Assorted dessert! The awameh balls were so good! - The image shows a metal tray filled with assorted Middle Eastern desserts, including pieces of baklava, knafeh, and fried sweet balls. The desserts are garnished with pistachio powder and powdered sugar, arranged in neat rows. The tray is placed inside a cardboard box, likely for takeaway or delivery, with a countertop visible in the background.

This is the place if you're looking for Middle Eastern sweets! Over 30 varieties of desserts, knaffe Baclava and cookies. They have boxes you can choose and fill and they will price it of you. I bought a big box for a potluck: see picture and it was around $40.

two trays of food on a tray - The image shows three pieces of Middle Eastern desserts in foam containers covered with plastic wrap. The top container holds two pieces of baklava, one plain and one topped with chopped pistachios. The bottom container contains a piece of a sweet pastry with a reddish syrup glaze and chopped pistachios. The desserts are typical of Middle Eastern bakeries, made with layers of phyllo dough, nuts, and honey or syrup.

I'm a big fan of basbousa/harissa, so I was disappointed to discover that my old haunt Albasha Sweets went downhill. I've tried other Middle Eastern dessert places in this area, but can' t say I was blown away by any one place. I do feel that every time I go to Prince Sweets the desserts are pretty good, so I decided to do a fun little experiment. I looked at all the dessert places in the area and found one I had never been to -- Nablus Sweets. I went there and got a couple pieces of basbousa (and my wife got some knafeh). I then went to Prince Sweets and got one piece each of three different types of basbousa: plain, coconut, and nut-topped. After getting home I made myself a cup of herbal tea and had a basbousa showdown. First I tried Nablus' basbousa. It was nice and moist. It had a nice texture, but it crumbled apart pretty easily. It was sweet enough without being cloyingly so. In short, it was very good. My wife liked it, too. I then tried a bit of each of Prince's basbousa. I noticed that Prince's version is harder and holds together better, but that it's also sweeter since it's drenched with more simple syrup. Having a variety was nice, but it's hard to say definitely whether Nablus or Prince is better. Both are very good. In fact, I'd say these are the top two Middle Eastern dessert places in this area as of right now. If you want sweeter, then go with Prince. They have a bigger variety of desserts there, too. But if you want something traditional, sophisticated, and subtly sweet, then go with Nablus. Both offer nice desserts. The parking is tight at Nablus, but the interior feels more welcoming. Service seems friendlier at Nablus, too. Parking isn't great at Prince, either. If price is a concern, Prince is cheaper (average $2/piece vs Nablus' average $3.50/piece).

Knafeh - A slice of knafeh, a Middle Eastern pastry made with shredded phyllo dough soaked in syrup, is presented on a white plate. The dessert is topped with crushed pistachios, adding a green contrast to the orange syrup and golden-brown dough. A metal spoon rests on the plate, indicating it is ready to be eaten. The background includes a glimpse of a red and black striped cloth.

The knafeh was actually really good I just wish it was hot.. it was served lukewarm at best. No issues with the service the guy was friendly.

I'm fair & reasonable with my score/review(s). Anywhere I walk into, I keep an open mind and acknowledgement. Here is my Review and why I scored 4/5 STAFF- Friendly, No new faces. I have been coming to this local bakery since I was a boy. The staff has been here for ages. SWEETS- Never Disappointed! PRICE- A bit on the pricey scale, compared to other local businesses... But it is what it is. I will continue my business with Prince's in order to support this local business. Ramadan Mubarak!

a variety of food items in a styrofoam container - The image shows a Styrofoam tray containing Middle Eastern desserts, including a piece of knafeh topped with whipped cream and pistachios, a portion of baklava with crushed pistachios, and small round pastries, likely sweet balls, all garnished with chopped pistachios.

Hands down my favorite place to get knafeh! Super friendly staff and the tastiest knafeh, would definitely recommend to all!!

