We have met the woman on the weekends and the weekday staff; all great people that are accommodating and pleasant to work with. They were pretty full but they had a couple of units to work with and they were able to get us in right away. The facility is air conditioned, clean, and is organized really well. They offer a lot of equipment to roll your stuff to your unit and they have a big elevator. It's not 24 hours but they have good enough hours for us. We feel good about our decision to keep our belongings here.

When I arrived, the check-in process was easy and quick and my unit was clean and ready to go. Not only is this storage facility clean and very secure (2 points of entry required), but they prorate your rental charges depending on when you start and when you move out (which is a nice change from the traditional storage unit model). I made several trips to the office which was not manned for several days to let them know. I also called the manager on the day I emptied the unit so that they would not charge my credit card for another month. I sent two text messages as well as an email to the business email account. The company tried to charge me for another month causing me to have to dispute charge with my credit card. I also was told my refund of my security deposit would be refunded within 3 days. Here it is 10 days later and no refund of security deposit. They say they refunded it to an expired card which is no longer in the system. I called my banking facility for that card and they said the transaction never was processed. Lake and Trail are now refusing to fix the refund mistake shorting me $50 security deposit. Their office is closed a lot and the manager talks only via cell phone and has been of no help whatsoever. Not very professional.

However, the real excitement happened to me yesterday. I cleaned out my unit Sunday and went to the office to close out, but I was too late and they had closed. I made a note to call Monday afternoon. Midday Monday I got a moveout confirmation letter. Turns out they do rounds twice daily, noted that my lock was gone and the unit was empty, and they took care of everything for me! When I need storage again, there's no doubt where I'll go.

The button entry is on a post that wobbles so badly you have to go very slowly to not push the wrong numbers. The side doorstop constantly drops so you have bend over and hold it up as you shut the door. these are not hard maintenance issues to fix however, when I brought it to the manager's attention, all she said was "yeah I know I keep sending request out to corporate, but they never do anything."
