Trivia- Mondays they have trivia. Brandon did a excellent job hosting. Perfect amount of time and good mix of history, geography, and pop culture questions. He was interactive,friendly, and organized. The time flowed well and playlist throughout was eclectic. Drinks- love the varieties of beer and wine. Flights or glasses. We explored it all. Food- pizzas were tasty but small portion size. Pretzel was delish and dipping sauces a great addition. Caprese salad with pesto was fresh and light. Service- Heather, Danielle, and Deb took great care of us. Helping as we chose our beverage and dining options. Vibe- there was something for everyone. Beer. Wine. Slushies. We visited on a weekday, when the tasting room was not very busy and were immediately greeted warmly by two staff members. They explained the winery's operation to us and described the wines offered for tasting. All of the wines we tried were excellent. The tasting room has many eclectic items for sale, including some very nice Venetian glassware, which we purchased. The colocated brewery is also excellent. Good Day, another wonderful visit at Prince Michel (PM). I am a member from Florida and visit when we are up to Virginia each year to visit family. We are doing a mid week winery run and planned lunch at PM. We were greeted warmly at our arrival at on a wonderful sunny Wednesday with the temperatures about 70 degrees. Started with a red flight while ordering food. Had the Cab Franc, Merlot-Cab, Cab Sav & Petit Verdot. All were delish Sorry but I am a red guy and like them toward the dry side. Next is Lunch, my partner and I decided on the Duck Wings & Pepperoni Pie. OMG we loved them both. The Duck wings were juicy and melt in your mouth. They were sweet and a little heat but for me it was just right. The PPie was very good a nice amount of Pepperoni and lots of Mozzarella YUM! For a snick item we had the Outsiders Kitchen Red Wine Pretzel Bites. OWG they were so delish a hearty sourdough def a sweet and salty confection. Infused with red wine! 7/31/21: Warmly welcomed by Susan at the door, we were glad to finally make it back to PMV after too many months away! Katie was our TRA and boy was she friendly!! (in the best way)! She gave us a tasting of the club selection Rose and let us swap out for the Viognier. She is super sweet and friendly! We came to take advantage of low 80 degree temps at the end of July in the Old Dominion. We also had a wine shipment so we figured we'd kill two birds. Excuse us but we have a glass to sit and sip. We stopped in to try cider, beer and wine and the place is gorgeous inside! E had high hopes but as they say "you can't be good at any one thing if you try to do everything". This mantra is true here as we tried a red and white wine flight, cider flight and all of the brews on tap between the 4 of us and did not really enjoy any of them besides the espresso stout. They had live music of a guitarist and violinist/pianist and they were so wonderful to hear. The service at the brewery pub side was excellent as she let us try all 5 or so beers on tap before we decided on the stout. Maybe we'll try them again in some time. Good parking and tons of sitting areas inside for privacy or groups. read more

On our way out of the area we spotted the Prince Michel. While it wasn't impressive on the exterior, it seemed like a fun last stop. We were right. Here you can have your wine tasting or your cider flight or your beer flight - we opted for all of the above because nothing is worth doing half way and momma didn't raise no fool or something else to justify the splurge. The ladies from the Prince Michel team were very friendly and upbeat, which made it for for us and they answered my questions regarding the beer and cider tasting. It was very good and we moved on to the wine tasting area. There's a nice selection of wine so we ordered ours and sat in the comfy seats in front of the tasting area. They also have a wide (and kinda crazy) variety of things for you to buy as well. We didn't indulge, but we ran into an 80 year old gentleman (club member) celebrating his birthday so we bought him a bottle of wine (enjoy, Sir!). The wine was delicious and the team members in the wine area were just as great. Overall it was a wonderful experience and I just about wished I could have spent some time there sipping more wine. Prince Michel is definitely awesome and I'd love to return some time! read more

