Visited Messina Hof during the Wine & Roses Festival and had a really nice time. The grounds are beautiful and easy to walk around. We spent some time by the pond feeding the turtles. I tried the Blushing Angel and it was so good, definitely my favorite. It's also surprisingly kid friendly. Overall just a really enjoyable experience and a great place to spend an afternoon. read more

As a member of Harvest Host we stopped here for 2 days. The parking area accommodated our 44' RV on a sand/gravel lot, with 50amp elect. Melissa hosted our tastings...she was very knowledgeable of the wines and the conversation was entertaining. She's a great face to have in the front! Kelcey was the lucky one who got to serve us! We enjoyed a pizza & hummus as an afternoon snack, with a bottle of wine...delicious!! The 2nd evening we had dinner at the winery's restaurant onsite. Ava was outstanding. The food, (the duck plate & a blue cheese burger) was divine! And our table side flambee' by Ava was spectacular & so decadent! We also had the opportunity to meet Brooke, (the manager on duty) who really displayed complete support for the staff. We loved her energy. Overall, our stay was really relaxing & enjoyable. Thank you girls for working the days we were there! read more

I was in the BCS area for four years during college and somehow never made it out to MH! Fast forward almost 20 years later, I'm glad I was finally able to check this box, it was long overdue.. We ordered a few tastings and ended up getting a bottle of Tempranillo afterward. There's a large variety of wine to choose from, and my favorite of the day was the Tawny Port from the premium tasting (dangerously smooth.) The food was also better than expected. The hot honey flatbread was a big hit at our table, and the charcuterie paired really well with the wines. The amount of food was perfect for sharing and pacing yourself through the tastings. Staff was friendly, attentive, and happy to talk through the wines without being pushy...The whole place has that relaxed Texas country winery vibe, with cozy indoor and a nice patio outside. It was a cold winter night, so we mostly hung out in the tasting room, but next time I'd love to come back to do one of their vineyard tours. Overall, a great wine stop if you're in the Bryan/College Station area or just passing through. read more

Teamwork makes the dream work. Not only did we enjoy the wines, everyone worked to provide us the absolutely best, attentive service. We did the custom wine tasting and had the artichoke dip. Really enjoyed the Mourvèdre. Went home with several bottles. read more

Friends and Family all had an amazing day at the Messiah Hot Winery. Highly recomend the trip but maybe not on a hot Texas, August Day!

What a find! I was looking for a place to have dinner with friends while driving through town. Thanks to our Harvest Host membership, this place came up as a place to stay in our camper for the night. Location is beautiful, but the Vintage House Resturant on site was more than I could have asked for. The food was so amazing we forgot to take photos - but the Pappardelle with Lemon Ricotta sauce was light and perfect and their recommendation to pair it with the Vitality White was on point. The Gorgonzola chicken was moist and some of the best coating I have tasted, and Cavatappi & Cheese with crab added was out of this world! I am going to need to plan more trips through here to try the rest of the menu! The staff - Erin, Kaleigh, and Layana -were attentive, friendly, and great to chat with. If you are anywhere near one of their locations, make it a destination and enjoy! read more

Beautiful, rustic, and full of charm. If you catch it at the right time of year the vineyard is breath taking! Perfect for a relaxed sip-and-stay kind of day. Great wine selection, and the Paulo is absolutely worth the splurge. Ideal for a girls' day, a date... or just treating yourself. read more

I was able to attend the recent spring members bash and it was a fantastic event! All of the staff were so knowledgeable and friendly. The wines were great as always, and the new Sparkling Sagrantino was perfect on a warm spring afternoon! It was nice getting to meet other members and swap local recommendations. The service here was kind of terrible. My friends and i sat on the patio and ordered a flight of wine and we had leave our conversation to walk up patio stairs into the bar and get our wine one by one instead of having it bought out to us. My friend even had to walk up to get her food and carry a large plate back out to us (after 2 glasses of wine). The atmosphere was pretty and the wine was decent but there was zero convince provided, it felt self serve. Maybe it was just a bad day but i don't think we will be returning in the future read more

