I'm about 4 visits over the past 2 years. I love the availability and flexibility with scheduling. I love how cute my baby looks after her visit. I don't love the prices, but I'm not sure if they're reasonable priced or not because I've never taken my dog niece anywhere else. On our first visit 2 years ago I paid around $60 bucks. On my last visit I paid $75 for the "Summer Cut". Sometimes I don't believe the clip her nails. On our last visit I was sure to say, please click her nails. This time I could tell it was done, not sure if its done every time. I don't like the smell in the place. I have no idea what it is and why it smells so strange. On our last visit, it didn't smell as bad and the place was cleaner. Parking can be a sticker. read more

First of all let me say that my first reaction was I felt like I was back in Hong Kong. If you ever have been to Hong Kong, you know what I mean and that everything is jacked into tiny tiny spaces. It makes New York look expensive and generous in rent it space. So when you walk in, it's nothing fancy, I appreciate you can see all that's going on with the haircutting as the walls are glass or plastic see-through. My little pup is always nervous when it comes to haircut so I can't really judge on that but the product is always great and consistent. They also all the places I've tried here in Baltimore, definitely put the most effort into brushing his curly hair out so they don't have to just shave him every time, which I greatly appreciate! read more

I've been to Prince Benji's twice now. The second time they cut my dogs hair too short :( However, they do a good job. They are very efficient and convenient. You can make an appointment the same day and they will get you in. The employees are very friendly and they groom your pet in about 30 mins. They give your fur baby a little bandanna and spray puppy cologne on them. I don't live that close to This place but it's worth the drive. read more

I chose a certain level cut I wanted for my pup, and SPECIFICALLY told them my 10 month old pup has anxiety and to please be patient with him, if he's too much for you all please give me a call and I will pick him up no problem. these horrible people decide to just shave my puppy down not even in a nice cut you can literally tell she took scissors and just started chopping away!!! Upon my arrival for picking him up, he was shaking uncontrollably and jumping out of her hand, scared to death! I can only imagine what she did to traumatize him for the rest of the Weekend he was Scared confused and I could tell he felt like he couldn't trust me! I asked for a refund they refused. If I could give this place a 0 I would. You guys permanently damaged my Pomeranians hair. I took 2 of my dogs in months ago to fix some light matting and get them back on track, and not only did you use an electric razor on them, you permanently damaged my dogs hair!! Since then, her skin has changed colors, none of it has grown back, one of the dogs has been getting repeat scabs on the side of his leg. This isn't okay!! During the Christmas season, I wanted to get my 3 dogs groomed, but everyone was either booked or closed. This was the only groomer who would take my 3 pups at the last minute. They did an excellent job within a short time. There is very little parking so plan to get out of your car and return quickly. When you first go to the location, it is may be difficult to spot because it is a small place. However, do not let the appearance of the location fool you as they are fast and affordable! read more

I wanted to get my pip groomed before Thanksgiving since family would be in town. This place was recommended by a friend of friend Simple appt set up over the phone. Very straight to the point. Just tell them what time you want to bring your pup. They seem pretty accommodating. Groomed my pup in 1 hour (though they said 2 hours to be safe since it was her first time there). I was super nervous to drop off my pup for the first time with strangers. He's only 4 months old and we've not left him alone for more than 2 hours at a time. After many recommendations from other doodle parents, we chose Prince Benji as our first stop on the grooming tour. I think we'll stay! Theo looks amazing! He's so soft and fluffy and smells so good! He's primed and ready for family holiday photos. We will definitely be returning every 6 weeks for Theo's grooming. Price is about what we'd expect. Just picked up my sweet goldendoodle! He looks great and is exactly what I wanted! The owner was quick and efficient and called as soon as he was ready (about 2 hours). They also do not crate all the dogs which I love. Alittle on the pricey side but absolutely worth the price when you take all the good things about this place into account. My Shorkie Tzu Pup...Her name is "Munchkin" and she's half Yorkie and Half Shih Tzu. She's 3 months old today 10/21/23 and I decided she needed her first grooming. I took her to Prince Benji on 41st street in Baltimore Maryland, across from Giants shopping center. I called the day before and was able to get an appointment for the next morning at 9am. Prince Benji are very nice people, they welcome, greeted me and said my pup would be ready in two hours. I hung around the shopping area and to my surprise Prince Benji called saying my pup was ready and it had only been 1 hour...happy about that. I picked my pup up and all smiles from me...Prince Benji had my "Munchkins" looking so cute with pink bows in her hair. My pup is only 3 months, Prince Benji recommended not too much hair taken off, just the puppy cut and I agreed. I was very pleased with the cut Prince Benji gave my pup. My pup smelled like she had been washed, groomed...smelling fresh and clean. I then took my pup home, where she ate, pooped, peed and went to sleep. Best of all my Pup was so excited to see me and glad to be back home...that made my whole day. I did not have a good experience at Prince Benji. I was quoted a price over the phone when I booked my appointment. when I arrived at said appointment time I was told the price was different then the original confirmed price. When I picked up my dog she was cut extremely shorter then what I requested. I stressed my concern and displeasure with the hair cut my dog received. upon further examination of my dogs hair cut I noticed she had a bald spot on the top of her head. I was very displeased and called the shop to complain. The manager/ owner went on to refuse a refund even though a refund was never requested by me. They then went on to telll me they would be refusing to have my dog continue to be a client. The customer service I received was below average and was not how I expected to be treated as a paying customer. I would not recommend anyone take their dog to this establishment. My poor dog was tramatized and so was I. Now we have to wait months for my dogs hair to grow out from this horrible experience. read more