They go above and beyond in more than just their customer service. You really feel valued here. We met some family and friends (it was a good halfway point for us all), and not only was everything delicious and the atmosphere was so welcoming, but I was impressed that the bottled water was complimentary (I've never seen that before!) and the CEO came to our table to personally thank us for being there, gifting us some beautiful waxed Amaryllis bulbs! I was so impressed that we bought extra wine and plan to spread the word and return. read more

Prince Michel has a lot going for it - tons of outdoor seating, wine, beer, slushees and food. Plus the Saturday we stopped by, they had a musician playing about 10 feet apart from anyone in the crowd. We got some snacks, a wine slushee, a blue raspberry cider and grabbed a seat outside. It was a nice way to spend a Saturday afternoon! I had the wine slushees and they were good but the peach one was the best (others were sangria, cotton candy and piña colada). One thing I will say is it was a pretty busy place and while most were wearing masks, not all. They have indoor seating too and you can be eating/drinking at a table which is tricky when you have to walk by them to order at the bar. They should have better ordering protocols in place to avoid everyone crowding up at the bar. The seats outside were spaced pretty well apart but the people walking past to order inside weren't always spaced apart or wearing masks, which ruined the experience a bit. read more

This establishment has to be one of the best in Virginia. To start, the wine is well crafted and delicious. This credits the master winemaker and staff in the winery. It also credits the source of their grapes who clearly stays in communication with the winemaker at harvest time. We've all seen it on the side of the road and wondered... so I did. Service was awesome which is always my pet-peeve. Food was fresh and enough for two. The food temp was a little cooler than desired. The flavored Slushies were great and I had a bottle of red was very nicely paired. The downside of this establishment is the views or lack there of. The pub grub is outstanding, the menu is not extensive but what they have is good. I like the fact that they change up the menu in the seasons. Service is always great, the people remember you and I think every time I've visited I'm asked was everythink okay. The staff cares. Date of visit: Sunday, July 4, 2021 We haven't been here in a few years and forgot just how much we like it here! They take the Virginia Wine Pass which always gets a winery a star in my books! They offer a BOGO tasting with the Pass. I got the sweet wine tasting and hubby got the fine wine tasting. They serve the tastings in little plastic shot size cups (wish it were real glasses) and you do the tasting yourself at a table at your choosing. We love doing it that way at our leisure! Wines were pretty good. We ordered a sandwich though that we really did not like at all... some sort of steak with horseradish. The flavors were good but the steak had too much fat running thru it. The venue here is really nice. The band was great. Oh, and did I mention the Tap 29 Brewery!? Cool place inside and hubby liked his flight. We will be back for sure. read more

One of our favorite wineries. We've been members for a few years. I enjoy the events this winery has for its members and also the live music for everyone to enjoy on the weekends. All of their wines are outstanding although my two favorites are Symbius and sweet white reserve. The food menu changes and gets additions quite often which keeps us going back as well. It's a great place to hit on the weekend for a nice lunch and a bottle of vino.....But they also have Beer, cider and wine slushies too. Definitely check them out and enjoy. read more

My girlfriend and I stopped here on our way to Roanoke for the weekend. This was a very nice establishment. The staff was friendly, the facility was clean. We ordered 2 flights of wine, a pepperoni pizza and 2 wine slushees. They have a very decent selection of wines to choose from. 2 groups to choose from costing $12 and one premium group to choose from costing $15. I was absolutely pleased with the pricing. My favorite wine was the Rapidan River Sweet White Reserve! The pizza quantity was slightly disappointing. I was expecting a larger portion size. It was more along the lines of "personal pan". It was, however, flavorful and filling. I would recommend this to anyone. We finished with the slushees. This is what made us stop in the first place lol. They had a Sangria and Peach flavor (wine); we got one of each. They provided us with a third cup for free and we mixed the two in this cup. Each was delicious and I highly recommend these to anyone stopping in especially if it's hot outside. Overall, lovely place. We're definitely going back and I suggest stopping here if you are passing through or live nearby. read more
