Great hotel experience and amazing staff! My friends were originally planning to have their wedding at the A&M botanical gardens but then it started pouring rain that morning. The staff at the Stella was so kind and allowed us to use their speakeasy bar for the ceremony and it couldn't have been more perfect! Dawn was an incredible help and coordinated everything that morning. She also made sure people didn't walk in during the ceremony. Pam was just a blessing helping do everything at the last minute like setting up the Bluetooth music, pinning the boutonnière on the groom and even fixing peoples hair unprompted. She knew exactly what we needed even when we didn't. Truly exceptional! We also stayed at the hotel and had a problem-free time. We ate breakfast at the restaurant and it was good. They also have a beautiful waterfront to sit or play in front of. Highly recommend The Stella! read more

One of the newer hotels here and quite the property. I did a stay here for a trio of nights in late March and I'm quite impressed with the layout, amenities, and cleanliness. Rooms are spacious and large with a comfortable bed. The bathroom is large although I found the shower a bit odd as there is no floor spacing with the shower area as there is no separation from the drain. So if you shower, have the curtain up and hope that the water doesn't accumulate. The exercise room is pretty big with complimentary towels and water bottles although the exercise machines are right in front of the windows so the sun may shine on you as you're trying to attack the treadmill. The pool area is spacious with plenty of lounge seats. There's also cornhole in the massive yard next to the lobby; a nice touch. Parking is complimentary with valet parking available. There's a few shops/restaurants nearby that you can dine at if you don't want to venture further out in the Bryan/College Station area. I'd be open to staying here again as this was one of the more impressive Marriott properties I've encountered. read more

The Stella is such a lovely property right outside of College Station. College Station is so super close, but it's a totally different vibe here. I prefer this vibe. I absolutely LOVE their lush robes. They are unique too not the same traditional white robes you see at other hotels. The rooms are spacious, chic, clean, 2 complimentary Evian water bottles(more if you request) and a lovely Nespresso machine. Free parking. I slept like a baby in their comfy bed. The staff is helpful and courteous. There is a lovely bar right next to the lobby and plenty of grounds to take a jog, play some corn hole or just enjoy the views. Really pristine and wonderful area to stay. read more

In all truthfulness, I rather like this hotel, so giving only three stars is something I'd rather not do, but given my issues are (and should be) easily resolved, I'm okay with the lesser rating, considering management is most likely aware of the issues already, yet fails to act. Funeral homes have warmer and more welcoming front desk staff. The staff at the Stella will certainly greet you, but that's the end of the pleasantries. There's no attentive smile, no interest, and zero feeling of welcomeness. I've traveled for work for over two decades now, and checking in here is, quite simply, uncomfortable. The shower head needs updating. The existing ones leak and are corroded to the point that water just kind of sprays in your vicinity, and showering, instead of being a morning pick-me-up, is a struggle. In-room refrigerators need to actually work. I'm not paying $300 a night for tepid beverages. Aside from that, it's a pleasant stay. The suite is comfortable, with a 5-star bathtub, and in-room coffee service is quality. read more

Here's the deal, nice grounds, beautifully appointed hotel. However, call me crazy, I think at that price you shouldn't have ripped sheets? It was handy for our work function, but I would not pay that much for that in the future. Furniture in the rooms was not functional and uncomfortable. One of those "on a fast horse, it looks pretty", but when you really start looking at things...there are lots of things that just don't function well. And seriously...ripped sheets!?! Modern and spacious the Texas way this hotel is an ideal luxurious place for your visits at Texas A&M. Visiting the school as my son was accepted as a freshman at the Bush School of Government and Public service. The hotel is modern with a classic cowboy vibe. We do love the Howdy ways! The housekeeper woke us up at 8am which was not cool as we were talking until 2am! Otherwise our bedroom is spacious and we appreciate the access to the lake is great! read more

First time staying here and definitely not my last. I frequent the BCS area and this hotel is definitely my new favorite. It's a Marriott property so if you're a member, be sure to get your points in. Outdoor area is very inviting with nice walking trails. Rooms are large and very clean. Didn't get to try the bar and restaurant but it was packed when we checked in. Front desk was friendly and courteous. Plenty of parking space in front and back. Close to TAMU! I stayed at The Stella for a wedding weekend in May 2021. My roomie and I were woken up at 5 in the morning to the fire alarm going off. We called the front desk at 513. It's still blinking and going off at 532. Called again at 535, was still on at 541, and then at 547 turned completely off. We had to wake up early just for wedding prep to start and had the worst morning due to this fire alarm and the rude front desk lady who hung up on me after my second call. Our previous/first day here was already off to a weird start when we checked in and opened the door to our room to find the windows completely open (so creepy). We had to call for someone to come close them since we tried and couldn't. My roomie blessedly could sleep like the dead but I cannot. We didn't receive any kind of compensation for our terrible visit. Can't believe this hotel is ranked so highly in TX. read more

