The food was delicious and the waitstaff was friendly and attentive, though I went during game time so there probably weren't as many people you might expect on a Saturday night. I expected the portion size to be smaller than what normally goes, and I was warned--but man, was my plate tiny! If not for that, I'd give five stars. I'll almost definitely be back... just when I want something on the lighter side. read more

Amazing food and even better menu. Great pricing! I eat here at least once a month. Always 10/10

This is my favorite place to get a cheese board. It is amazing. Beautiful place. Definitely a great place to hang out with friends.

yum yum yum! love this tapas restaurant. great service. limited ish seating and can busy! good atmosphere and has outdoor seating too. everything here is delicious. Literally can't go wrong. Highly recommend. Pricey side but worth it. read more

10/10 Love everything I've ever had from here. Food and cocktails are amazing! Great for a date night.

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary there last night and it was amazing. The food, drinks, atmosphere, and friendly service were all great! I told her it was probably the more notable dining experiences we've had in recent memory. We currently live in New Orleans so needless to say we have a lot of great options. We will make this place a new tradition when we come up to visit Aggieland. read more

I had never been to Primrose Path, nor will I ever again. The atmosphere was way too snooty for me. I like to feel welcome when I walk into a restaurant, not like they are doing me a favor serving me. The food was very expensive for tasting mediocre. After $50 per person, we all left the table still hungry. If you are hungry, keep looking. This is not the place for you! read more

My wife and I went for a long overdue date night and we're richly rewarded. The atmosphere and vibe were exactly what we were looking for. Upscale but not pretentious. The food, all of it, was amazing. The wine selection was good. We didn't see any of our favorites but were pleased with the choices we had. We will be back. read more

LOVE PRIMROSE PATH! By bar my favorite restaurant in College Station. The ambiance is irreplaceable. There is nothing like primrose path in college station. read more

Visiting my son at TA&M and friends we decided on this tapas restaurant for a nice night out. Jacob our server is well versed with the wines & suggested a drink that closely resembled sangria... very tasteful but get there early as it is made in limited batches daily. The high tables and chairs are comfortable and the ambience is upscale but not pretentious. Food is tasty and service is wonderful. read more

Best place I have been to in Bryan/College Station hands down. I think it's even better than their partner the Republic. If you're in the mood for good wine/liquor and tapas, go here. read more

Delicious tapas, huge wine list. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and helped us with food and wine pairings. The Brie en croute and smoked gnocchi were amazing, but we also loved bacon-wrapped dates, lasagna, Moroccan chicken, and pizza, all in little tasting sizes so everyone got to share a bit of everything. Can't wait to go back and try more dishes read more

Very good food, tapas, shareable dish, excellent drinks! All the dishes we tried were great, including desert! Recommended!

First visit; last night in College Station. Dinner at the bar. The bartenders were welcoming, informative and the small plates fabulous. Bacon wrapped dates, steak special and flat bread terrific. They sent us home with churros and chocolate for invalid chocoholic mother. We will be back. Beautiful restaurant. read more

The restaurant has absolutely amazing food. I was extremely impressed with the calamari. Based on the food and wine selection this is by far one of the finest places in BCS to eat. The food is tapas style and is meant to be shared. I was with a group of five and this is where the problems began. The serving portions are small. I have seen larger kids meals. One plate would not fill a grown man, you will be hungry. We had to order so much food to feed the table the server suggested to bring it out in waves. I think we ended up ordering 12-15 different plates. This makes it a little pricey when you start to rack up several items. I will again repeat the food was great and getting the variety was very fun but the sizes could not feed my 10 year old. The other problem is the restaurant itself. It is well decorated and has an amazing ambiance. However, it is really loud and has odd echoes. I could tell a person at the bar 15 feet away from us could hear our conversation while the person across the table, I could not hear at all. The food is the best but the other part detracted from going 5 stars. I would go again for a business meeting but would skip if it was for a quiet romantic dinner. read more

