Our first experience here was during COVID and they were great then. But now...AMAZING! Such a cute little place to have breakfast, brunch or lunch. But it's also a great spot to just stop for a coffee or a pastry. The baker is the best. The staff is so polite and goes above and beyond. They are super accommodating and informed when it comes to allergies. The biscotti is the best ever and so many flavors!!!

Very cozy ambience. The servers were very attentive. The food super delicious and tasty!! This place have a variety of GF, vegan, and regular great food. I have family that are vegan and they suggested this place. We ordered coffee for everyone and they were served and cute little cups. They were refilled very often. Plenty of coffee and cream. One of my sisters ordered the oatmeal pancakes for everyone in her family. My Dad ordered the Spanish omelette, my mom the strawberry waffle, one of my other sisters ordered the ham and cheese omelette. my other sister and I wanted to try different things and we shared our dishes. So I ordered the grilled veggie sandwich with hash browns and my little sister the cream brûlée French toast. Let me tell you, everyone was very delighted with their food. I was in heaven with my sandwich it had mushrooms, bell peppers, onions, and a big piece of zucchini topped and some spinach, with mozzarella cheese!! The veggies were cooked in butter and on wheat bread. I highly recommend this sandwich. I bet they can adjusted for vegans. Also the French toast was supper extremely delicious. It tasted like bread pudding with some flan on top. So creamy and buttery and crunchy!! Definitely a place to comeback!! We really enjoyed our time there. The food the service great so great!!

Family owned bakery manned by the nicest staff I have encountered in a long time. Great food. Fast. Fresh pastries and a great selection of coffee. The ambiance is very peaceful and welcoming. 10/10 recommendation

Mushroom and mozzarella quiche with roasted red potatoes. Also, an iced butter pecan latte. Everything was amazing!

Apple Crepes with no filling in them just on top.

The environment of the place was nice. They had so many things on display. From there fresh baked breakfast to the house provided coffee beans. They even sell newspapers. I can tell this place has been around for a while. Now, the place itself was great but the crepes I had for my blog were not the best. The crepes were gummy and tough. They were unfilled which isn't normal. When I think about all crepes they are filled, but if you choose not to fill them then the crepes themselves need to pack a punch of flavor and they did not. The apples I had on top were cooked to perfection and had a boat load of flavor. Unfortunately they did not help the crepes when eaten together. I could not finish them and I hope they change the recipe. Even their meat lovers skillet was a mess.

I was hesitant of writing this review because I was being selfish. However, I can no longer keep this place a secret. Plus they deserve this review. Beverly Bakery and Cafe is my favorite breakfast spot. It's a mom and pop cute little quaint restaurant. It stands out because the concrete wall on the outside is painted mint green. The restaurant holds about 40 to 50 people. There is also a small patio on the back for about ten people. Off street parking is available in the back and on the side of the building. The pancakes are made from scratch. They have turkey sausage patties that are amazing. If you like southern eating try their shrimp and grit. This is a great place to get fresh coffee beans they grind their own coffee bean. I'm not a big coffee drinker but I love the smell of it. If you are a pastry lover try their cream puff, chocolate cake donut and their hummingbird bread. Mmmm delicious the staff is very helpful. On a scale from 1-10 they get a 10. The owner is such an awesome person. I had to give him a hug the last time I saw him. Keep up the great work and continue to keep your customers smiling.

Very cute little bakery with a variety of coffees, breads and even breakfast food. Someone in our party was a vegan and she was accommodated and very satisfied with the options available. The prices were also very reasonable and the bakery was small but used their space efficiently to have a handful of tables to eat there. Very nice decor and will definitely be coming back.

I don't want to call the chicken pot pie a religious experience, but it's close - it's that good. Try it; you can thank me later!

We have achieved some sort of appreciation and need to celebrate with love . We were seeking a cupcake institution to make our dreams of cupcakes possible . Lo and behold, beautiful things came to fruition! We have cupcakes! This business, small cakes is a great cupcake franchise that is all over the country, apparently! They even have some of the same flavors that we remember. Oh for the small joys of remembering the past now in the future. We are stopping just to pass through . It's truly amazing here in the city of Chicago! Cupcake rock! The cupcakes are amazing! The staff is even greater! It's so hard to order just one or two ! How about a half dozen? We will need cupcakes later on I'm sure . It was a joy to talk with the staff and have them fulfill all our cupcakes needs. Just like days of old, but in the now ! It's time to give the staff here some credit they are busy little humans making and selling cupcakes for all to eat and enjoy. The store was spotless . What's not to enjoy?
