After 2 bad experiences in a row, I had a very long conversation with the franchise owner and operator who said she would fix my problems. She sent me a gift card. I ordered 3 different sandwiches and everything was pretty perfect. Nonna Veggie is my new favorite sandwich, the sharp Italian reminds me of south philly old fashioned Italians hoagies of my youth and the whacked chicken is a fantastic sandwich. I'd recommend not getting a hot sandwich as they seem to mess these up, I've never had a problem with the cold ones. I'd also recommend ordering in person and waiting around, this way you know you're getting the freshest hoagie around. This Primo gets a bad rap for nothing. They fixed my problems and their local management really went above and beyond. read more

Me being from Philly this place is a disgrace to hoagie making. The meat to condiment ratio is ridiculous. And the bread was ridiculously hard. As soon as I unwrapped the hoagie I could see that something was off with the bread. Never will we order at this location again read more

Came here and didn't have to wait long to order a chicken Diablo. They made it hot and fresh which of course takes time but that's what makes it delicious. Staff were friendly and helpful in taking my order and making it exactly the way I wanted and sandwich was delicious. I love primo hoagies. Come to Northern Virginia please. read more

My experience here yesterday left a lot to be desired. When I called yesterday I was immediately put on hold. And I waited, and waited, and waited. And then I heard the person pick up another phone call and ask "pick-up or delivery?" They clearly had forgot that I was on hold. I do agree that they're not the best Primo's location I've ever had. But the Chicken Diablo sandwich was tasty, even if the breading on the chicken was a little more mushy than crispy. I may blame that more on the fact that I ate it a half hour later than when I picked it up. The roll was more soft than crusty. That was a mild surprise. Usually Primo puts out a more crusty roll. I have never left a bad review for a restaurant but felt it necessary for this location. I will start by saying the Primos franchise as a whole serves a delicious product, but this location takes no effort what so ever when preparing your food. I have given them multiple chances to redeem themselves but after today I will not be ordering from this location ever again. Three of the four sandwiches we ordered were wrong and we didn't even bother to open the fourth. Ended up throwing them back in the bag and I drove them back to the store...oh, and there phone number listed also doesn't work so there is no way to contact the store. I have to agree 2 years later with the other reviewer. I have been to Primos before but the other day was my first at this location and I was less than enthused on the overall experience to say the least. First of all it is not a welcoming establishment at all. The staff nor the one other patron there. I found it odd that during a lunchtime it was empty but I would later discover a possible reason why. I ordered my usual the Bada Bing. My friend ordered a Turkey it being her first time She wanted to keep it simple.. She felt she's gotten better at Wawa and spend way more.. I being more familiar with the price was just disappointed in the dry chicken and lack of flavor. Extremely disappointed in this visit.. I'll stick to the one near my house. I didnt order x-tra cheese as I used to, cuz I didn't think to, as I always have cheese at home.But, I think they changed the cheese they USED to use because this was the very BEST ever sandwich I've ever had here! Would never order again! I ordered eggplant parmigiana hoagie, when the order was delivered, it looks like a small piece of shit on the bread. You can see picture on Facebook. Talked with Brittany, the general manager, she said that it was her, who made this hoagie and swear to put cheese and sauce in it. She said there is no return or money back. My coworkers had a lot of fun today to look at my "lunch", nobody believes I 've paid $6.99 for it. It ended in trash can. I would not recommend to waste your money. read more

I have been going to Primos The original, to the ones in S Jersey, the hoagie I ordered I have to order extra meat just to be able to taste it. So I get the sloppiest inedible thing I've ever seen, and yep I drive it back, something I've never done in my life, ever, I don't want the "special sauce" on whatever they recreate but I go there both of the girls working Friday were the rudest 2 well one older woman yelling at me, the other trying to say oh I weighed it. I've ordered a double meat sammich here a dozen times, I know what I'm supposed to get. This ain't it, it's soggy inedible, and I got the runaround to the point that she says, I'll make you another one but you have to pay for it..(maybe I should have and put whatever was under all the slop on top.. I mean I know primos, I know they're trying to clean up, but it was an hour ago. My 2 nieces and both their boyfriends worked an one still works there, and I remember SPhilly (before the franchising) you'd order say a ham and cheese, and you couldn't shut the roll you could buy 2 more rolls and make 3 sammiches (we were poor). Now ..well I'll never go to another chain primos, just the original, and I've been going here for 35 years, any idea how many tens of thousands, maybe hundreds with me ordering for all of us. The hoagie I got was good, sure, but I had to practically put it together myself. If I knew it was some-assembly-required I would have gone to a deli. For near $10 a hoagie I at least expect it to be put together. Not to mention they didn't put any oil or mayo on it, an Italian! There weren't even options for it! Pretty similar to other reviews - Great lunchmeat type sandwiches/hoagies. The chicken specialty sandwiches are decent, but the cutlets seem like they are cooked-refrigerated-then heated up, as they have that mushy texture to the breading. Chicken should definitely be more crispy and never mushy. But, in the end, good food ! read more

I ordered a mild Italian hoagie expecting it to be $5.99 because I received texts that Italian hoagies are $5.99 today May 5th. I pick up my hoagie and I am charged $9.49. I've been reading yelp reviews for 3 years. Always wanted to sign up and start reviewing but always put if off. Finally have been inspired to get it going. Unfortunately my first review is going to be a negative one. I've had primo hoagies at several different locations and I'm normally a big fan. This prospect park location is a bit of a joke. Ordered from there about 2 years ago. Ended up having to go back because one of the sandwiches wasn't right. Decided to give them another chance last week. Never imagined I'd go through the same thing again. We ordered 3 sandwiches. My wife went to pick them up. She pulled up at home and started walking in and realized the bag seemed light. Looks in the bag. There's only 2 sandwiches in the bag but knew she had paid for 3. She quickly calls to let them know. The kid tells her that someone else working there was supposed to tell her that they were out of meatballs so that she could pick another sandwich. But she's already home. No one ever said a word. She went all the way back (about 15 minutes away) to get the money back for the sandwich we didn't get. It's hard to believe that almost the same thing could happen 2 times 2 years apart. Needless to say I will never order from that location again! What a joke! read more

Haven't been to this Primos in about 2 years and tonight we remember why. 3 terrible hoagies. I literally removed about half an onion from my Mild Italian. We attempted to call in our order ahead and the phone just rang and rang. They informed us they don't answer the phone after 7pm. Customer service at this store is non-existent. Barely a greeting and never a friendly attitude or even a forced smile. Old Fashioned Style Italian Sausage was missing the peppers and Marinara Sauce. It is really disappointing that the Primos closest to home is so awful. From now on I will pick it up in Philly and bring it home with me. read more