This was our first time at Benji's, not sure if they liked it. I know they look great and smells amazing. I can say that their nails were cut but not enough, they are still sharp, not as much as they were but still sharp, I will be going in an trying to buff them a little. They also have been doing a lot of scratching, not sure if it is the chemicals that were used, but this is one day from their visit. If this continues I will find out why and do something about it, but as for now, I do plan to go back unless this happens to be an issue that I need to take further steps to keep my dogs safe. If you're a doodle mom, you will know how difficult this can be (otherwise your dog may end up looking like a poodle or completely shaved)! I was nervous as always with a new groomer, but after picking Zoey up from here, I am so happy I found this place. She was able to fit me in very quickly (which also made me nervous, b/c my old groomer in Virginia was always booked solid for weeks), but they did an amazing job! My doodle looks adorable, seems happy and got a great cut. Brought in my two small dogs a teacup yorkie and a Frenchie I asked for a typical yorkie cut with fury paws even showed them a pic of my dog when he's cut like that. They said it wouldn't be a problem and said 2 hours until both ready. Great right?! Well I go to pic up both pups my frenchies nails are hacked and rigged. They are shorter but a lot sharper and getting caught in everything because of the rigged cut. What happened to buffing the nails or at least leveling them?? My yorkies haircut was very choppy and Uneven. When I pointed out to a woman who obviously hadn't seen the dog before turning him over to me she immediately agreed and took him back another 10 mins to "recut" him. Like whaaa how do you call and say an animal is ready before checking him. They charged extra for the yorkie but clearly didn't bother to give him a decent cut. Even after the second try he's still uneven. And definitely not worth the $65 I was charged for him plus the $35 I was charged for my frenchie Pro : was able to get a same day appointment CONS: bad service *bad haircut *poor nail trim *broke my dogs collar *dirty establishment I do not recommend and I will not be going back. read more

I have used Prince Benji three times. The first visit was great. The second visit they raised the price to bath and brush my medium size dog of only 9 months of age ($35.00) which I thought was a fair price. The third time (Today) only 2 months after my second visit I arrived to pick up my dog after having the same procedure as my second visit and I was told I owe $60.00. I questioned the amount and was told that everything goes up and dog had gotten bigger. (???) In 2 months, he didn't get that much bigger. He's a Chihuahua for goodness sake. I will not be returning....... They're service is impeccable though and the dog always looks nice & smells great. read more

The lady who groomed her was very nice but there was a language barrier, i understood her pretty well though. The place doesnt smell of wet dog, and it is very clean. Pros- - no nicks or scratches on my baby - she smells amazing - the groomer listened to all of my requests - flat rate fee of $60 (can be a con to some people) Cons- - PARKING LOT IS SO SMALL, it was hard to park and back out, very dangerous - the lady accidentally charged me twice and couldn't understand why it happened even though it was obvious that she swiped the card twice. BUT she did refund me! Overall i was happy with how my puppy looked and smelled afterwards. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who has road rage because of the parking. read more

I wish I liked this place. So many of my neighbors seem to have enjoyed it. Unfortunately, my dog came back with what I thought was a cut on his stomach but it turned out to be ringworm. The haircut they gave him was done pretty poorly and was uneven, and definitely not what I asked for. He was also incredibly itchy for 2 weeks because they trimmed the hair around his ears wrong, so they kept tickling the inside of it. They also didnt bathe him. They just sprayed doggy perfume on his coat (there was dirt on him still). Definitely a waste of $80. He has also now been rubbing his butt along the carpet since. I dont recommend going here to anyone. Especially if you have a lab/cockerspaniel. read more

I have been taking my best friend's dog there for about 2 years now. They have always done a really good job even with the language barrier they seem to know what to do without being told so much information. However when problems arise. I needed an interpreter to get my point across what they had done. I'm not sure how long they've been using Them before I started driving the dog back-and-forth to the groomers. This last time should be the last time my best friend uses this establishment. While I have nothing against people who don't speak English very well but when you're in a business where communication is vital you should learn better English or have an interpreter on hand. The last time we picked up Snickers from the groomer he had such bad razor burns from the clippers that it took a layer of skin off of his genitals and his underside of his belly. If me or my friend were Latigious people It would be hard to ignore this evidence in court. What I got when I tried to call and explain the situation was the obligatory I no speak English well.. I no understand. Yet any other time we give you directions on what type of cat we want or how long the hair we want or if we wanna bow or not. Or a bandana. They are able to understand those directions but when there's a problem suddenly your ability to communicate in English is suddenly lacking. read more

Well honestly, my Yorkie dog wasn't bathed, her haircut was totally botched - she was just shaved down all the way to her skin despite my specific instructions, her hair was put in a pony on her head (how she typically wears it) that was SO TIGHT that her eyes were being pulled up. They CUT her eyelashes- my specific request to avoid. I watched them spray human perfume on her, all the dogs (4-6 in there) were crying - only pro is it was same day. It stunk in there, it was dirty, never again. My dog seemed traumatized. I brought her home and bathed her. $75 down the tubes. Pretty on the outside, mess on the inside. read more

To my surprise, I took my toy poodle today and the groomers said, two hours...well she called me an hour and half later and he was all ready to go. This groomer does everything, bath, cut, nails, express glands and etc. As many times last couple of years I drove right past but not no more. The groomer is so nice, caring, efficient with a see through glass, very easy to see animals being groomed. I have a nervous Australian Labradoodle and was worried for his first haircut with me. Customer service was A++ and Hunter was perfectly calm and happy when I picked him up.
