We had paid in full by March '23. By the beginning of May we had not heard from anyone from The Barn. The bartender had forgotten our reservation and Stephanie had never called us in the months leading up to the wedding. We paid $4250 for our 6 hr reception AND we had to clean up afterwards! Stephanie yelled at me after I asked her what kind of a sh&t show was going on! She does not answer her phone and provided zero direction in our planning process. It took nearly 2 months after our wedding to receive our deposit and overpayment because it got "lost in the mail". Look elsewhere, brides. Much better deals and less heartburn at other venues!

Downloading a good playlist before you go, so you can link to the Bluetooth speaker and have a personalized soundtrack 2. Wearing long sleeves! They don't require long sleeves, but I was regretting not bringing a long sleeved shirt. 3. Hydrating beforehand! This is an *exhausting* experience (if you really go for it), and I left feeling thirsty and tired. I highly recommend this experience- its a bit pricey for what it is, but it includes paying the workers to clean up all of the mess that you make, so it's not bad. We're thinking about doing this about once a month- it's so satisfying, especially if you've been going through it recently. My only other qualm was the consent/release for photography and videos. You have to sign the release as part of the safety waiver, despite the service/venue being commonly used as a therapeutic experience after trauma or loss. This just didn't sit right with me, because that's why we came as well, and I didn't really want any of that to be used for advertising or published in any way. The employee seemed kind and understanding when we said that we didn't want to be filmed, so that was nice at least. Just know that they might take photos/videos for their Facebook and Instagram. Overall a good experience. We will be back.

The intimate, charming setting highlighted the beautiful architecture of this amazing 3-4 story building renovated by a very gifted family that has taken great pride to preserve the beautiful venue! The two buildings work together to seamlessly move guest from the wedding to the reception! It was outstanding! I hope that someday I'll have an opportunity to host my guest in this amazing center located in our beautiful downtown Navasota!

Chris was so very good at communicating with me. The room was very clean. Plenty of hot water. Every detail was thought of; shower gel, shampoo, ear plugs, small bottle of water and chocolates. I have to be honest, we didn't do a taste sampling (although it was offered to us), and I wasn't expecting anything great. However, when we finally got the eat the meal on our wedding day, it was phenomenal. I truly believe it was the best lasagna I have ever eaten (don't tell my mom that!). It was easily my favorite part of the meal. My very close second favorite part of the meal was the salad. MMM! Fresh, and just an overall tasty dish. The Astin also supplied our cakes. In our package we didn't get to choose anything that had to do with the cakes (which may be a negative for some people, but we were actually pretty glad it was done for us). The cakes were delicious. Soft cake and creamy icing on the brides cake and grooms cake. Chris, the florist, did a great job with all of the arrangements, too. I had a bouquet of blue hydrangeas for a 4 o'clock wedding. I got my bouquet at 3 o'clock and even in the harsh sun, they never wilted. Around 5 pm, I stuck them in some water and they were still beautiful when we left for our honeymoon the next day. Overall, if we had to do it again, we would choose the Astin every time.

I'd like to say there's only a couple of things that need attention, it's everything, tee boxes, fairways, greens, and tree roots. COME ON MAN! Maybe some topsoil, grass, and water would help. They should all travel to Waco to see Cottonwood Creek and see what a municipal golf course should look like. You should be ashamed of yourself for presenting this to the public as a golf course. Please sell to someone who will do a better job making this place more appealing to your tax paying public and the people who come to play from out of town. Maybe you could try to catch up to the awesome restaurant next door.