The hotel and they confirmed that they had Tesla chargers in their parking lot. We paid for a $670 room (which was about the most expensive room in the area) just for that convenience. Unfortunately, the valets did not know how to use the chargers. No problem, I could park and charge myself. But all the chargers (non-Tesla) required scanning in a bar code located on a sticker on the charger. Over half the stickers were removed and one had an unrecognized code making them useless. The few chargers that were working were taken so we ended up having to go to HEB in the middle of the night to charge (and 100% of their chargers were working). I'm sure it is possible just from revenue numbers to identify when a charger is broken or the sticker is removed since the revenue from that charger is $0 but no one there is paying attention. In the end, we payed hundreds of dollars extra for nothing :( We reported this to the hotel people but they never responded. read more

Lots to like about this property... and a handful of misses. First the pros: 1) Being newish, the hotel looks and smells fresh. The decor uses the beauty and warmth of woods to lend a hint of rustic amidst artsy, modern elements, and it works. 2) My room is incredibly spacious, and I love that there are hard floors and two large windows that fill the room with lots of natural light, which is a must for me. 3) Bed bed is HEAVENLY, and the linens are smooth and luxurious, and the towels as soft and fluffy. 4) The restaurant, Campfire, is excellent! Delicious food and great service. 5) They have an excellent whiskey lounge called Hershel's bar, which is such a cool place to hang out, with a very nice selection (I had the Macallan 18.) 6) Erika did a GREAT job of arranging the conference room for my group. It was absolutely perfect, and the food and drinks were excellent! Thank you, Erika! Now the misses: 1) unfortunately the front desk was notably cold... certainly not welcoming, which is what I'm used to. I typically stay R upscale properties, and I guess this doesn't rank up there with the usual luxury place I visit, but a genuine smile could rectify this. I encountered 4 different members of the front desk, and none were particularly friendly. 2) The first thing I noticed when I walked in the room was the enormous tear in the center of the sheer drape on one of the windows. I went back to my car to grab something, and when I returned a maintenance person was in my room (scared the crap out me,) and he was removing the torn drape. No one mentioned this when I checked in. And he didn't replace the sheer. 2) The cups/glasses were not clean. I actually bought a small bottle of dish soap and washed everything before I using. 3) All of 6 the coffee pods provided are decaf. Would I stay here again? Because of that dreamy bed and the beautiful design choices, absolutely. read more

The desk staff was professional and quick with check in. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. There is a bar and restaurant available for cocktails/meals and a coffee shop on property too; We prefer to visit local businesses when we travel but it is always nice to have available! Let's talk towels though for a moment... the bath towels were the big ones and soft! That is not something you get often at hotels and it is worth mentioning! Rooms are pretty standard and room service is in a bag but the property is beautiful and the view from my room is amazing. If I was staying for a couple of days, I would definitely walk along that lake! It's about a 9 min drive to Kyle Field so pretty close to everything. I would stay here again for sure. My husband and I stayed here 3 nights in May with a special VIP package for a music festival. The room was nice and comfortable with excellent blackout curtains. Service was poor, however. 1) I called the front desk at 10 pm our first night to confirm we could not get Netflix on our room TV. The front desk staff said we could get it and they would send an engineer to our room right away to show us how. No one showed up. The next morning I told the front desk staff what happened and was again told we could get Netflix, and he would come to our room in a few minutes to show us how. He never showed up, either. An hour later I asked another front desk staff who said Netflix was not available at all. Wish we'd been told that when I originally asked. 2) The restaurant server was attentive at breakfast, but my bacon was cold on arrival and my granola and yogurt dish was missing the granola entirely. After waiting more than 10 minutes I had to go find our server to get the granola. 3) We had a $25 food and beverage credit with our VIP package. At checkout I asked the front desk staff to confirm the $25 credit was applied on my bill for the breakfast charge. He said it was, but when I received my email receipt the credit had not been applied. Now I have to follow up on this, too. read more

