This spot has been on my list for a while now after hearing great things about it! Stopped by and there was a short wait on a Tuesday evening. We waited around 20 min for our pizza and saw that the large group after us had gotten their food already. I checked in with the cashier and he said the previous cashier had not put it in the system, so I paid once again to place the order. Turns out the previous cashier had charged me but the order itself somehow didn't go through, so I was charged twice in total but reassured that I'd be refunded. The second cashier was very apologetic and ensured that our pizza would come out ASAP, and it did in about 5 more minutes. A little mishap but the second cashier handled it very well! I ordered square slices of the grandma and the Sicilian! Both were amazing, the grandma was more simple with only cheese and sauce, but the Sicilian had more flavor and pesto as well. The crunch on the pizzas was AMAZING and it was a great balance of sauce and cheese. Would definitely come back again! read more

Prime Pizza is definitely of the best spots for square pies. We really like the square pies because of the crispy crust, fluffy dough and savory toppings. We usually go with the grandma and we add sausage and pepperoni. Highly recommended and if you have left overs pop it in the oven for 10 mins and it's just as good! My employer catered from Prime Pizza. The pieces are gigantic- 2 normal size pieces combined. The taste was okay not mind blowing and the crust was a bit hard to chew. I am not usually a thin-crust kind of person, but I have made an exception for prime pizza. One day I was staving and came upon this place; I decided to try the lunch special, which includes two cheese slices and a drink for 8 dollars. It cost extra for additional toppings, so I decided to add pepperoni to one of the slices. The pizza came out pipping hot and delicious. The bottom of the crust was crispy and reminded me of a New York slice but it cost a bit more. I usually steer away from just a cheese slice since I don't find it to have much flavor. However, I actually love the cheese slice more than the pepperoni slice. The pepperoni slice had a lot of oil to where it was dripping down the sides. But the cheese was light on the oil but had lots of flavor but not overwhelming on the cheese. I loved it so much that I returned a few times to try different toppings. The pizza is on the pricier side, and the slice is thin but large. The last few times we ordered from there, we spent easily over high twenty to low thirty for a pizza. read more

I accidentally ordered a gluten-free pizza instead of a regular one on Uber Eats and called the restaurant immediately to see if they could help switch it to a normal pizza. They told me there would be a price difference of more than five dollars, so they couldn't accommodate my request. I understand it was my mistake, but I hoped they would be a little more flexible--especially since it would have been as simple as just changing the dough. When I got my food, the gluten-free pizza didn't taste good at all. It was disappointing that they didn't try to find any way to resolve this, given their reputation as a "great pizza place." Great pizza spot! I ordered the Spicy Pepperoni Square Pizza. It has 8 huge slices packed with pepperoni on top. I also got it well done as I like the crust to be nice and crispy. It did not disappoint. Each slice was packed with so much flavor. As soon as you take a bite you get the crispy crunchy crust then comes the cheese and sauce and finally the spicy pepperoni. The interior of the place is pretty small but they do have a few tables inside. Parking can be a bit of a pain as they only have a few spots. The pizza is pretty pricey at $30+ for a whole pizza but it can fill up 2-3 people. I do appreciate that they have slices to buy if you don't want a whole one. Third time is not a charm. I pass this place often and see that it's often busy. I want to jump in on the hype but I just can't. And yes, I've given it a few chances. The pepperoni 18" the first two times and most recently, the supreme. Two things are most important for me with pizza. Cheese and sauce. I don't know if they rush, but their pizza has yet to show me either. In addition, the flavor is lacking. They should consider garlic butter crust or some oregano in the sauce. The guys behind Bludso's, Golden State and Cofax started up this pizza place with a few locations including Burbank. I was curious about the pizza offerings here, since I am a fan their restaurants. First of all, I really appreciate the CONTACTLESS pickup and curbside delivery (very cool that they prioritize safety measures during Covid times). The employees here are super nice and hard working (they deserve BIG tips). Now as for the pizza? Straight up, I didn't enjoy it. I got half pepperoni and cheese. The pizza crust was CRUNCHY, like a cracker. Tasted like a baked pita chip with cheese and sauce or a big ass horderves. The toppings and sauce was very SALTY. However, the pepperoni was good. I guess the pizza gods were not on my side today. Perhaps I came on an off day? Most of the reviews rave about how good this "New York Style" pizza is, but for me it's a hard no. The pizza itself is great. However, it is a bit more expensive then other pizza places in the Burbank area. Toss in that parking is pretty much non-existent and even if you obtain a parking spot in the lot, it is a pain in the "A" to get out of the lot. I am sure this is dependent on day of week and time you go. Friday and Saturday between 530 and say 8, it is a nightmare. So the question is, is the great taste of the pizza worth the hassle of parking and the extra cost or not. You have to make up your mind on that. read more

