Really awful practice, they push you out the door and barely see the children, they pay you no mind and brunch of parents concerns.

Brown showed and I decided that even though we were far I'd continue to go to primary pediatrics, where we have been seeing NP Hanbin Chung.

So far, so good! My…read morefamily recently moved so I began searching for pediatricians not too far from me. I specifically was looking for African-American pediatricians that had good ratings on Google and Yelp. It was hard but finally I came across TLC pediatrics and I was so happy I did! We are still new patients; my daughter's first visit was less than two weeks ago. Everyone we encountered was very nice and personable. Even when I scheduled the appointment, the receptionist was very kind and patient. There was not any long wait times... just a typical 5-10min here and there. My daughter enjoyed her visit up until her immunization shot lol. The rooms are definitely kids friendly and they have toys to keep children at ease. My husband and daughter returned yesterday for a sick visit and it was super easy to schedule! He also told me that it was empty and he had no wait time. He told me he really loved this office and looks forward to continuing to have our daughter go here. Btw Dr. Long originally saw us and then Dr. Washington yesterday.

The staff is very rude. The office also penny pinches for EVERY single thing in office. I'm coming from Kaiser where everything is included so maybe I don't understand how things work but my son needed to have mucus sucked out his nose and that cost $150? I could've just gone and bought a nosefrida. I should've been notified about the cost before picking the boogers out my kids nose because that was a hefty bill. Then they hounded me for the money as soon as I got the bill. I paid it and we did not last more than 6 months with the practice.

Jennifer, the Office Manger is the friendliest, most personable professional I have ever encountered! She is attentive, and everything is taken care of. From refreshments, to billing and making sure your next appointment is scheduled, she is on top of it all. I love the informational sheets and goals that are printed out at the end of each appointment reminding us of goals and vital information we discussed with Dr. Parker. Dr. Parker is enthusiastic, a terrific listener and you can tell she truly cares about the health of your child. I've never experienced a practice such as this and I would recommend this practice to any one seeking to feel supported throughout their journey to living a healthy life for their children.

This review is mostly for Dr. Paul Giles, but there are tidbits thrown in about the practice in…read moregeneral. First, the bad: scheduling an appointment. This guy must be beloved by all of his patients because when I initially called for an appointment, I was going to have to wait 3 months! Luckily, I called to check a few times and got one same-day appointment when somebody cancelled. So with perseverance you can get around that unpleasant wait. When the schedule is that packed, though, it makes me worry about being able to get an appointment if I really need one in lieu of having to go to an overcrowded urgent care or ER. So it's a consideration. The good: There's quite a bit. - The facility was clean and up to date. Nice waiting area with a digital check-in (for returning patients). - Quadrivalent flu shots-- many places give trivalent shots, which only protect against 3 strains of flu, whereas quadrivalent shots throw in protection against 4. As someone who has a bad track record with the flu, I'm grateful to find somewhere that has quadrivalent flu vaccines. - Staff was friendly and helpful while I was there. RHONDA! One of the nurses gave me a shot and I kid you not-- I felt nothing. Nada. Zip. I loathe shots, but this just felt like she poked me gently with a pen or something. Of course, the actual vaccine made my arm sore the next day, but I jokingly told Rhonda that I was going to tattoo a little dot right where she stuck me so I could always know where that sweet spot was in case I ever need a shot when she's not around. DR. GILES - This guy was great about addressing multiple issues in one visit. He wasn't stingy with his time, and didn't make me feel like I could only ask advice for one issue when I've been having several health concerns. He is straightforward and technologically savvy, entering details of the visit directly into an electronic patient file and using Google to find information to share with me. I left with a printout of the information he wanted me to look into. Unlike other M.D.'s Dr. Giles is open to alternative ideas about healthcare. He encouraged me to consider a whole foods, plant-based diet to help with some systemic concerns I've had. Doctors hardly ever seem to "prescribe" a diet change unless it's for obesity or heart disease, etc. which aren't my issues. He recommended I watch a readily available documentary and an academic lecture on the subject and see what I thought. My one real gripe is that if you're going to suggest a huge diet change to a patient, it'd be good to give some specific advice about portions, recipes, etc. to get it going safely. I have been implementing his recommendations, but it's difficult without much information and/or guidance. Other than that, I'm happy to have found Dr. Giles.

I have been coming to the Bowie Office Probably Over 10 years! I have to admit, there are times when I have had to hold for 10 minutes but I have never experience the rudeness or disrespect. What I have experienced is calling my doctor at the beginning of Covid19 because I was very sick. However because I did not have a high temp (my norm runs about 95, I was at 100 for me, it was high.) I was not considered a priority at the ER! I called my Dr. at MPC in Bowie, who told me to come to the back door, took my temp, took the nose swab and sent me back to the ER with a note! I was told, don't read-it, give it straight to check-in. I don't know what it said but I was finally tested and had Covid. I know, when I was a new patient and saw my Dr. I was given labs early afternoon which included blood work. My doctor, read my labs and left a message that I needed to come back to the office and she would wait for me. I got the message after 7pm but went by. I was pre-diabetic and she wanted me to have medication on the cruise. See she remembered a previous conversations about me trying new deserts when I cruise. I can call my Dr., send messages for my mom, dad or myself and get answers or appointments. BTW - she/they treat my parents and my husband. There have been changes with the staff but I have no doubt, it will be corrected. They take great care of us.

It takes forever to get your prescriptions/referrals correct and then you have to wait for months if you need an authorization. Some of the front desk staff are very unprofessional! I have left several messages regarding different issues that I am experiencing and no one ever returns your calls. I am not sure who is doing the hiring for this location but someone needs to do better screening and hire people that love their job because the people that I am speaking to are not professional. There are a couple of people that have tried to help me but for the most part, this office needs help and they need to do better.

Once inside I learned that you can schedule an appointment in advance if needed. Registration is to be done online via a QR code. Because my need was outside of the norm, a receptionist assisted with registration. I could tell that they were new, as many mistakes were made, from entering myself in the system rather than my child, failure to ask for my insurance card, and having to repeat/enter information in several times. I appreciate the need to learn; however, at some point it would have been helpful for someone else to take over (eventually they did). Once taken back, the RN that assisted us was super kind and gentle with our son. He took the time to answer any questions that we had. The NP was kind and listened to our concerns. We were advised we would receive a follow up call, as of late (it's been 5 days) and that hasn't occurred. Overall, I was really pleased with my experience, at PM.
