We walked in to great music on the CD player and were blown away with the basket of goodies. This place has the best scones and jalapeño muffins I have ever had. The fridge was stacked with drinks and snacks as well. We took a little walk everyday around the property and found all kinds of cute little trails and touches every time we explored. The staff is friendly and nice. They communicate through text and are there with nothing you need. They leave you alone unless you need something so you can keep your privacy and romance at it's highest. We definitely want to go back and stay in every cabin at least once.

Of course, that and anything else Aggie is played way up here at the Texas A&M Hotel. I was in town for a Class of 1980 Reunion and snagged a very reasonable $142 per night group rate. I didn't get the Kyle field view, but on a non-game weekend, so what? I enjoyed my 3 day stay very much. The room was spacious, had nice desk space, plenty of storage, and really comfortable bed that I slept well on, good WIFI, and an excellent shower. I ordered breakfast sandwiches at the cafe on ground floor, checked out the Aggie branded merchandise at their well appointed gift shop, enjoyed a grand happy hour reception at Block T, and felt honored by all the Howdy Hospitality. This Hotel's campus location made walking anywhere very convenient, especially since I didn't rent a car. This place most probably takes on more boisterous energy on game day, and I was happy with the slower pace during my stay. The Texas A&M Hotel would be a definite first choice in some future return trip to Aggieland.

The park is clean and very well kept. Bathrooms and showers are spotless and well stocked. There is a nice lounge with TVs and sofas connected to the office. There's also a small store with a few supplies. In the middle area, there's a nice shower house with laundry, workout room and a small are to play games or do puzzles. Our two favorite things at this park are the swimming pool/hot tub and the huge dog runs. The park is gated, has daily trash pick up and is close to just about everything in BCS.

The room smelled like a Once Upon A Child resale store- heavily perfumed over unclean. Stains everywhere, black couch covered in stains, gummy carpet. Black mold coming out of the ac vents. The bed linens had male hairs in the sheets and red stains on the comforter. There was also a red fluid spattered on one wall. The woman at the front desk was nice and moved me to another room but the lack of basic cleanliness still applied. Also a giant iron bed frame a foot taller than me was leaning at a precarious angle over the head of the bed because the screws were stripped and since I didn't want to be crushed to death, murdered or contract some disease I immediately left and cancelled my reservation. The Wyndham Garden on Texas Ave is AMAZING. Stay there instead.
