This historic venue deserves better historic interior decor. I recognize the current owners didn't make the renovations to the space, but as a single screen venue...it should feel special, distinct and one-of-a-kind experience from front door to lobby to theatre. It doesn't. 2.) The online website and programming of what's on screen is not extra special. First run films are better left to the cineplexes. This space would suit a well-curated art house, classic cinema, and rarely seen films for a large swath of audiences in the Brazos Valley. I live right around the corner and the 50th Anniversary screening of Bruce Lee's Enter the Dragon was the first film since their launch (in current iteration)...it was fun to experience on a large screen. 3.) What is unclear from the online presence is that food can be served to your seat. I looked extensively in the sight but this was not evident to me until we arrived. The menu is very pedestrian, burgers, greasy fries and more fried things, and standard salads. Again, nothing special or unique. 4.). Why are tickets for future screenings unavailable since they are already advertised? Also, there was a lot of noise in the lobby during the film and the house lights did not come up after the film concluded. I WANT to support a local one-screen experience Downtown, but how I miss the reopening days of this place when it was diversely curated and a human being sat in the ticket booth to welcome you into the Experience of The Queen. Her uniqueness is not being capitalized upon, regrettably.

When we travel we like to do more local cuisines because why go to a place you can get back home?…read moreMy kids opted for Olive Garden but seeing the reviews and wanting to support local small businesses, I decided to come here. The restaurant is nestled downtown College Station where you can walk up and down the Main with cute lights when it's night and some entertainment down the road. The restaurant is on the corner and the inside was very clean and you can tell it has some history. A person, who I believe was the owner, greeted us and sat us down right away. The vibe is fairly quaint and the ambiance is dark but chill. The menu is minimal but I love that there aren't 100s of options. We were greeted by a very nice server who offered fresh baked bread. While I live for fresh baked bread, this tasted old and stale. It didn't taste fresh but almost as though it had been sitting out for some as it was dry and super chewy. What we ordered: - the lobster w/lobster and added shrimp: pasta was perfectly cooked But the sauce was missing one crucial ingredient....salt!! My son, who is 12, also noted it was very bland and lacked any seasoning! He put salt and pepper and said it was much better but needed a lot of help! The lobster and shrimp were a bit over cooked as well, it was slightly rubbery. - the lobster (substitute lobster for chicken): the same review as the dish above, but the chicken was a bit dry and over cooked. - mozzarella garlic bread: this was the highlight of the meal! Very stringy like they used fresh mozzarella and garlicky just like we like it with marinara sauce! - calamari: one of my son's favorites but he noted they seemed frozen and not fresh! He couldn't eat it because the calamari was very tough and chewy! It was a major let down! While I appreciate the concept, and maybe it was an off day when we went, we'd think twice about going there again! The service was impeccable but the food is why I have it a 3. (Please note we ate here in April 2025)

I remember having my Senior prom, and my graduation party in the outdoor pavilion here back in??? I have had many dancing nights here, some of them intoxicating weddings, quinceaneras, JL's Bargin Blitz, and etc.. Brazos Center was the place rent for events big or small. Recently I went to my cousin's quinceanera at the Brazos Center. I was surprised to see that the place is as I remember it; in tact and nice. A little out of date, but it was not run down. The ball room area is perfect for that time when the DJ plays some MJ and all the older people like me get on the dance floor to embarrass or hurt themselves. The Brazos Center has 4 different assembly rooms 1 with a stage perfect weddings or parties. It also has 3 other rooms available for meetings and lecture type events. Whatever the occasion The Brazos Center has a room for it. I recommend the Brazos Center for you events. I gave The Brazos Center five 5 stars; book your event today.

This was not just another overnight stay--it was a true experience. From the moment you walk in, every room feels absolutely perfect and instantly relaxing. Denise and Bob, the wonderful couple who own the B&B, are the best kind of people--warm, welcoming, and genuinely kind. Their hospitality alone makes this place special. The beauty and exquisite attention to detail throughout the entire mansion and its grounds transports you straight back to the Victorian era. The balance of femininity and masculinity in the design is spot-on--elegant, refined, and incredibly comfortable. Our room was spacious and peaceful. The bed was very comfortable, and the claw-foot tub in the bathroom was fantastic--a highlight of the stay. Breakfast was outstanding. We enjoyed coffee and orange juice, followed by a parfait made with fresh berries from the garden, topped with vanilla Greek yogurt and granola. The main course was a creative twist on quiche with eggs, spinach, and cherry tomatoes from the garden, paired with potatoes and flavorful venison sausage. Everything was perfectly seasoned and absolutely delicious. Milton Parker B&B exceeded every expectation. If you're looking for something truly special, this is the place. We can't wait to return.
