I needed help with training, and I honestly couldn't have made a better choice. Daft did an amazing job training Buffy and continues to work with her whenever he sees her during boarding. The entire staff is wonderful and treats Buffy like family. As soon as we get off the 95 exit, she gets so excited because she knows exactly where she's going and can't wait to get inside! They've even introduced her to swimming on Wednesdays and Saturdays, which she absolutely loves. I travel quite a bit and board Buffy frequently, and she always comes home clean, happy, and completely exhausted--which is exactly what I want! I'm writing this review because I learned the hard way that not every dog daycare and boarding facility is created equal. Since I live in Owings Mills, I decided to be lazy and try a place closer to home just for the weekend, Parkwood Pet Resort in Pikesville. I won't go into all the details because there's a lot, and I'm addressing those concerns with their corporate office. I'll simply say that after I had already paid a deposit and Buffy had completed her temperament test the day before, they made it very clear that they didn't want her there and even suggested that I take her to their West Baltimore location aka the more Urban location. I'll leave it at that because I don't want to turn this review into a negative one about another business. However, that experience definitely opened my eyes and made me realize just how special Downtown Dog Resort really is. So, this review is also my apology to Downtown Dog Resort for ever thinking that all dog daycare and boarding facilities were created equal. They are NOT! Thank you to the entire Downtown Dog Resort team for loving and taking care of my Buffy like she's one of your own. We appreciate you more than you know!

Anxiety consumed me because in my mind all I could picture was Bentley dragging me around and getting me soaking wet...lol! Nate & Janelle were absolutely amazing! They walked us through every step and though some people may think self-washing your dog is an easy task, it's not if your pet isn't cooperative. Max is 13 years old and he's gone to the Snooty Pooch as soon as I realized they existed, about 8-9 years ago. I went in to ask for a donation to a fund-raiser PHHS was having. Because the owner was so generous, I decided I would take Max to them for his next grooming as a thank you. We haven't been to anyone else since! The groomers are incredibly kind and protective. As Max has aged, he has developed some health concerns and they are very supportive of his special needs. I've taken Max to be fluffed and ready for a party as well as for his 8-10 week grooming. I have the highest regard for this business.

We moved due to military orders, but when we recently returned to the area, I tried to schedule an appointment again, and they declined me. They told me they were only accepting clients who had been there before, even after I explained that we were previous clients and had brought the same dog multiple times before having to leave because of military orders. They still refused to groom her. They also said they would add me to a waitlist over a year ago, yet I've never heard anything back. It's disappointing to see how much their customer service has changed, especially after being loyal for so long.

The woman who checked my dogs in was very thorough going over what I wanted done to each one of my two dogs (head, muzzle, body, tail), and she even took notes of my preferences which I loved, because I always worry in the chaos of the day they'll forget! After years of…read moreprofessional grooming appointments, I know when he's ready to be groomed and I always pay for the de-shedding package with the additional brushing because that's what his double coat requires. When I picked him up, I was told he did a great job overall. The groomer mentioned he gave a couple of warnings because he didn't like the brush, so I specifically asked if that affected the quality of the groom. I was told it did not. I waited several weeks before saying anything because I wanted to make sure the shedding wasn't just leftover loose hair. Unfortunately, he continued shedding heavily throughout my home. I even provided photos. What convinced me the de-shedding wasn't thorough was that very little hair was coming from his undercoat. Instead, the loose hair continued coming from his outer coat every time I rubbed him, even weeks later. When I reached out, I was told the brushing had been intentionally limited to avoid brush burn. While I appreciate wanting to avoid making a dog uncomfortable, I paid for the additional brushing service and don't feel I received the level of de-shedding I paid for. I was also confused by the explanations I received. At pickup, I was told my dog's behavior didn't affect the groom. Later, I was told he had actually been more difficult during the appointment, although I was again told that wasn't the reason for the outcome. I was also told maybe I brought him in too early, but after seven years with my dog, I know when he's ready to be groomed. To be fair, I don't place all of the blame on my groomer. My biggest disappointment was how the owner handled the situation. After I was told the owner would call me, I instead received a lengthy text message. I responded respectfully, answered every question, and provided photos, but I was never offered a touch-up, another de-shedding treatment, a partial refund, or any other effort to resolve the issue. Eventually, my messages stopped receiving responses. This salon charges premium prices, and I was willing to pay them because my first experience was so positive. If someone had simply called me and made a reasonable effort to resolve the issue, I would have gladly remained a customer. The day before, we called to make an appointment and they said, sure bring her in the next day. Our pup was fine going to the groomer and fine when we picked her up. Munchkin is 2 years old and she looked great and smelled so fresh. She was happy and playful as her usual self when she saw us. The groomer gave her a full cut short, just as we requested. Our Shih Tzu/Shorkie's fur grows very fast. This will be our new groomers going forward. The staff was nice and pleasant too. Thank you for giving our pup a great first time experience.

I was told I could pay extra for sn "express" job, but if you have an appointment, isn't that enough? They are expensive and greedy! Snoopy's groomers are timely. My dogs are usually ready within 2 hours and they ALWAYS look adorable. No weird haircuts!! I love the way Elana cuts my poodle mixes, but Joy did a great job when Elana wasn't available. They are nice people, and their shop is clean. Their prices are reasonable. I hope they stay in business forever!