Best 3owaymat. Loved it. 3owaymat and Turkish baklava are the only things we tasted so I am not sure about the rest of their offerings. But everything look good.

the front of the store - The photo depicts the storefront of Prince Sweets in Bridgeview, IL, featuring signage for jewelry and Middle Eastern sweets. The storefront has large glass windows displaying advertisements for jewelry, gold, diamonds, and various baked goods. There are neon signs indicating the store is open and a 'Help Wanted' sign on the door. The building has a brick facade, and part of a white vehicle is visible on the right side of the image.

Bad attitude, bad service. Their sweets tasted old. The guy was touching the money then the sweets without washing his hands or put gloves on , and no mask. Nasty service . Perhaps because I am a female. I do NOT recommend this business.

Fresh hot kanafa! This has to be best I have eaten in the States.

Every time I go to this place, I always get the freshest sweets from this place. Its such an authentic experience of the middle east! If this is your first time eating middle eastern sweets, I recommened either just asking what the most fresh sweets are, or the Iwami, which is always great with coffee Pro Tip: this place will usually let you sample any sweet you want before ordering. Be careful to not get too full!!

I have to say even thou the sweets were the best ive had the customer service def lacks! Came in here on Wednesday about 3pm. After being recommended to this place I decided to try it out since I was in the area and love kunafe! Upon arriving there was a gentlemen sitting down on the phone. After looking around he finally helped me and asked what i would like briskly. He seemed he was to busy on the phone rather than with the customer. I felt rushed, i had questions about sweets i never seen but he was in such a rush i didn't even get to ask. The over all sweets were really good! But due to the lack of customer service I most likely wont return.

Awama, Arabic version of loukamades. So good!

The lady at the counter was really helpful with describing the different cupcakes and what was in them. I tried the chocolate chip cookie dough cupcake, which was absolutely amazing. There was chocolate chips inside the yellow cake and had a really delicious buttercream on top. There was also actual cookie dough on the top and inside the buttercream. We really enjoyed it! 9/10 rating for me. The second cupcake we tried my fiancé really loved the most which was cherry cheesecake. There was cherries inside the cake, and that was also delicious. 8.5/10 Both cupcakes came out to be a little over eight dollars total, but they run different specials every day and they also sell many other bakery items that looked amazing.

On Monday December 29th I started calling places frantically looking for a Bakery that was 1) OPEN and 2) could fulfill an event cake order for the Saturday after New Years. Dough Guys and Sharon saved the day. They took my call on Monday and got me in touch with Sharon asap to place the cake order. I sent them a picture of what I was looking for and they absolutely delivered on the decoration. The cake was so delicious that I had no problem with my guests wanting to take extra pieces home. It was super fresh and the banana filling was very generous, not that thin layer you see from other places. The buttercream even tasted great. I also have to mention the price was beyond fair. Thank you Dough Guys, you made a customer for life. I'm sorry I hit you last minute for a custom cake but I'm glad it allowed for us to finally try your cakes! The donuts are phenomenal btw...

Your sweets have blessed the community and visitors for so many years, and this is us letting you know ; We haven't forgotten! I'm returning after 20years, and they are still doing an amazing job. So busy. So busy. BEST PRICES you'll ever find. Quality sweets, the cookie dough, it's not an overwhelming amount of cream cheese. Sometimes too much over powers the taste- this dough is perfect for the amount of filling they add to the Kolchki. (I'm sorry, I spelled that wrong. )So the balance is great. Not too much dough, Not too much filling. Balance. I love that I can dip it into my Tea and it doesn't fall apart. Personally. They don't sell tea and this is Take Away Only. ORDERS are encouraged. There was a lot of clear signs for customers . Pick up was very organized. They use a number system to manage it well. Like the deli department in many stores. But this is the GREAT Bakery. And the price is so reasonable , wow. They care about their community and it shows. Polite people. Busy but Organized. Many can't get that part of business straight so I applaud them. Disciplined. Thank you for still being here in the community and we love it. HIGHLY Recommend checking out this area. Lots to do over there. Fun stuff.
