This review is mostly for Dr. Paul Giles, but there are tidbits thrown in about the practice in…read moregeneral. First, the bad: scheduling an appointment. This guy must be beloved by all of his patients because when I initially called for an appointment, I was going to have to wait 3 months! Luckily, I called to check a few times and got one same-day appointment when somebody cancelled. So with perseverance you can get around that unpleasant wait. When the schedule is that packed, though, it makes me worry about being able to get an appointment if I really need one in lieu of having to go to an overcrowded urgent care or ER. So it's a consideration. The good: There's quite a bit. - The facility was clean and up to date. Nice waiting area with a digital check-in (for returning patients). - Quadrivalent flu shots-- many places give trivalent shots, which only protect against 3 strains of flu, whereas quadrivalent shots throw in protection against 4. As someone who has a bad track record with the flu, I'm grateful to find somewhere that has quadrivalent flu vaccines. - Staff was friendly and helpful while I was there. RHONDA! One of the nurses gave me a shot and I kid you not-- I felt nothing. Nada. Zip. I loathe shots, but this just felt like she poked me gently with a pen or something. Of course, the actual vaccine made my arm sore the next day, but I jokingly told Rhonda that I was going to tattoo a little dot right where she stuck me so I could always know where that sweet spot was in case I ever need a shot when she's not around. DR. GILES - This guy was great about addressing multiple issues in one visit. He wasn't stingy with his time, and didn't make me feel like I could only ask advice for one issue when I've been having several health concerns. He is straightforward and technologically savvy, entering details of the visit directly into an electronic patient file and using Google to find information to share with me. I left with a printout of the information he wanted me to look into. Unlike other M.D.'s Dr. Giles is open to alternative ideas about healthcare. He encouraged me to consider a whole foods, plant-based diet to help with some systemic concerns I've had. Doctors hardly ever seem to "prescribe" a diet change unless it's for obesity or heart disease, etc. which aren't my issues. He recommended I watch a readily available documentary and an academic lecture on the subject and see what I thought. My one real gripe is that if you're going to suggest a huge diet change to a patient, it'd be good to give some specific advice about portions, recipes, etc. to get it going safely. I have been implementing his recommendations, but it's difficult without much information and/or guidance. Other than that, I'm happy to have found Dr. Giles.

I don't want an office that starts with horrible service and lack of communication. My children deserve a doctor and office that will be accurate in there care. Plus, the office is out dated and is unwelcoming. That's how you know they don't care for anything.

A Truly Exceptional Physician…read more It's not easy to find a doctor you can truly trust--someone who listens to you, genuinely cares about your well-being, and makes you feel like a person rather than just a number. Dr. Graham-Brock is that kind of physician. From my very first appointment, she demonstrated a spirit of excellence** in the care and service she provides. She goes above and beyond to ensure that her patients feel heard, respected, understood, and valued. Her level of care is truly rare and invaluable. Dr. Graham-Brock was attentive, professional, compassionate, understanding, respectful, and incredibly personable. What stood out most to me was the time she took to listen and engage with me as an individual. I also appreciated that she shared a little about herself. That personal touch immediately made me feel comfortable and helped establish a genuine sense of trust. I honestly wasn't expecting to leave every appointment feeling so impressed, comfortable, and reassured--but I did. I walked away feeling confident that I had found a physician who truly cares about her patients. I am incredibly grateful to have found my new primary care physician in Dr. Graham-Brock. I sincerely hope MPCP recognizes the tremendous value she brings to their organization and, most importantly, to the lives of her patients. I highly recommend Dr. Graham-Brock to anyone looking for a compassionate, knowledgeable, professional, and truly patient-centered physician. Her commitment to excellence and the way she treats her patients make her exceptional. Thank you, Dr. Graham-Brock, for making my every experience with you such a positive and reassuring one.

I arrived at 11:52 am for my noon appointment and I am still sitting in the exam room at 2:00 PM waiting to see the doctor. At no time did anyone come into the exam room to apologize or explain Dr Takem has been held up by a difficult case. If this wasn't for an urgent medical issue, I would have walked out. Update: I decided to leave around 2:10 PM. I went to the front desk to reschedule for an early morning appointment so that I will be sure to be seen at a reasonable time. Today is June 7 and their next available is not until the end of July. I stated before this is an urgent health matter so I had no other choice but to turn around and come back to the exam room to wait. He is a good doctor, but it appears that they are scheduling patients on top of each other and it's unprofessional.
