Only negative, half the elevators were out of service (ok, they only have two elevators, and one was broke). Caused quite a bottle neck for the weekend, staff was apologetic, but it stayed out of service for the visit. Not much fun being on the 6th floor, as the elevator would stop at every single floor going and coming. Finally just walked up/down all the stairs, faster than waiting.

Our family has recently started staying at Drury hotels within the last year or so, mainly in San…read moreAntonio, TX. We were so excited to discover that Drury just opened a BRAND NEW hotel in College Station. (Opened January 2025). JUST WOW! We absolutely, positively, tremendously LOVED our stay in this beautiful hotel. Let's start off with the aesthetics. Gorgeous! Clean, crisp, modern. Timeless finishes. We got a King suite which had a separate bedroom/living area with pull out couch. HUGE walk in shower - love that the shower valve/handle wasn't under the shower head. Smart design put it on the wall so you don't have to get wet turning on the water. Floor to ceiling windows in the bedroom. Ulta comfy bed and pillows. Dining area with plenty of seating. Lobby/lounge with comfortable seating areas. Our kids LOVED the indoor pool and hot tub. My husband and I relaxed on oversized lounge chairs. Area a bit echoey but to be expected in an indoor pool. We did not use the fitness room but it looked equipped with plenty of cardio equipment and weights. The food options here were superb. We love the 5:30 kickback with rotating options. On the Saturday we stayed, we enjoyed pulled pork, coleslaw, baked beans, chili, hotdogs, nachos and tossed salad. The breakfast was equally as delectable with eggs, sausage, biscuits, potatoes and homemade waffles. The only disappointment is Drury's coffee. After staying at numerous Drury hotels, I am always left unsatisfied with the coffee. To me, it tastes like someone brewed an ashtray. It must just be the brand they use. Ah well, I'll take the wonderful hotel over having coffee any day. Now for the staff. Amazing. My husband checked us in and commented how nice the girl at the desk was. I checked us out and the gentleman at the desk was so polite and personable with a smile that was ear to ear. I wish I got his name to give him a shout out. But the staff kindness didn't stop at the front desk. Our child threw up in the middle of the night and unfortunately it was on the room carpet. I cleaned it the best I could at midnight. When I informed a housekeeper in the hallway, she was so kind and understanding and never once made me feel bad about the accident. It really meant a lot to me that she didn't make me feel ashamed over it. All in all, this was probably one of, if not THE best hotel I have ever stayed at. We can't wait to come back again!

We walked in to great music on the CD player and were blown away with the basket of goodies. This place has the best scones and jalapeño muffins I have ever had. The fridge was stacked with drinks and snacks as well. We took a little walk everyday around the property and found all kinds of cute little trails and touches every time we explored. The staff is friendly and nice. They communicate through text and are there with nothing you need. They leave you alone unless you need something so you can keep your privacy and romance at it's highest. We definitely want to go back and stay in every cabin at least once.

The room smelled like a Once Upon A Child resale store- heavily perfumed over unclean. Stains everywhere, black couch covered in stains, gummy carpet. Black mold coming out of the ac vents. The bed linens had male hairs in the sheets and red stains on the comforter. There was also a red fluid spattered on one wall. The woman at the front desk was nice and moved me to another room but the lack of basic cleanliness still applied. Also a giant iron bed frame a foot taller than me was leaning at a precarious angle over the head of the bed because the screws were stripped and since I didn't want to be crushed to death, murdered or contract some disease I immediately left and cancelled my reservation. The Wyndham Garden on Texas Ave is AMAZING. Stay there instead.

Of course, that and anything else Aggie is played way up here at the Texas A&M Hotel. I was in town for a Class of 1980 Reunion and snagged a very reasonable $142 per night group rate. I didn't get the Kyle field view, but on a non-game weekend, so what? I enjoyed my 3 day stay very much. The room was spacious, had nice desk space, plenty of storage, and really comfortable bed that I slept well on, good WIFI, and an excellent shower. I ordered breakfast sandwiches at the cafe on ground floor, checked out the Aggie branded merchandise at their well appointed gift shop, enjoyed a grand happy hour reception at Block T, and felt honored by all the Howdy Hospitality. This Hotel's campus location made walking anywhere very convenient, especially since I didn't rent a car. This place most probably takes on more boisterous energy on game day, and I was happy with the slower pace during my stay. The Texas A&M Hotel would be a definite first choice in some future return trip to Aggieland.
