I had looked at several other storage facilities in the area when I was selling my house and moving into an apartment and needed to store some of my stuff. 10x Self Storage beat all of the rest that I looked at. The manager that I first met with was excellent and and explained the whole process to me who hadn't rented a unit previously. The facility is easily accessible and conveniently situated with lots of parking. It is climate controlled and the inside access is great as opposed to other facilities which only had access from the outdoors and were not climate controlled. The building is kept very clean which I appreciated.

Previously, I was at a competitor. I had a small 5x10 unit, outdoor access, not climate controlled, and part-time attendant. I went there because it was close, and they had a "first month free" offer. I never actually got that free month, and they raised my rates twice in a six month period by a large amount. At first, it was $85/month, then two months in it was raised to $133/mo; then I got a notice in November that it would be raised to $180/mo right before Christmas. I decided it was time to move out and find some place better. I got a unit at 10x Self Storage on Pullman Street. The unit was 10x10 (actually a little bigger), indoor, and climate controlled. At $175/mo, it was a tad cheaper than my previous unit with way more benefits. They offered 50% off for the first three months, and actually stuck by the offer (unlike the previous place that never gave me the promised free month). I used the 10x10 for a year, then downsized to a smaller 5x5 unit at $59/mo before moving out (I no longer needed extra storage). I really appreciate a company that doesn't bait-and-switch, and that doesn't get you into a unit only to jack your rates up. I found 10x to be an honest business, top quality, and a pleasure to do business with. I recommend them, and would also use their facilities again.

I had an extremely frightening experience with a Gallo Moving truck this morning on Route 138 in…read moreCanton. I was driving in the right-hand lane, preparing to get onto the I-95 ramp, when a Gallo Moving truck came off the highway and began moving directly into my lane while my vehicle was already there. Instead of slowing down or yielding, the driver continued coming over and literally forced me out of my lane. The truck came within about ONE INCH of my passenger-side mirror. I had nowhere to go and ended up stuck between the two lanes, basically creating a third lane. Cars traveling in the left lane actually had to stop because I was being pushed into their lane. This could have caused a very serious accident. There were three men in the Gallo truck, and I could not see a license plate on the vehicle. What is most upsetting is that this was not simply someone making a minor driving mistake. The driver continued to move into my lane even though my vehicle was right beside the truck. When you are driving a large commercial moving truck with your company's name on it, you have a responsibility to operate that vehicle safely. I am sharing this because people should be aware of my experience. The reckless driving I witnessed this morning put me and several other motorists in a very dangerous situation. Thankfully, the drivers around me reacted quickly enough to avoid an accident. I hope Gallo Moving takes this seriously, identifies the driver and truck involved, and addresses this before someone gets seriously hurt.

I rented a space during a Labor Day special and on the day realize that I didn't need to rent the space so I did what I was supposed to I called and I canceled and the gentleman that I talked to said that that was fine I'd be charged nothing because I also had the pay a dollar and the first month free they still charged me 53 so my dollars and when I went to complain about it they said they had no record of it so buyer beware. They tell you one thing and mean another.

They have moved me, family members, and some co-workers/friends out over the years and I haven't heard a single complaint from anyone. Quite the opposite. They're curtious and cautious with the way they handle the furniture. They do not waste time, but also do not rush the process. They take the time needed for careful planning ahead of the job to map out the most efficient route if the move is a longer distance. Easy ebb & flow the day-of. I had zero worries and was able to do what I needed the day of my move, while they took care of the rest. Incredibly grateful for the way they handle things on their end, because moving is stressful and chaotic enough. I would venture to say wildly fair for the service you end up receiving. The storage units are all inside, meaning you don't access the units until you have access to the inside building. Which can be a problem on some level because you are limited to accessing your storage by their set business hours. So evening hours to access storage is off limits, as is early weekend mornings. ( other storage facilities allow access during off hours via an access code) That's why I gave it a 4 Star. Other than that, the building is very clean, air tight, organized, pleasant, safe and a top notch place to store your stuff. One other down side is that it's pricey, but you pay more for what you get as they say!

We had a unit for three years. in that time the price increased 100%. The first increase was within the first 6 months, and the rate was increased twice in a 12 month period. Obviously corporate decisions and not of the local crew. They could increase your rent every month, just be aware.
