So my daughter was getting married in Bryan, TX this weekend and so back in October I found The LaSalle Hotel online. Now I am not one to go strictly based off reviews because had I done that, I would have lost out on a great stay! Let's just back up to earlier this week when I called and asked to assign 2 of the 3 King suites I had reserved to particular people. That was so easy to do! The hotel is located in a wonderful part of town with a great low key vibe small & quaint. When I pulled up there was ample street parking with very close proximity to the hotel which was a plus especially when carrying 3 bags plus a dog leash with you guessed it, a dog (Beagle) on the other end pulling me where he wants to go lol. When I checked in Friday late night (after the rehearsal) I double checked all three rooms & names which were just like I arranged days earlier so no changes needed thankfully. I noticed they have a great very quaint bar right off of the lobby which is pet friendly as well and is a HUGE BONUS for pet owners . I load up in the elevator & get to my King Suite, open the door and was in love. It was perfect! It has a room with a queen bed completely separate from the main area that has the king bed. Great size all around & wonderfully decorated & of course has a mini fridge, microwave, etc...I will definitely stay here every time I need to stay the night or recommend The LaSalle. I did read where folks were disappointed with the train line that runs right next to the hotel BUT my room was on a corner upstairs (4th Floor) and it was not enough to annoy or upset me as it did other reviewers. They did tell me when I checked in about the train but trains passing isn't enough to warrant me changing hotels so it was all okay with me. We had about 7 different family/friends staying here and they all had zero complaints. I've included some pictures I took but really if you're looking for quaint, great location, great prices & a great place to stay, I would recommend The LaSalle. Now I will tell you I knew they had a Speak Easy in the basement but I did not make it because the rehearsal & wedding both ran so late & I was zapped of energy. But I have friends who attended A&M who all said I had to go... maybe next time I also included a pic of the small counter cafe directly across the street. We had our dog and had to eat outside because they are only Service Dog friendly which is fine. Food was good. I think it was called 3rd on Main...
