Today I was helped by one of the best managers when she could've told me to return next time since they had not that many people working. But she went out of her way and I will never forget her going above and beyond

Store is clean and well stocked but sadly never answers the phone for Pet Grooming. Called for a couple of days at different times. I had to visit just to attempt to make an appointment for my dog who is an express breed so appointments cannot be made via the mobile app. I went all the way there and they said they are short staffed and can't offer a nail trim. I get it as many businesses are struggling but if the call was answered it would have saved me a trip. They have a pink sign up that was handwritten posted on registers that tells you to contact a woman (has name and gmail address ] for Pet Training. When you contact her she redirects you to go to the website instead of contacting her directly. Had about 5 team members on the floor but only 1 on the register. The line was all the way into the walking path for incoming customers but no one helped the cashier. Didn't love the experience.

Charlie is happy to be clean and groomed.

I talked to them about my dogs since it was the first time that both my dogs and I had been there, and I wanted to talk about the baths and other services. Amber took care of the nail trims for both of my dogs while another tech assisted. When I saw that my dogs were comfortable being there, I booked appointments for them for baths. I was initially planning to get a standard bath for both of them, but after reading the information, I decided to opt for an oatmeal bath for my little girl since she is itchier than my little boy. The staff recommended that I get an essential package for my boy, although I was unsure if it was truly necessary to justify the price increase for something that had never been needed before. I was told it would take one to one and a half hours for the baths, and that's about what it took. The nail trims were easy and reasonable. The baths were a little more expensive than I had anticipated and much more so than the place where they used to get their baths in another state. So I'll have to think about whether I want to upgrade beyond a standard bath in the future. I highly recommend their services because they are excellent and took great care of my dogs.

I put them in my tank & I lost a lot of fish, including my 2 angelfish which were already in the tank. My daughter who used to work there said that probably what caused so many to die is that it's not good to add too many new fish at a time. It totally messed up my water chemistry & took weeks to correct, while losing fish along the way. The girl who helped me knew they were all going in the same tank because I told her. She should have made me aware that it wasn't a good idea to add so many fish at once , instead of just letting me buy them. I won't be coming back to Petco to buy any more fish.

Our very first interaction was great...his energy was wonderful...he did not disappoint! He was very methodical with his approach...explaining every step of the process...very engaging...constant updates of the Boyz progress...videos, photos...wait! The photos that I received were Ahhhhhhh-mazing, I mean impressive...only to learn that he's a photographer as well...but I digress. The Boyz are spoiled and I have no shame in stating this...*smile*. But they needed to learn manners. I have two large and very strong Standard Poodles - Mr. Brown and Max. They're extremely smart, pretty obedient in the house, but a huge challenge on walks...my poor dog walker. I wanted to be able to take them anywhere without the extended conversations of sit, stay, what are you doing? you know better... etc. At any rate, I'd been following OLK9 Maryland for some time online. I knew that training for two dogs was going to be a budget buster. Thankfully, I was able to take advantage of the "Black Friday" or "Cyber Monday" (can't remember which one it was). I cannot say enough about the great experience I had...the Boyz were happy to see Craig each day which was a HUGE relief for me. Yes, additional work/training on my part is required...to me that's a no brainer. As a responsible pet owner, I want to make sure that there is consistency and an expectation that my Boyz are well behaved and well mannered. Which means I have to do the work. Funny, as I was driving home from our final session, I was so tempted to take them on a short walk because I knew it would be enjoyable. But decided to wait until morning... I'm so excited to be able to have an enjoyable walk with these guys... less scolding and more bonding. Well worth the time and financial commitment. Thank you OLK9 Maryland for bringing additional joy to our home... things are definitely more "manageable". I'm really looking forward to our walks, especially since there will be NO more pulling! Can't wait to be able to take them to the "brick and mortar" with me once it's open! "Life Changing K9 Training"

