The restaurant has a charming and casual vibe. Both gentlemen tending the floor are from Italy, adding an air of authenticity. You can choose to sit outdoors -- I really like the way the patio is arranged --or in the cozy dining room. Once seated, you're brought a plate of roasted peppers and a basket of hard rolls. I sprinkled olive oil and grated salt on the plate, which proved a good idea with the peppers and rolls. There were a number of appetizer specials, but we went with a basic Caesar salad. One order, pre-apportioned in the kitchen, was perfect for the two of us. I ordered branzino as an entree T, linguini Pescatore. The whole fish is brought out and fileted tableside. While I took a photo, it was just one unflattering shot of the head (which I'm not posting.) The branzino was mild and flakey, good, though the seasoning didn't break through the skin rendering it a little bland. Excellent grilled potatoes and vegetables completed my dinner. My husband's linguini was delish; while the pasta isn't made in house, it tasted like it could be, served al dente, of course. The tomato sauce was spicy enough to bring the dish over the top. Portobello is byob. (Another Yelper mentioned an $8 corkage fee, but unless they forgot to charge us, they disbanded the policy.) After our meal, with takeout box packed -- there was a lot of fish -- we were offered amaretto as a digestif. A nice touch! The restaurant isn't all that convenient to where we live but we enjoyed dinner enough to warrant a repeat visit. Next time I'll try something Italian. Or maybe salmon, which looked pretty good. Reservations suggested, particularly on weekends.

I have been here a few times, with the first visit being the best of the three "attempted" visits, I believe. The first time we were so impressed with both the service and the food that we had been looking for every opportunity to go back and enjoy a meal without the distraction of other people or kids, and when we did finally secure that on a random Thursday early evening, we were sorely disappointed. We arrived at 4 in the afternoon, it was a bit busy for that time of day, with most of the seating already taken. However, there were several booths open as well as a larger table open. When we asked to be seated (no one else was waiting) we were politely told that there was nothing available and that all the remaining tables were reserved for people at 5pm. This is by no means the fault of the hostesses but there was also no reason we couldn't be seated and we left very disappointed and a bit bothered. So having a third chance to go to Santino's again, was also a good experience, just not as exciting and outstanding as the first. Our server was great, as the staff has always been, even when we were turned away, but nothing really stood out as anything special this time. The food was good, but nothing to write home about. I was sold on the meatball salad, which was a concept that seemed really strange to me at first, but then I cozied up to it and convinced myself it was a great, unique thing. It was bland at best, but still interesting! Everything else was just okay. Not what I remembered from the original time I had been here. All of that said, this is still somewhere I will go again. The draw of the unique, rotating menu is too great, and the people that work here are wonderful. Plus it's nearby and easy! Give Santino's a try. Maybe it was an off day the last time I was there and maybe the one time, they were simply too busy or worried we wouldn't be finished before their reserved seating showed up. Either way, it's worth some of your time, a taste, and some of your dollars.

We were pretty disappointed with the Stromboli, as it seemed like there was maybe a quarter cup of marinara in the entire Stromboli (which served like 4-6). The whole reason we opted for a Stromboli instead of a calzone was because we wanted a nice saucy inside. If you're going to drastically skimp on the sauce, give us some on the side! Additionally, we were bummed that they very clearly don't saute or zhush their spinach in any way before stuffing it inside. It seemed like frozen, thawed spinach was just crammed in there; it was stringy and bland. Our normal take-out place sautes their spinach in garlic, and it's delicious. Also - as a matter of personal preference - we both enjoy our sausage in balls rather than slices (like pepperoni). Take my review with a grain of salt since I only got one item, but if you're looking for a good Stromboli, I probably wouldn't recomment Johny's.

It was so refreshing to hear their passion and excitement for their food offerings! Their menu is pretty well rounded, several types of burgers, chicken sandwiches, pizza's etc. It's an extensive menu. The owner, who was manning the pizza oven, was nice enough to let me try a fresh garlic knot which was very tasty! I went with a cheesesteak the first time which was on a fresh Amoroso roll. The sandwich came out quick and was one the of top 10 Delco cheesesteaks I have had. Light grease/clean roll, nice cheese to meat ratio, sliced meat but not chopped too fine, meat was seasoned and had nice flavor. The portion size was just right and the roll was definitely fresh. I added some hot peppers for extra flavor and kick. Second order was delivery, we had a Sicilian pizza delivered to the office. It was a solid offering. Lightly sweet sauce, fresh cheese and just the right thickness. I will have to try some of their other pizza offerings as well. Third order was a take out Cheeseburger. The 8 oz of Angus beef could have used some seasoning, but the lettuce, tomato, onion, pickles, hot peps, mustard and ketchup toppings helped relieve the lack of beef flavor. The brioche roll they had it on was soft, fresh and fantastic. It was big portion. They are a little out of the way for me, but worth the trip to enjoy more of their menu. Definitely check these guys out!

Ordered 2 Italian diablos through grub hub. About an hour later I get a call saying that there was an issue with the order and it would take about another 45 minutes. I was fine with that. An hour later the delivery driver shows up and hands me the sandwiches. Upon opening one up I literally had a sandwich with nothing but cheese and long hots on it, nothing else. I called the store and explained the situation and I get a "my bad dude, I'll get the driver to bring you out the right sandwiches in about an hour, hour and a half". At this point were going on 2 and a half hours for just 2 hoagies. No help from the employees just a half assed sorry and another hour wait. Not happening got a refund.
