On our first night in Petoskey, we stopped in for fish and chips while staying at the Perry Inn. The food and service were both decent--nothing extraordinary, but enjoyable. The bar had a lively vibe and the music was fantastic. After a walk around town, we returned later that evening to catch more of the live music and enjoy a few cocktails. There happened to be a wedding going on, and the energy was high--the place was packed and buzzing. All in all, a fun night out with a great atmosphere.

Found this pub thanks to Yelp and thoroughly enjoyed it. Clearly a local hangout, with live music on a Friday night. The food was very good - burgers, wings, French onion soup, fries, fish tacos were great and the whitefish was excellent. Popcorn on the table, while incredibly salty, was great with our drinks. Service was Friday night slow and waitresses were a bit harried but all good. Would go back any time!

I thought everything was fantastic. It's a little off the beaten path of the Main Street but we'll worth the extra 2 min walk. The ambience is dark and moody and everything you'd expect a pub to be. The complimentary popcorn is a nice added touch. We enjoyed listening to the live singer as well. 10/10 would recommend the spinach and artichoke dip and garlic noggin bread. Both were fantastic appetizers that we inhaled in about 2 minutes. The service was excellent as well. Our glasses were never empty and the food was delivered quickly. All staff was very nice.

So we had a much better experience this trip (and have come back twice for drinks in the "outdoor" Noggin Room. The food is great and the views are sublime. The menu has been pared down substantially (beware that online postings are mostly out of date). The house burger is HUGE. The "kid's" burger is a quarter pounder and more than enough food. Onion rings are delicious, salads are fresh and seasonal. We hate that COVID impacted the Perry's wedding business so substantially but it's been amazing to enjoy the summer al fresco with views of the bay. Come for the sunsets!

So the food and price are a straight two stars. I am so sad that I wasn't a fan of their pickle pizza after I read so many people raving about it here. I think the huge chunks of garlic threw me off as well as I was hoping for dill pickles and not sweet. My husband got a normal burger and asked to have no onions and the classic happened where it still had an onion on it. He has a pretty bad food aversion to them so he had to scrape off the cheese to avoid any potential taste of it. What's sad is that the place wasn't busy so I am not sure how our only request got messed up. The ambience was great, the live band/singer was great, I enjoyed our drinks, and the popcorn was a welcomed touch. But spending $88 on something that easily should have been $30-$40 max will keep us from coming back and trying something else.

I enjoyed the food. It was pretty late and there wasn't many options available and we happened to stumble upon this gem. Our server, Emir, was a great guy and there happened to be a concert while we were eating. Nice restaurant with good food. Although the pizza was not as great as the fish. I would definitely recommend this place. 4/5

New owners changed the menu and they took away the bibbed lettuce salad, took away the planked whitefish both were my favorites.

Food has gone downhill. Dont waste your money. Expensive pizza and salad and skimpy toppings. Use to really like this place.

Food was decent, good service, live music was a nice bonus; popcorn as a complementary snack is awesome especially if you have hungry kids

Went to this pub for our anniversary. Sometimes you just want nachos and not a fancy, expensive…read moresteak dinner. Romantic, I know! I got a few vodka sodas, a fountain coke, and my husband and I shared the giantest (yes it's a word) dish of nachos in the world. They were great. We brought the leftovers home to our in laws and although they were cold and soggy, they got demolished in minutes, ha! The service was efficient. Our server wasn't overly friendly but she wasn't rude either, just wanted to get the job done. Would definitely go back for nachos and a drink!

Easily the best bar in Petoskey and honestly one of the best ones I've been to anywhere. Yes, as a…read morehometown local I'm a little biased for sure but there is something very genuine and honest about the Pub and the people there. No pretension, no putting on airs or trying to impress anyone, everyone coming as they are. You'll rub elbows with local blue collar and service industry people, trust fund kids, wealthy summer residents, everyday folks of all kinds etc. I think a lot of reviews here are from visitors expecting The Pub to be like the Perry Hotel or one of the more tourist oriented places that bends over backwards and caters to summer vacationers. One even mentioned threatening to "Go ski somewhere else" for not being coddled I guess, which I found hilarious. They also seem to mention food a lot. For what it's worth the food is pretty darn good here, though my experience is usually over some appetizers later at night shared with friends over a few drinks. Solid burgers, can't go wrong with the fish & chips and their cheese curds are surprisingly good, easily rivaling anything you'd find in Wisconsin. That said I've always seen this place as a bar first and a place to drink with friends that just happens to have good late night food too. The service is good and the people working are top-notch and good at their job, but sometimes the Pub can get a bit too busy as there's just not a lot of competition that truly rivals it downtown. That's what happens when barely anything is open late in the post-covid world and businesses seem to be closing left and right. If you can keep your ego in check you'll find a pretty rare and valuable thing here which is a local pub welcoming to anybody and truly reflecting the full breadth of the local community.

Oh how I wish this place would have been better. It's a…read morecute place and our server did a great job overall. Those are the highlights. My friend ordered the kabob dinner and said it was good...but over $20 for some veggies is crazy. My gyro and truffle fries....honestly I should have just sent them back. This is one of the most disappointing meals I've had recently. They put a tomato paste on it that I almost requested without, but trusted it would be interesting. It literally tasted like cheap canned tomato paste. Gross and certainly doesn't blend well on a gyro. The lamb meat itself had a decent taste, but the way it is served makes it difficult to eat in a pita. Gyros are typically chopped or shaved lamb which makes it easier to eat and helps ensure you're getting more lamb per bite. Served in these strips, it was just falling apart and not blending with the feta. The fries...terrible. Just terrible. $6 to sub truffle fries which seems like too much but I hadn't had them in a long time so had to go for it. Listed in subs it simply says truffle fries, so I didn't know they were going to be covered in liquid cheese. They ARE listed in appetizers with the full description but I didn't look there until after bc I didn't order an appetizer. The cheese was awful, completely overwhelmed the TINY bit of truffle taste, and SO salty! Take a look at the picture and decide for yourself if the gyro and fries is worth $23. I eat a lot of gyros, and this being the most expensive one I've had is the worst. Heads up that they charge a service fee. Doesn't bother me as I always tip at least 20% but no one pointed that out and I'm not really sure what it's for. Does that go into the servers pocket or? Won't be going back to find out.
