It was pleasant and, most importantly, quiet enough to allow easy conversation with your fellow diners across a table or booth. Second in importance to my wife and I during our most recent visit to Southwoods was the food. My wife got the cod and shrimp special and said it was the BEST cod that she had ever eaten - and she loves her fish - and that the shrimp was also very good. I also felt the liver and onions were among the best that I have ever had. And the quantities were great - with both my wife and I taking half our meal home to eat for dinner this evening - and the prices were more than fair. But, most importantly to us was the service! We were served by Libby and she was FANTASTIC! She took care of all of our requests, and kept our glasses filled, while never being intrusive! On a scale of "10", I will give the ambiance and the food the maximum score of 10", but - ala the movie "We Ate Spinal Tap" - I am giving Libby an "11"!
