spoiled salad, and the sandwich was clearly bad as well. How does a deli even serve spoiled cold cuts? That's completely unacceptable. Well let's start with it's very clean staff is reasonable prices are on par with a gourmet Deli. Ok so order my eggs 28 min wait for an omelet mention at the counter that kinda long wait for eggs and people there after me receive there order before me ok. Young man who states he's the owner poor manners and I guess he's prouder to be the owner of an establishment with a 2.5 star rating. Any way he states others placed orders on line well that's cool but u take care of the front facing customers who frequent your establishment on a daily basis in a timely manner. A deli by any other name would...- Princess Deli in Commack NY - is just that. A Deli. Come in after 2 pm- the pickings aren't great. Lovely coffees on the help your self side , shut down. Thank you to the customer who told me- as there was no sign noting they stop at 1 pm . The later info per a server there. Oh another server did tell me that they do have coffee regular and Decaf to serve from behind the counter when you order. Look for hot meals , there was some Swedish meatballs that I ordered and ask for and got, more gravy. They didn't have any more egg noodles, but the server thinking out of the box,was able to scoop up and heat some dried tomato and noodle salad for the entree that I ate there at their counter spot. Yes they had various breads and bagels. A challah bread on top the server slice a piece for me. Then I opted to purchase the rest of it. The meatballs were very pork taste. The bottle of juice did have pulp- a choice that I made, and the chocolate pudding, though I was told it is made there when I asked for regular, , did taste like instant. To my surprise a kind young man came and gave me my money back for the pudding. So overall it was a mediocre meal with pleasant enough workers. Though I'll go to my favs next time. read more

Six people working behind the counter, taking care of everything except the six people waiting on line trying to get bagels and on with our day is totally unacceptable IMHO. I was first online waiting 10 minutes for anyone to acknowledge my existence and then made to feel like I was interrupting his day is a great way to prevent me from returning to your business. The sandwich was average, at best. Couldn't have ordered anything more simple, yet they managed to make it tasteless. They charged me for lettuce AND tomato. When this deli switched hands the first week they were really trying to please their customers. For the past several months we have ordered stuff the orders come out wrong ! I actually ordered an egg sandwich on a croissant this morning the girl didn't speak very good English and when we picked up the sandwich she gave me a croissant that had chocolate chips on the top and scraped them off as if I wouldn't know to put an egg sandwich with ham and Swiss on it. Unacceptable and very unfortunate. They should've just waited until I got there to ask me what else I wanted. I am a small business owner and like to support small business but in the past three weeks we have had more than 12 orders that have not come out right. For years, I've been going into the deli. One of my offices is just a few doors down so it was convenient they were always friendly, service was good and food quality was good. I recommended them to everybody today that all stops lately the quality of the food that I've been getting is poor, I've tried to reach out to the management only to feel like I was bothering them if I asked for a sandwich to be made a certain way it would be nice if it was made that way that I asked for. Today, Sunday morning, I go in there and ask for an order of white toast with butter when I get to my vehicle and I open it up and the toast is cold, burnt and not even cut in half. I hesitated to call but I decided to call and I got a manager named Mike on the phone. Mike was very rude from the start and said how bad could it be? It's just white toast with butter. He got me angry with that response when you're spending between $12-$15 a day in a deli you expect a little bit of service and respect again. I just threw it away. His response and his attitude was unacceptable and they lost a good customer and someone that recommended them to everyone just down the road now I will find a new deli and I will never go there again and great job, Mike! From one manager to another do you need a little training in customer service. The bottom line is, I don't mind paying what I believe to be high prices. If I'm enjoying what I'm paying for. This deli is not what it used to be just because it looks really nice and shiny, doesn't mean that the people are friendly, and the quality of the food they put out is good. Located in a strip mall on busy Jericho turnpike, it can be hard to see as you are whizzing by, but it is definitely the place you want to hit for brekkie or lunch sandwiches if you are in this area. I used to work right on the border of Commack and East Northport nearby. Princess Deli serves THE most amazing breakfast sandwiches in the area. Aside from the yummy food, what stood out to me most was the speedy service. Even when I run late for work, there is no stopping me from getting my coffee and egg sandwhich!!