I was desperate to help my dog and myself and Off Leash K9 had good reviews. What these folks didn't tell me was that my dog's reactivity, what I thought was outright aggression, was actually fear - that she was scared of all of these things and trying to protect herself from them. So with the use of the e-collar (really just a shock collar let's be honest), I punished her every time she showed a fear response at Off Leash K-9's direction. This definitely changed her behavior, but rather than helping her feel more comfortable with the things that scared her, we instead punished her for being afraid and taught her to hide her fear responses. I wish I had looked at the science behind dog behavior, because I now know research shows that punishment through things like e-collars, buzz collars, spray bottles, etc. are incredibly counterproductive to changing dog behavior long term and they seriously traumatize the dog. I'm so very grateful to have met a Fear Free trainer who taught me about positive reinforcement. It has improved my relationship with my dog immensely and it has ultimately lead to the sustained behavior change I was looking for. Please do not waste your money on abusive, ignorant training through Off Leash K9.

Every young puppy should go though this class! My puppy left it confident and friendly towards all dogs and people! Basic Manners is a good introductory obedience class. It involves a lot of homework, so be prepared! It was hard for me to notice any improvement in my dog from week to week, but when he took the "final exam" on the last day of class, it blew my mind how much he had learned! As for the instructors, everyone is a certified animal behaviorist or working on certification. They really know their stuff. Since I haven't trained a puppy in a very long time, it put my mind at ease to have their reassurance that my puppy is progressing appropriately for his age and his behaviors are normal. I also really appreciate their willingness to answer questions before and after class, as well as over email during the week, so we can head off any behavioral issues before they develop into real problems. I feel the cost of the classes is comparable to others in the area, and it's an especially great deal when you factor in all the one-on-one instruction and the credentials of the instructors.

I was given a business card for East Coast Academy of Dog Training. The best recommendation ever. Initially, Paige was unmanageable on a leash. Her fear and anxiety caused her to be hyper reactive to wildlife, sounds, sudden movements. She would not respond to commands and she pulled me wherever she wanted to go. The first time Rob walked into my house, the whole energy changed. Rob has the most wonderful voice. He is soft-spoken. He never raises his voice. He has endless patience. Paige loved him from the first moment. For the first several visits, we worked inside on basic behaviors - come, sit, wait, etc. Paige caught on pretty quickly. So did I! It was as much about me learning as it was Paige. Rob always leaves detailed notes covering the lessons of the day. And consistent practice between visits is paramount. Then we began working on leash training for walks. Rob has given me valuable tools to make walks a positive experience for both Paige and I. We are still a work in progress and, weather permitting, I make a point of walking every day. Paige is so much happier and so much calmer. After 5 visits, I kept telling Rob that I needed more training. In his wonderful, calm way, he said that I didn't need more. That I had the tools to be successful and that he was only a phone call away if I needed to talk through anything. Rob never pushes additional visits if he feels you are ready to fly on your own. He has decades of experience. Go check out his website for additional detail. I appreciate Rob so much. He has made both Paige and I so much more confident. If you're looking for a more supervised daycare environment, structured play, hands-on one-on-one,…read moreor group training, I would highly recommend them. It's very clear how much the staff knows, and how deeply they care about every single dog that walks through their doors. Over the past few months, this is the fourth daycare we've tried for our dog. The first one we chose to leave. The next two either wouldn't accept her or ultimately asked her not to return. Our dog is an over 80-lb American Bully, and she truly doesn't have an aggressive bone in her body. We started daycare and boarding when she was about 8 months old. At nearly 50 lbs already, she was placed with the large dogs. In this large group play, the challenge wasn't aggression; it was that she was young, playful, and didn't always understand when another dog didn't want to engage. Two facilities told us they couldn't keep her in group play because other dogs would become reactive when she missed social cues and it wasn't safe for them or the dogs. After the second rejection, we reached out to friends and were highly encouraged to try Pet-U-Cation. We were told upfront that the training and care are exceptional, but as a small business with limited overhead and office staff, communication can sometimes require patience (which has also been our experience). Her evaluation went great. After two day-training sessions, she became a regular at daycare, and she absolutely loves it! The growth we've seen in her socialization and ability to read other dogs has been incredible. It's also reinforced the training we're doing at home and helping her overall learning and development (consistency really is key). We love that there is no more coming home from daycare with newly acquired bad habits.