Just had a four day stay and rooms are dated and need upgrades. Internet was in and out repeatedly the entire stay. They don't offer an option to put in your name and room number and hold internet without doing it over and over. Easter brunch was tremendous probably thanks to their new executive chef. Thermostats are tricky and we had to have engineering to our room and he said he gets calls regularly. Room water is horrible so bring your own drinking water. Front desk staff very nice. I have stayed at the Stalla several times now. Always A+++ this time they were even able to upgrade me to a suite. The experience was amazing as always. I loved the tub in the suite and the robe. This hotel is just up the road from my work and some days I need a "stay-cation" this place goes above and beyond. I can't wait for it to warm up a little more so I can visit the pool, for now sitting beside it is great to get my mind off of the day. I love the restaurant and coffee shop on site. The park out front is also amazing, great for a walk or run. I can't say enough good things about the property or the service. I highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting from out of town. It is also very close to the airport and just far enough from campus you are not overrun by students. If you are considering a stay here, don't think twice! You will love it. read more

Just close enough and far enough to be a quiet trip.good restaurant, main desk, and hotel staff by and large helpful. If I have a beef, it the Marriott room amenities that I scratch my head over. This hotel is located towards the outer end of college station , and it's pretty easy to miss if you don't know what you're looking for . It's a very large modern building , with a man made water sight behind , along with some towers , a golf course , and some new construction around. When you get inside you're welcomed with a super comfy atmosphere , lots of cute decorations around , and again a super modern feel. There is a little restaurant located to the left right as you walk in ( which we ate at and had an insanely good breakfast.) To your right is a nice large reading/ coffee room that is also immaculately decorated . Although we didn't actually stay here ( just came for breakfast , and had some friends staying ) the overall feel of the place was amazing , and I would most definitely recommend it as the most up-to-date, well serviced hotel in college station. read more

We were visiting Santa's Wonderland in College Station. We picked "The Stella Hotel" for our overnight stay and didn't know what to expect. This place definitely gets Five Stars for service and ambiance. The moment we walked in the door we were greeted with smiling faces, not behind a traditional check-in desk, but rather a person with a iPad out in the open. It was like visiting someone's house instead of checking into a hotel. Clever!! I love it!! I have to admit I was caught off guard with this style of check-in but at the same time I really like the concept. Check-in was 4pm and check out was noon. That's so generous. Then we explored the property. Everything was well planned, staged and the decor is absolutely comfortable and classy. I'd call it traditional contemporary. The pictures I'm posting says it all. Don't know about you, but first thing in the morning I want coffee. I knew there weren't coffee pots in the room and I knew I didn't want room service. So FYI there is a small quaint coffee shop attached to The Stella Hotel called POV. They have a few quick breakfast options and a large selection of hot and cold coffee drinks. We plan to visit again for other events and we will be staying at The Stella Hotel. I want to stay long enough next time and take advantage of the free bikes and ride around the lake. read more

Visited this hotel for one night in February for a charity event. The room was enormous - extremely spacious. Bed was super comfy. Took a lovely bath in the gigantic tub. I wish I'd known there were lake view rooms- they should have asked at check out if I wanted one - I would have taken it. Maybe they're sold out. The food at the event was buffet, and for a buffet, it was pretty good food. The bar after the event was hoppin. The service, from check in to check out was great. My only other feedback is that the floor of my room, such pretty wood tile, was SO sticky from some kind of very pungent cleaner or polisher. read more

My family has made this our go-to hotel in College Station for about the last year and we have always enjoyed staying there. It's the best hotel in the area, rivaled only by the Hotel on campus across from Kyle Field, The Stella is better though. Service is first class, and the meals we've had in the restaurant have been splendid. My son graduated from Texas A&M last week and The Stella helped make it a memorable and perfect experience. We've enjoyed the Stella for years, as it's been one of our little getaway spots. We just stayed again on Friday, July the 19th and began to notice our room was in a little need of refresh. Paint on doors and walls, furniture, etc. has not been refreshed as one would expect. The worst part was the bed had a large sunken area on my side that was extremely uncomfortable throughout the night. No one likes a back ache the next day from a lousy bed. Properties require capital improvement to stay viable. It appears the staff at the Stella have become unaware of what allows them to carry the Marriott name. We will go back, but if this experience is the norm, we will migrate onto nicer properties. Please wake up, Stella! Thank you:) read more