Prime Pizza is one of the few places in LA that reminds me of NYC pizza! We all know NYC has the best pizza so when I moved here, it was really tough for me to find good pizza in LA. I've come across a few that come close and Prime is one of those places! I've had Prime Pizza from three locations now (Downtown, WeHo and NoHo) and luckily this one just opened down the street from my house! Normal pies are easier to get in LA but what Prime Pizza does that not many do is make an amazing grandma pie. If you aren't familiar with what a grandma pie is, the sauce is usually a little sweeter and the pies are square cut. Prime pizza by far has the best grandma pie I've had in LA! They also have Sicilian style pizzas as well as traditional round pies. Another great thing about Prime Pizza is that they sell by the slice. So if you happen to be in the area or walking by, you can pop in for a couple slices and a drink as an easy meal. Parking here is easy too unlike the other locations. There is a small parking lot that can fill up quickly but there is ample street parking nearby as well. I've never had trouble finding a spot. The downside to Prime Pizza is that it is a bit more expensive than what you might be expecting to pay for a pizza. But with the higher price comes higher quality ingredients and a better taste in my opinion. So if you don't do pizza too often, I'd say, spend the extra $10 and spring for Prime Pizza. You will not be disappointed. Also, because Prime Pizza is so delicious, make sure you allow time for your order because it can get busy and the wait times can get long. I've gone in twice when they had already stopped taking orders for the night because they were so backed up. So keep that in mind when you decide it's a pizza night and plan ahead! read more

You guys, wtf?! Your pizza is so good but, c'mon man, get it together. I ordered online for pick up, which said would be just shy of an hour. No problem. Sicilian square and salad ordered. We waited the allotted time and showed up just 5 minutes early. Working in the food/service biz for so long, I could tell something was wrong when I went to pick up my pie. After telling the counter guy my name, he turned to the pizza guy who quickly disappeared. When he reappeared and said, "it'll be ready in 8 minutes.." Total sus, but I would rather have a super fresh out of the oven pizza than one that has been sitting there. The guy at the register said he would bring it out when it was ready. Fine, whatever. Ordered a beer to drink while we waited. 35 minutes later. No pizza. Finished the beer and went back in. Guy at the register took it out of the hot box because dude said he would bring it out. I was like, "how long has it been in there?" He was like, "oh, just a few minutes." I pretty much called him out on the lie and told him that they were supposed to bring it out. Was I nice about it? Yeah. He doesn't get paid enough to get heat from me. Just wanted him to know that I knew. Pizza was good. Not piping hot but life goes on. We ate it quickly in the car because I was really hungry. Fantastic! Was looking to grab some pizza on the go in Burbank and I was feeling amped to try Prime Pizza after reading the reviews and taking a look at the (drool worthy) photos. I went square pizzas all the way! Ordered the grandmas, Sicilian, spicy pep and a gluten free grandmas. Had to eat a slice there before hitting the road. Holy hot and fresh! I LOVED the crispy cheese and crunchy crust. The crushed tomatoes were so delicious on the grandmas. The Sicilian was a little oily, but that's because of the pesto! Very rich, but worth it. I ordered curbside pickup but was curious to check out the kitchen. I placed my order hours in advance but when I arrived they were still in the oven. So I had to wait a little, but deal. I've never been to the Fairfax location. I've been to the Little Tokyo location several times and to this Burbank location twice. This review won't cover the taste. I'm a fan. Crust is great for both grandma and round with grandma being hands down my fave. The fresh ingredients used are noticeable. The parking situation in Little Tokyo eventually wore me down and I stopped being a regular patron. For my first order to the Burbank location, I requested curbside pickup. The very courteous and cheerful staff who answered requested my CC info and also a description of my vehicle. I inquired if I would have to call once I arrived and he told me it wasn't necessary. Sure enough, I got my pizza. No matter what, due to heat, steam, and travel, my well done grandma is always soggy, but it fared much better than it typically does from the Little Tokyo location even though the Little Tokyo location is closer to me. Maybe I just need to have a cast iron skillet preheated, at the ready, to bring the soggy pieces back to life. For my second order, I repeated the phone order process and I notified the person of my vehicle color. I arrived and waited over 40 minutes. That didn't seem right to me so I gave them a call. The staff said my pizza had been ready and I should have given them a call as soon as I arrived. This was a bit frustrating as it was contrary to the directions given to me the first time. I only get pizza for my cheat days, it's basically $70 each time, so if the pizzas are cold, I really would rather just re-order. Especially during these COVID-19 times, food is really the only joy I have left. I'll try again this Friday and see how it fares. Overall, just from these two orders, the flavor and texture, and consistency of the "well done" bake has been on point whereas at the Little Tokyo location, sometimes well done ends up completely burnt.