I came to Messina Hof for my 21st birthday dinner, the ambiance is absolutely stunning with a wonderful view of the vineyard. The service was nice and attentive. The only downside was the food. It was just ok. Our entrees lack flavor and freshness. Just wasn't worth it for the price. The wine is wonderful of course, but maybe just stick to a cheese board and take dinner elsewhere. I also didn't receive and wasn't inquired about dessert, so that was also quite a bummer especially since it was a birthday dinner. read more

Messina Hof now has "satellite" locations in Houston, Grapevine, and Fredericksburg, but the BCS location is the original mother ship, and was one of the earliest wineries in Texas. This is where most, if not all, of MH production takes place. MH is a fun visit, either for one of their events or just a quick tasting. Food is generally good, and it's not hard to fine something to complement a wine tasting. If you're used to visiting, say, a Napa Valley winery -- this is nothing like that. Think blue jeans and Texas casual. In my view, the wines have progressed over the years, specifically in some of the more robust reds that I enjoy -- try some of the Paulo family. read more

Great wine but wish we had skipped the restaurant, had a 45 minute wait for our food restaurant was empty , party of 6. Charged me $24 for a 6 year olds hamburger and fries after they said they would accommodate for a kids meal. My French dip bread was burnt kids pasta with chicken was super dry. Location: Bryan tx Staff: manager was friendly, helpful and did a great tour Price: low-high depending on what item/bottle you pick Seating: outdoor, indoor cute patio area by wine tasting room with lake view It was 5 of us and we opt for the tour, it is one hour long and you get to taste 4 different wines. Price was $25/person. As you arrive, you check in, and after everyone is there and time is set you start your tour with a background regarding family and how it all started. We walked out toward the rose garden, great cute garden perfect for photos and lots of sunlight. We than proceeded to vines, although you do not get to throughly walk through them you do get an idea and a small walk to see grapes. Inside the tasting area, is private only for the group which consisted of @15-20 people. It's a cold room but after a few drinks you definitely need a hand fan. Overall the atmosphere is great, very chill and and relaxed. Restaurant: when we checked online it showed that there was no more seating available. However after we walked towards the restaurant we found out there was plenty of seating available. Everyone was super nice and took the time to explained the menu to us. We were also allowed to bring a cake in as we were celebrating a double birthday. I didn't get to see the villa but look forward to stay there in the future. Reasons for not a 5 star, Once you walked towards the end, there is lots of home which kind of kills the whole relaxed vibe vives. Maybe put up walls with trees to continue the relaxed scene. And scenic views. We will definitely be coming back. read more

We went for a wedding rehearsal dinner. The food was very good. The banquet hall was very spacious. The wines were very good.

My wife and I attended a chef cooking with wine pairing football prep party. The wine and the food were fantastics. Easy to find in Bryan. This was my second visit to the winery and since spring is upon us, the crowd was a great size! I got the tasting and my daughter got a glass of angel late harvest. Also, I joined the wine club for three bottles of white every quarter. Since I just missed the February pick up, they allowed me the option to take February home today or to just wait till the next quarter in May. This February, quarterly wine or all three I had never heard of and I did not taste lso I am excited to try new wines! read more

Cute and quaint. Nice experience but could be better. Made a reservation for midday Friday because we thought it would be crowded but it was slow that day so there was plenty of room to sit where we wanted. The service was decent however, they didn't really seem like experts/knowledgeable about the product. It was my boyfriend's first tasting and we were really excited so we asked questions but the servers didn't sound too confident in their answers. lol We still had a good time and made the most out of it. Altogether the wine was good but food options were very limited during the day so if you're hungry, picky or have dietary restrictions, plan to eat before hand. We ended up buying a bottle for around $20 but later saw the same bottle at HEB for $8.99. Maybe the "complimentary glasses" were included in the price? read more