This place is first class everything. Has great ambiance from the hotel front desk and all throughout the property both inside and out. The fitness center over looks the lake in the back. Plenty of outside seating and shops around to hang out. The rooms have a modern but fashionable sense to them. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Bryan, TX. read more

Stayed here 2 nights this past week and I can't recommend it more highly. Everything was perfect-- from the furnishings throughout the hotel, the quality of our linens, the hotel restaurants, room rates. All of the people working throughout were polite, kind and wanted to help make our stay as wonderful as possible. We ate 2 meals at Campfire and had coffees at POV. Pets everywhere with their owners which made my heart sing. The hotel sits on hundreds of acres with a lake and miles of walking paths. You feel like you're miles from town when in actuality University Drive is just a a couple miles away. I will be staying at The Stella whenever I need to be in or near Bryan-College Station. Finally a boutique style hotel in BCS with a non college kid crowd! Thoroughly enjoyable for parents of college students!! Removed from campus but near by and relaxing with beautiful views! I've found my new regular hotel! The on site restaurant "Campfire" is a perfect addition with a fantastic wine selection,gourmet food and knowledgeable staff. I ordered devil eggs as an appetizer which came covered in smoked salmon. For an entree I ordered the gulf snapper which was truly amazing and beautifully tender as per the suggestion from our server. Cocktails were poured to perfection! A must try for desert is the campfire s'mores! Divine! I definitely look forward to dining again! My room was located on the 3rd floor with a view of the lake and a gorgeous sunset. Super comfy bed! A small room comfortable for one. Sliding barn doors for the contemporary bathroom with spacious shower complete with comfy robes. Easy check in process with helpful staff eager to please. The hotel staff was EXTREMELY AMAZING!! SUPER HELPFUL, VERY FRIENDLY!! However, our room was dirty when we walked in. The table wasn't cleaned and had food crumbs all over it. The bathroom wasn't clean, there was hair all over the shower and the mirrors looked like they haven't been clean in like a week. The bed smelled like used linen (not fresh). The couch that was in the sitting room felt like we were sitting on burlap, it was exceedingly itchy, very uncomfortable, and it had a huge dip in the seating. Not a pleasant stay for us. read more

I will said without a doubt that I am a loyal Marriott man. I enjoy Marriott hotels and resorts around the world unless there is a specific reason not to. I was surprised to hear that this hotel resort just joined the Marriott family 4 months ago. They are indeed a Marriott hotel with their actions and words. Marti and Allie checked us in at the Front desk. Allie said my first name correctly which intrigued me. Marti made me feel at home with announcing my status as a Platimun Elite soon to be a Titanium Elite before this year ends. Both made me feel like I was truly at a Marriott property. They have a wonderful landscape of plants, pools, lawn space with a fireplace and games. They have a wine bar and restaurant on property as well. You can enjoy room service also. Though they don't have a concierge club lounge(only because they were not Marriott bulit) and a spa lounge, they are in every other way a Marriott hotel. I will definitely be staying here again and highly recommend that you do as well. They haf a private event and conference occurring during our stay. They are great for businesses, events, and special occasions. They are abit pricey being a Marriott Elite property, but worth every penny spent. They also have a coffee shop to enjoy and I suggest ordering "the hippie". ENJOY! read more

Our server, Ian, was the absolute man. My friends and I (12 or us) were seated quickly and promptly served. Ian was SO friendly and fun with our group. All 12 of us got separate checks and he was so quick to get them out. My friend ordered a coffee and Ian literally ran across the building outside to get vanilla for her coffee (it's 32 degrees outside). To say he has gone above and beyond for our party would be an understatement. Ian killed it today and his boss should be proud that he hired him. Ian is a great representation for the hotel and the Stella brand in general. read more

Just stayed there while dropping off our daughter at A&M. Very nice hotel, clean, and worth the money for a non-game weekend. ($750/night for Auburn seems a wee bit high). Appetizers were fantastic--recommend the loaded tots and bacon and crab cheese dip. Restaurant was excellent as well, with accommodating staff. Room was perfect--clean, fresh, well adorned. Only two minor issues. It would be nice to have a couple bottles of water in the room for guests. Our son went looking for water last night and when he went to the bar he was told they were closed. He turned to mention it to someone else and the bartender told him "I said we are closed". Unnecessary. I get that he was tired, but the boy wasn't looking for a beer, he was looking for water. Anyway, we'll be in the area for the next four years or so--I'm sure we will stay again--just not on a game night. read more