Perhaps the worst experience in College Station. Keep in mind, there are about 45 great days to eat ouside in this town. I went to Primrose on a rainy, humid night, and I did have reservations. I was surprised to be ushered out to the "patio." It was dark, and the humidity was about 90%. When I went to mention my concern, the hostess rolled her eyes & was rude. Later, I saw someone who looked like a manager visiting with her. Very inconsiderate and careful not to look outside. The next two parties that arrived outside lasted about 3 minutes outside, and then went back in. Putting people outide in bad weather is not an oversight. It is 100% obvious intention to fill empty seats. To compound the miserable time, the waitress limited herself to about 4 visits to our table. I really don't blame her. The weather was simply gross. I will never go back, and I will never recommend. The correct resolution would have been to ask us to wait inside for the next available table or go to the bar to eat. read more

Another hit from Wade Barkman and company. Have now been here 4 times, and each time has been a 5 star experience. The same professional staff at The Republic work the bar and floor here too. So its a wine bar. The list is very nicely selected, and very nicely priced. Some oddities like a chenin blanc from Mexico are worth your attention. Probably more wines by the glass here than anywhere else in BCS. Food is tapas style...as in the closest thing BCS has ever had to actual tapas. They are meant for sharing so come here with friends. Start with the flatbread and shishito peppers, and move on to more substantial fare. Vegetarians will find options here as well. If there is one downside, its that the acoustics are not great, and it can be hard to carry on a conversation, so be aware of that. read more

I would consider my husband and I foodies for sure. We love trying new things and we love GOOD food. We did a random date night and I highly recommend this place, especially if you're one that loves trying different things. Every dish we had was delightful. We had a hard time picking our favorite of them all. We had a filet dish, shrimp dish, truffle mushroom dish, and a pesto pasta dish. We also had a cocktail each. I got my norm (a dirty martini) and it was made perfectly which I usually have issues with. My husband had a drink that is similar to an old fashion. It was also delightful. Super smooth. Of the food, my husbands fav dish was the pasta, and mine was a close call between the pasta or shrimp dish. Our waitress was super helpful and patient with our decision-making haha. She helped recommend things and talked through each dish. I loved that the dishes were almost like appetizers so you can try a bunch of dishes and not get stuffed off of one. Each dish is around $16 unless you get the more expensive selections. The vibe was great. My only complaint was it was noisier than I was expecting. But, I had someone tell me it was a quiet place so that's what I was expecting. Had I not been expecting a quiet sit-down, it wouldn't have bothered me. It wasn't loud, just not a quiet place. You can make a reservation online. While I was at work I put in for us to get a table and we got one for 8:00 pm. This was on a Monday, though. So weekends, I'm sure, are pretty busy. We will 100% be back to this place! read more

Ordered a lot of dishes, and every single one was amazing and unique. Especially loved the pastas. Desert was awesome too.

We have eaten here multiple times and each time gets better and better. Food, Staff, ambiance are all fantastic. On our most recent visit we had one of the best waiters we have experienced. Our waiter Brandon was very professional great personality and very attentive throughout our meal. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a casual but fun place to eat with great food. read more

I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the wine options. The staff was super helpful and knowledge. The only complaint I have is there are not really options without cheese or gluten. Everything we did eat was super yummy and worth the splurge. read more

We had 5:15 reservations for four and a toddler and the hostess said we had to sit outside. It was 62 degrees and dropping and there were mostly empty tables inside. She said she had reservations for the tables inside and couldn't accommodate us. Even though we had a reservation. We were here for our family Christmas dinner and that obviously got squashed. Do not come if you plan to enjoy time with your family. read more

Very fun atmosphere and great food. Love how there are small portions to try. We went with a larger group and tried several plates and didn't have a single bad plate! Highly recommend! read more

3.5 Stars. I really wanted to love this place. This is by far one of the most beautiful locations in town, but I was let down overall. The restaurant is small, and even with only a few other tables, you can hear every conversation. Three servers handled our table, so timing was very off with servers stopping to ask us repetitive questions or come literal seconds after the food was dropped off to no one coming for a long while after the food was finished. I love tapas style food because I think it is great for groups, but none of this food was meant for sharing. It was honestly just small plates, so the tapas advertisement seemed false. This would be a nice place for drinks with friends since the wine selection is very good, but I would probably not order the food. I thought about giving this place a 3 but I do feel like there is a lot of potential and the atmosphere is beautiful. I may try again in a few months once they are more established to see if it's improved. read more