We went for dinner. Ambiance is ok. Old World-ish. The wine was nice but the food was not all winery level. Both pastas were dry and ribeye was too fatty. Service was fine, not the best, she forgot to replace the potatoes with veggies and forgot the dessert menu. She was very sweet but there were too many tables for her. I would not go back. read more

A bit of a road trip but worth it! Very well landscaped and fits most needs. This vineyard has a restaurant on property, wine bar, gazebo, lodging, and an area for wine tasting. We had Messina charcuterie board and it more than satisfied! read more

I had an absolute amazing experience. We first visited the wine bar. We started with different wines which were all amazing and smooth. It was really busy when we went but that didn't slow anything down. Wait time is minimal. We had dinner reservations and they were prepared for us. Dining area is unique and fancy. I like the wine barrels. Our server was on top of everything. We had such an awesome night. I had duck with asparagus and carrots. The duck was so flavorful. The skin was nice and crisp and seasoned soooo good! The carrots were cooked to perfection not to soft not to hard just perfect! Everything was tender and mouth watering. I plan to go back for my birthday! It will be a great experience for all read more

Wonderful service from manager Madeleine and a delicious new menu at the Vintage House Restaurant. Nice location for this winery. Seating areas overlook a nature trail and pond. Since tastings are a great way to try several varietals, I would recommend doing that. Messina Hof is my go-to winery in the Bryan-College Station area! They have an incredible wine selection and even better service. I've been coming here for many years, and each time is a new experience. Harrison took care of us and gave us really good wine recommendations. He was very knowledgeable and did a great job of explaining the tasting notes for each wine. He also kept our water glasses full as we chose to sit outside in the Texas heat! Did the tour. Learned a great deal about wine production. Had wine flights and charcuterie after the tour. Wonderful!

This place is one of the most scenic shops, venue, restaurant you can get in the college station/ bryan area. The vineyard is beautiful in the harvesting season. I would recommend going in the summer. They have tons of types of wine and delicious food. As a venue for a special event the location and the renting is a reasonable price. They have different options of size of venue rooms. Be aware of the harvesting season because they might not host the event during that season. Also, it was hard to reach the event office for this venue at times or it would take several emails to plan things. Other than that, parking is also great and service is great. read more

3 Bottles for me (okay 4,) what are you drinking? We were unable to attend the Pick Up parties, so we drove up today. The weather is perfect for sitting outside and since we picked up our three bottle selection on our own time, we get a glass of wine for our drive and are enjoying both the weather and the wine. There are plenty of last minute Christmas gifts available for purchase. Try the Texas Country Winter Reserve. After picking up a few, have a much deserved rest at the bar or in the restaurant. A gem in Bryan/College Station area. Great food and they are happy to cater to food restrictions. The ambiance is southern and yet has glimpses of a french chateau. I was genuinely concerned about wine (ok..am a snob given my two hour driving distance to Napa & Sonoma) in Texas. And the low wine prices made me quizzical. But boy was I wrong. The Cabernet Sauvignon was excellent...and the body grew as the wine sat for a little. Highly recommend. read more

My boyfriend surprised me by taking me to this amazing place for our 5th year anniversary. It's a really good place to get away for a short while from the hustle and bustle of life. We stayed for one night which included breakfast and a wine tour. They have a wine bar, restaurant, and the villa where all the rooms are at. The whole place is designed to have a classic feel which was cool and apparently it was designed by architecture students from Texas A&M. This place tries to help out Texas A&M students with their projects as much as they could which I found neat. My boyfriend reserved a chef's table for us for dinner which was a five course dinner and this is where I take off a star because the food was subpar however they gave us a bottle for every course so be prepared to be wined down! Their wines are very strong and just what we needed for the weekend! The room at the villa was clean and the breakfast was okay. The wine tour was insightful. Overall, it was a good experience and I suggest this place to anybody looking for a nearby getaway. read more
