After a long day hike in Shenandoah, we decided to stop by this vineyard. There was a place for wine tasting, a different place for beer and food, and an overall merchandise area. We went for quick beer flights and food. The staff was engaged and made sure we got our food reasonably quickly as they understood we were hungry. I was trying to find a favorite beer, but unfortunately, I liked them all, haha. We couldn't tell if the food tasted good or if we were influenced by our long hike, but we ate all of it quickly. The tall ceiling made the place look expansive. It's a bit of a drive for me to come back just for it, but if I'm ever on the way, I'm definitely stopping by for the beers.

We had a lovely lunch at Prince Michel. First and foremost they allow our fur baby inside, which is key in January!!! The food, while not Michelin star level, is tasty and very reasonably priced for a winery. No $22 tiny pizzas here! Service is friendly, ambiance is welcoming, bonus points for self guided winery tour. Oh, the wines are fine :) Not going to win any Governor's cups but perfectly quaffable and reasonably priced.

Staff took no notice of me on a weekday. Noted! Very cluttered vibe which was awkward.

Every time I visit the area from out of town, I do my best to check out different Virginia wineries but am continuously drawn to DuCard. I'm not a wine connoisseur but I do raise my pinkie when raising a glass. I do my best to try as many as I can - red and white, when not having to drive, just to experience the different wines available. All have been delicious and I always walk out with a few bottles. The staff is incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, the ambiance is loose, open, inviting, and just a cool laid back vibe. There seems to be entertainment every time I've visited and nosh is available as well. Definitely put this place on your places to visit when in the area.

He asked me where I was from and when I told him he said "I am sorry". Not cool at all. After that he asked if we liked red wine, we said no. He brought 2 glasses out anyway and insisted we try it. We finally gave in but we didn't like being pressured. We still don't like red wine. Then he asked if he could sit with us. We reluctantly agreed but instead of taking the empty chair he grabbed my wife's purse without asking and moved it to the other chair. What should have been a nice and semi private experience ended up being spent with a pushy host. Not contemplating going back.

I enjoyed the Governor's Flight, and from the first pour, I knew this place was special. The wines were beautifully crafted, the presentation charming and eclectic, with each tasting served in unique vintage glassware that somehow feels elegant, fun, and completely unpretentious. The standout for me was the Village Estate Reserve. The aromatics immediately pulled me in, and the palate just kept evolving -- balanced, expressive, smooth, and revealing new layers of flavor with every sip. One of those wines that makes you stop mid-conversation just to appreciate what's happening in your glass. Beyond the wine, the owners are gracious, the grounds are beautiful, and yes... they welcome furry companions, which earns bonus points from me and the boys. Add in the stunning locally crafted furniture and thoughtful décor, and the entire experience feels warm, curated, and authentic. If you're near Culpeper, Charlottesville, or simply looking for a beautiful Virginia wine experience, Revalation is an absolute hidden gem. Highly recommend.

It is such a cute spot with shaded Adirondack chairs offering beautiful views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The flights come in cute, antique, mismatched wine tasting glasses. It was extremely peaceful and we'd definitely come back.

From the moment we arrived, I was completely blown away. As we parked and walked toward the field--with gazebos and a dock with seating--I immediately noticed how kid-friendly the vineyard is. The playground setup was incredibly creative and perfect for sparking a child's imagination. I honestly wish I had known ahead of time because I would have brought my little one! The property itself is beautiful and very well maintained. There were horses roaming around, which added such a peaceful charm. As we explored, I kept noticing thoughtful and unique touches everywhere--from a stunning wine tree to large decorative clay pots, and even buildings designed to resemble a Greek town that house classic cars. It all made the experience feel extra special. There was a wedding taking place, so part of the property was closed off, but it was easy to see how perfect this venue would be for an intimate "I do." Inside the main building, they offered a great selection of food, an impressive wine list available by the glass, bottle, or flight, and hands down the best wine slush I've ever had. My only critique is that it seemed like the AC wasn't working inside, and I really felt for the bartenders who were working so hard as it got busier throughout the day. Overall, I absolutely loved this place. It's one of the few spots that truly caters to both adults and children, and I'll definitely be back.

The wines are excellent and there are several tasting options you can choose- I believe there was a red flight, a white flight, and a "signature" option that had both. You also have the option to build your own flight, which I always love. The 2024 rosé is a standout, we picked up several bottles to bring home. We could not believe how good the food was- it was worth a trip in its own right! It's on the pricier side but it is clear why, the plates wouldn't be out of place at a fine dining restaurant. We also had the kindest server, Chelsie, who made our experience so special and memorable! She stopped by to chat several times, gave us great recommendations, and she could not have been nicer to me and my friends. We were lucky enough to attend our dear friends' wedding here and it was a spectacular wedding venue. The space is just beautiful and the catering was incredible- some of the best wedding food we've had by far. We liked it so much we came back to visit the tasting room the next day :) This is a perfect stop on the way to Charlottesville from the DMV and a gorgeous place to spend an afternoon.
