Oh, where to begin with Prime Pool Care and Tanner the owner.....
If you like to deal with someone who wants to take advantage of the elderly or people new to pool care, pass the buck and not take responsibility, by all means, this is the company for you.
Prime Pool Care started to service my mother's pool after they recently purchased a home. She has never owned a pool so she trusted him to be honest and do the right things, especially at the price of $138 a month.
The company started servicing the pool about a month after they moved in. For the entire month without service - their pool was crystal clear. But when Tanner and his company took over, things rapidly changed. I won't even address the 5 minutes they spent cleaning the pool (which I hear is typical). But considering that this was my mom's pool - the owner would constantly text me updates or ask questions about the pool (some of those text messages would come after normal working hours when I was rocking my baby to sleep). I asked him multiple times to communicate directly with my mom and aunt. But nope, he would still text me. About 6 days after his second visit, the pool water became incredibly murky. Considering that he had established that he was ok with text messages after business hours since he would constantly text me about the pool despite being asked not to. And since he was more interested in communicating with me, instead of his paying clients, I texted him about the situation and asked for a timeframe that he expected to service the pool on the day he came out. I explained the issue - he kept saying the pool "just needed to be cleaned." I don't have a pool and I have never had to maintain a pool, but I'm not an idiot and I don't appreciate being treated like one. Up until 2 weeks ago, the pool hadn't been serviced in a month. By the time he started, temperatures started to cool and we had had absolutely no weather conditions that would have contributed to murky water. So I found his response odd. Instead of saying, I'll be there Monday sometime between 11-3 (which would have immediately ended any continued text exchange on his "family day".... he got on the defensive and said he would not take the blame for the pool being a mess because he can't control what happens when he is not there. A super odd response - considering I just asked for a time. After a lengthy text exchange, he decided he wasn't going to come out at all - so I asked for a partial refund since we paid for the full month but he refused. We disputed the charge with the credit card company. And we end up finding out who serviced the pool for the old owners. When the new guy came out - he emptied the filter - which hadn't been emptied for weeks. Considering Tanner and his team came out twice, you think they would have cleaned those out. $800 dollars later (which is what it cost to clean up his mess) we have a perfectly clean pool. He is extremely unprofessional and condescending. read more
