I received a phone call from an employee in the grooming department by the name of India M. My dog was in her schedule. She proceeded to tell me she could not do her bath and brush because three other people have called out. I couldn't figure out why she was canceling my dog for department call outs. I'm still wondering while writing this review... I told her "That is not going to work for me". She then started to tell me about the current COVID19 policy . I was told this already originally when I made the appointment. I also explained how my dog was not a fan of bath time and she could be muzzled for nail clipping.(also told to staff members when I made the appointment). She said I'm reading in her file that she's aggressive, doesn't like bath time, may growl etc. So I started to think she is definitely prejudging my dog before meeting her. She then said she has to come to me willingly. If not I will have to send her home. I was throughly heated now. I did end up calling back to cancel after some thought. I didn't think my dog would be treated fairly after that. I will be making a formal complaint with customer service. I will also be taking my dog to another grooming salon/ pet store.

I was trying to save money by not taking her to a personal groomer BUT her price was originally $51 and when I picked her up it was yet $49. You didn't do your job but yet I still have to pay. She looks the same as she did when I dropped her off! Pissed is an understatement! I will NOT be back!

We love Best Friends Fur Ever because of it being easy to make an appointment. Once you have gone through the initial enrolling process and gotten into their system, you fill in a request for service online and they contact you within 24 hours (usually it is closer to 12 hours). During stays, Best Friends Fur Ever have great communication. Sometimes they will upload pictures. They will reach out with any issues they have and respond quickly if you have any questions. The employees here clearly love dogs. No matter who the employee is, when we go to drop our dog off they get really excited to see our dog. He, in turn, gets excited to see them. We love that Best Friends Fur Ever will take care of grooming needs while we are away. If possible, they will trim nails, bathe them and express their anal glands. Finally, the biggest reason we choose Best Friends Fur Ever, is our dog always seems well taken care of when we return to get him. If he is happy, we are happy.

She also stated my breed usually doesn't do well at doggy daycare without even meeting my pet but she did state their was a dog there that was the same breed as mine. She made it overtly obvious there was some type of prejudice toward me. I wanted to see if she would even offer a brochure at the end of our interaction which she did not, I had to ask. Needless to say if you treat me in this manner I would not let you even lay eyes on my precious canine. BEWARE!! Make your own judgement but this was my personal experience.

My dog Izzy absolutely loves it at Paws! It's helped him socialize and he always leaves with a smile on his face. Most of the staff is also very nice, loving, good to the dogs. Besides a recent bought of kennel cough Izzy picked up at camp, we have no complaints about the day care. The issue I have is that out of the blue the owners decided to increase the half day rate from $19 to $35! That's 4 hours for $35! And a full day is the price of double what it costs for me to board my dog overnight at my veterinarian. I completely understand a business needing to hike up rates due to increased cost, but not only was this abruptly done, but the owner (like reviewer Hannah experienced) came up to me as I was picking up Izzy and said "we better buy packages now because prices are going up in a day or so!" It was rude and as a regular weekly customer I was offended that a mailing didn't go out, nor did an email or anything professional. Paws not only increases prices but no longer wipe the dogs down after they played and drooled on each other all day, and have not replaces their old, used toys in ages. Makes me sad but if prices don't go down, it seems like once our packages are done we will not be able to return to Paws. Just too expensive!

Yesterday, 5/4/26, my sister took our dog to PetSmart in Owings Mills. Zumba has been to this…read morelocation several times and no problem. In fact, we have used been using PetSmart, different locations, for probably over 20 years without incident. UNTIL YESTERDAY!!! Well, maybe I should say his previous visit as well. So, on the previous visit, around Dec. Zumba's underside was washed but apparently was not conditioned. Zumba is a Shih Tzu, so he is very short. After his last groom, he walked across the grass which was damp and immediately started to matt. I thought they probably did not condition his underside - no big deal. Anyway, he went to PetSmart yesterday for grooming. He had some matting issues under his coat and also on his underside, where he had immediately started matting from the previous visit. The groomer called and said it would cost extra - no problem. 4 hours later the dog still was not groomed!!! He had been washed and partially cut. The dog had apparently been sitting and waiting while they groomed other dogs even though Zumba had an appointment and also paid for additional time. When my sister picked the dog up, the dog looked like he was 96 y.o. and had been drunk for days. The hair on his head is chopped up, his face is chopped up, his beard is uneven, his feet look like he has boots on, hair is hanging down from his genitalia - lots of it. They told my sister they will finish him in the morning (today), now today they are saying Thursday. How they could even let a dog leave their establishment looking the way this dog looks is beyond me. They offered no refund, no discount, charged extra, said they would finish the job today, and now rescheduled to Thursday. This is the worse customer service and grooming service I have ever experienced. I do not recommend this particular PetSmart Grooming service at all. If I could give them a lower score I would. My dog looks so bad, that if I saw him on the street, I would not he was my dog.

I always feel respected, well-informed, and like my pets are being very well cared for after each visit. I particularly appreciate how doctors at Pikesville explain the thought processes behind their treatment recommendations and talk through the pros and cons of different treatment options in a way that empowers people to make well-informed decisions about their pets' care without feeling pressured to do the most expensive or most aggressive treatment option. Beyond those important fundamentals, they are extremely responsive and communicative, and they offer weekly late-night walk-in hours for simple needs like updating shots, which is such a helpful extra amenity! Most recently we've had routine and emergency (everyone is fine, thankfully!) appointments with Dr. Gough and Mags, who are such a pleasure to work with. This past week, because our dog can display problematic behaviors, the yard attendant who was with Bruno most of the day came out to talk with me. She was an older lady, so very kind and described his behaviors, and gave him breaks when he was unable to be recorrected, instead of calling us and making me worry. I appreciate their problem solving and patience with our dog.

Laura's Pet Grooming gave me an appointment the next day and I sat there while she removed them- she was amazing!! It didn't take much time and she cleaned up his undercoat and he looks great!
