Bacon, hash browns, & biscuits with gravy
Mallori B.

Wow! Homemade biscuits that would make any southern woman proud! I love that she puts the gravy on the side so you don't make a mess or they get soggy. Bacon was perfectly crispy without being burnt. Fresh grated hash browns with just the perfect mixture of crisp pieces with fluffy shreds. FANTASTIC FRESH salads!! I adore the chicken & strawberry salad! She give you plenty of And customer service to boot!

The Hunter Sandwich

God, Conservatives, and Great Food. Life is good. Had the Hunter Sandwich for lunch. Venison sausage with mushrooms, jalapeños, and cheese. Yum Yum! Open carry encouraged. Great pies, cookies, and muffins. Just like Oma's. Great atmosphere and staff.

Their Lunch Special Hamburger Steak with Mashed Potatoes and Corn and a Salad for 10.00 a good Deal

Closed. Sign removed. Found this on Yelp as "open now"...but alas it is gone. Fortunately nearby The Rodney was open and worth a stop.

Amazing find! Biscuits were incredible! Like the decor. Off the beaten path, but worth the trip.

The food and staff were amazing! So glad we found this little spot. We had a hamburger and French dip. I definitely would recommend both.

Nice people and great food. If you are on your way to College Station, it's definitely worth the stop in Caldwell.

Go somewhere else! Service was terrible, wait staff was rude and we waited over an hour for a mediocre breakfast. Not worth it!

French Toast is amazing. Lunch and breakfast spot only. Friendly staff. Gluten free alternatives on the money. Special kids/small menu.

Very welcoming and passionate. OMG!! This woman can…read moreCOOOOOOOOOK!! She's very personable and you really just want to give her a hug and chat it up like home girls. The process was super simple. I found her on yelp. She hit me back probably w/in 15-20 minutes. I wanted a nice meal made for my wedding anniversary. Year 11 married for Hubby and I. I knew I wanted steak and potatoes. She came up w/the chimmichurri (which I knew I loved), zuppa tuscana and infused strawberry shortcake. She and her assistant/sous chef came over a little bit early (I was a little late ) and she was just awesome! Very warm, personable and knows what she's doing. They were ein my kitchen working their magic and the smell of mouth watering food filled the house. The soup was done first. Hubby basically melted into the chair after his first bite. Seriously! It was flavorful and light abs presented in a very simple but comfort food way. 10 out of 10! A bit later the steak, loaded potato abs brussel sprouts came out. BOOM!! Looked good as f*ck and tasted out of this world! The steak was seasoned well w/out being salty or over done. There was a slight non spicy zing from the chimichurri. Also need to note the chimmichurri tasted so fresh, and flavorful I wanted to eat just the chimnichurri w/a spoon or slather it on EVERYTHING!! I definitely ate at least have of my brussel sprouts w/this magical, fresh, herby sauce.... because it was that damn good! Eating this had me thinking up schemes... ahem plans to get Layha to stay and cook more... or everything . I can and end very much enjoy cooking... but now I feel like I can't go back to my own cooking (woman womp). Oh well. I already booked Chef Layha for New Year, my birthday and Mother's day before the meal was completed. She also made these cute and small bourbon infused strawberry shortcakes. Real strawberries. Simple delicious, and juicy flavor. NOT SOGGY at all. Not overly sweet. Flippin awesome ! She also made some rotelle nachos for my kiddos when they get out of school later. I'll be tasting that very soon. Probably right after I hit the post button . Either way Chef Layha has some real talent. She made my day as well as my husband's. Her food was impeccable. She cleaned up my kitchen after the meal and there's plenty extra food. We're going to enjoy this food the rest of this weekend. For real!! I'm so looking forward to our next meal(s) from her. I hope others catch on to her talent... but a tiny selfish side of me is hoping I get to keep her to myself. Sorry not sorry

Layha was kind enough to cook and cater to large family breakfasts including mimosas with fresh…read morefruit and berries. I am a cook myself but when having family gatherings and cooking early are a deterant for me. But she was able to come and cook fresh shrimp and grits. Scambled eggs with cheese, bacon cooked to perfection with sausage, smothered potatoes and honey butter biscuits. She catered one dinner consisting of a taco bar with homemade Chipotle chicken, charro beans, homemade avocado crema with all the taco fixings ! She even made charcuterie cups and fruits cups for appetizers. Everything was fresh delicious, and nothing went to waste everybody was highy impressed by the taste and quality for the budget. She is definitely worth a try as a new chef and any budget
