Overpriced for mold smelling room. Other hotel occupants were a very rowdy bunch- lots of unsupervised teen boys roaming the halls and congregating at the elevators. The room has black carpet which hides dirt well. My socks were filthy after walking across the floor. Patrons were getting drunk in the pool- taking their beer glasses into the pool. Pool lounge chairs were badly ripped. The sheep figurines in the halls pose an accessibility hazard more than anything. Hotel guests took advantage to make "installation art" using the sheep, towels and lotion. Very unhappy that my child had to skirt around this display as we were trying to get to our room. I booked this hotel through a third party with a set price. Of course at the hotel they let me know about additional charges they would be adding on to my pre agreed rate. This was a more pricy hotel stay and I'm sorry to say it was money poorly spent. I regret staying at this hotel and do not recommend it.

The George hotel in college station was hosting our Beef Team Retreat. The Texas Flag book wall is an amazing sight when you first walk into the hotel. We checked in for our retreat in the hotel lobby. The hotel is located in an area with lots of retail shops and restaurants. The parking was not ideal and most of the garage spots were filled. The hotel pool is out in the center of a communal area with all the restaurants so not a lot of privacy there. The hotel did an amazing job at hosting our retreat. We used the Statesman room that had many tables and chairs to accommodate our group of 100+. We had breakfast in this area as well as our Roaring 20s evening where I had the best prime rib spread that I had ever experienced. The prime rib was prepared to perfection and served buffet style with au jus and horseradish sauce. There were also fresh veggies served including carrots, green beans and broccoli and they were prepared Al dente style just how I like them. There was a potato bar where you could build your own loaded mashed potatoes. We received 2 drink tickets where we could choose from a variety of beverages including beer, wine or cocktails. I had two pineapple margaritas. There were also many flavors of cupcakes served for dessert. The best part of the hotel were these ceramic sheep decorations that the Beef Team enjoyed posing with and moving them to various locations around the hotel for photo purposes. It made for a good source of entertainment. Overall thought the George Hotel did an excellent job at hosting our Beef Team retreat.

Quirky boutique hotel where my brother was staying for just one night. It's modern and a little fancy. Definitely a step above the usual Hampton or Courtyard. It is not aligned with any of the huge hotel chains. Entrance and registration desk was very difficult to find, both driving around and then on foot. It's here, somewhere! Clean room, really nice shower and a self-service mini bar in the room that was not too expensive at all. Fitness room had enough equipment and a nice view. Other than paying for paying in Century Square, it's a pleasant stop. [Review 843 of 2024 - 598 in Texas - 21873 overall]

Very comfortable hotel. We used it as home base for our 3 days at Round Top. The sheep (IYKYK) are the most fun part whether it started as a branding opportunity or organically they delighted and surprised me everywhere. Valet, Front Desk team, Bar service all outstanding. Bed is very cozy. More hooks and hangers would be nice but that's my only complaint. Fantastic stay.

This is a cool boutique hotel that is splendidly located behind a Taco Locos Fiesta place. We were there during a Hip Hop show. The decor is charming inviting and cowboy rustic! The rooms are really comfortable and inviting. This is such a pleasant and original place.

This hotel is very cool and is in a great little area. The lobby has a rustic feel with many of the interior decorations being leather and raw wood. There are convenient restaurants, shops, and the lobby has an impressively stocked bar. I recommend staying here for an experience that is unique compared to the big chain hotels.

But here's the thing--when something goes wrong at a hotel and they make you a promise to fix it, they should actually fix it. That hasn't been our experience here. In 2023 we had some legitimate issues, such as there was a minibar charge made on our account when we didn't use the minibar, restaurant service that was frustratingly slow, a broken light in our balcony. When I wrote about it, management responded by offering us a free night--in writing, no conditions mentioned. We said 'thanks, we'll take you up on it when we're back in town.' Fast forward to now. Every time we we've tried to use it, something new comes up. The examples below are ones I can document (there were other verbal conversations I can't full reconstruct): * First it was football weekends (which, fair enough--but that was never mentioned when they made the offer) * Then a separate "special event" exclusion got invented when a non-football event came to town for a date we were interested in * Then I picked a date off their own list of available dates offered by one of their managers, and I was told now all the sudden there's actually a two-night minimum--after the had urged me to pick something quickly and I responded the same evening (within 90 minutes) * Then a dinner gift card that was offered in writing got pulled back a week later * Then they asked for a certificate number--there was never any certificate issued; the original offer was just 'let me know and I'll book you in' One of their managers actually admitted in writing that the restrictions were never explained upfront. And still--no confirmed booking as of April 2026. I've got the whole email chain if anyone doubts any of this. I'll update the review if they actually come through. Haven't been able to hold my breath that long yet.

I love how the staff members are students with their name and graduating year. It's a great way to make conversation and for the students and staff to show their professionalism. I highly recommend. Of course, that and anything else Aggie is played way up here at the Texas A&M Hotel. I was in town for a Class of 1980 Reunion and snagged a very reasonable $142 per night group rate. I didn't get the Kyle field view, but on a non-game weekend, so what? I enjoyed my 3 day stay very much. The room was spacious, had nice desk space, plenty of storage, and really comfortable bed that I slept well on, good WIFI, and an excellent shower. I ordered breakfast sandwiches at the cafe on ground floor, checked out the Aggie branded merchandise at their well appointed gift shop, enjoyed a grand happy hour reception at Block T, and felt honored by all the Howdy Hospitality. This Hotel's campus location made walking anywhere very convenient, especially since I didn't rent a car. This place most probably takes on more boisterous energy on game day, and I was happy with the slower pace during my stay. The Texas A&M Hotel would be a definite first choice in some future return trip to Aggieland.
