Hunter was able to single-handedly take the stress of relocating to a new city, down several notches. The next day, she even phoned to see if I had any follow-up questions and provided a resource for moving help should I need some extra muscle to help unload my Pod. Employees like Hunter are the thing that separate the Space Shop Self Storage from the universe of mediocre, run-of-the-mill storage facilities. We started with the previous company Simpsonville Self Storage and the owner named Steven. I had picked this storage unit for my mother moving from Texas. When I arrived back from Texas I was surprised the company had been purchased and they had no record of my previous reservation with Steven from Simpsonville Storage. Oh goodness what a mess, I soon learned the previous owner had lied to me and didn't bother to reserve or pass on any information even though it had only been a week. (He knew the business was up for sale and purposely lied to me and mislead me). Upon working with Karen at the new company, She helped me figure out all the paper work and managed to get me a unit the same day! Karen, is amazing! I was in a pickle for sure, and she was able to make it all work for us. I have been very impressed with her service and would recommend this storage facility. Its clean and the new company cares.

She was incredibly welcoming and had tons of advice about our quick move including suggested size unit. She drove us to the different size units and showed us wonderful professionalism and tons of information. She truly loves her job and treated us like family. She offered various purchases to us with included info in a non pushy way. (Lock, packing supplies etc) turns out their prices are very good- I did my research. We signed the contract, purchased the lock from them and begin to move our things. On our second trip to came over and offered us bottled water and checked to see if we needed anything. She personally drives the facility And checks the units daily. Wonderful experience, super helpful and informative, very very sweet, and feeling very happy we are storing our things here while we build. Thank you Sibbie! *******Adding unfortunate notes to my review. Absolutely nothing to do with Sibbie and her customer service. (thats why i am keeping the 5 stars) We signed our storage unit contract in June. November I received a price increase notice. I called Sibbie and she suggested I call customer service (corporate deals with pricing). The online price is cheaper than what i WAS paying and even more cheaper than what the price increased to. I called customer service to see if they could work something out with me. I thought it was unfair the prices were increasing so high. Customer service rep may has well been a robot. She just kept saying "you can expect prices increases at anytime once or twice a year". I asked about loyalty or working with me on price. She just repeated her message. So if you use Public Storage expect exceptional customer service at this location, but definitely not with corporate. And keep in mind they submit price increases once or twice a year. At this rate, my monthly cost could INCREASE $30 or MORE EACH YEAR.

This is ridiculous, and on top of that, the rent increase is no longer in line with the value I am getting. It seems like there is a disconnect in service and general care for customers. You can do better, but maybe you don't care. [shrug] 8.9.25 - Got a voicemail to call back - called back - no answer - now getting calls on a Sunday morning for payment on the unit "to avoid late charges". My response - "fix the light!". But when asked when it will be fixed and the district manager can help... "sorry I don't know". 8.2025 - District Manager finally called - set a meeting to fix the light - unfortunately the entire lighting system short-circuited and I was told I'd get a call back to replace it. That call never happened. Was also told they would reduce my monthly -- assumed that meant ongoing - nope... 1 month and then they reverted back to much higher charges with NO notice whatsoever. 11.4, 11.11 and 11.14 left messages to try and resolve this with no responses. 11.15.25 - I called again to leave a message - was told by the front desk person that all messages were sent to district manager. So here we are again - a real cluster on so many levels.
