All three of my children have been patients from birth to the age of twenty- one. My son still goes there because he is not twenty one yet. They saw Dr. Jackie Gillard and Nurse Practitioner Luciano, and both always provided excellent service. Two of my kids were premature and Dr. Gillard made sure they received great medical attention, and when my daughter's became teenagers they would see Nurse Practitioner Luciano. I highly recommend this pediatric group because they truly care about their patients. read more

As a healthcare provider who is employed at both The University of Maryland and Johns Hopkins institutions, I have had many interactions with many providers and there is no better pediatrician than Dr. Aliabadi. He makes sound decisions with explanation and does not just give in to what a patient may think is the best care but is reasonable to listen and we trust his decisions. He has cared for both of my daughters for their entire lives. In today's healthcare system it is nearly impossible to keep a consistent healthcare provider and especially someone as caring and available as Dr. Aliabadi. More than 5 stars... read more

After 15 yrs of taking my family to The Pediatric Group & never had I felt so scammed! It's Flu season & I called the night before at around 5:30lm to make an appointment for my child the next morning at 11:30am. I called & canceled my appointment at 10:18am the next day to find out by mail that I owe a charge for canceling before a 24ht period. It was less than 15hrs between the time I made the appointment to the actual appointment time! let's not fail to mention the receptionist also never told me I would still be responsible for a co-pay if I canceled. Very let down and feel taken advantage of. read more

Dr. Davis is the Heathcliff Huxtable of pediatricians! We owe him soooo much for his enduring patience, geniune concern, and great bedside manner. He's treated both our children for years and we couldn't have been more fortunate than to find him. Thanks Dr. Davis! read more

Dr. Craytonia Davis is an AWESOME doctor. He has been my daughters doctor for several years and I swear by him. He takes the time needed in order to make you feel adequately cared for, he has no problem answering any of your questions and he is funny. He's hilarious when dealing with the children to make them feel comfortable and not afraid of the whole doctors office experience. The staff in the facility if VERY friendly and everyone makes you feel right at home. The facility is clean and bright and colorful its always fun to go to the doctor here. My daughter never minds going to see Dr. Davis. I will definitely comtinue taking my daughter here and any future children that I decide to have. Awesome, Awesome place! read more

I've been attending this office for several years. I attempted to bring my daughter in for a minor appointment today. I waited for 45 minutes without being seen again. This has happened repeatedly over the years. I've also seen several different doctors over the years. That seems very odd. How is it that they are unable to keep doctors? I have decided to find another pediatrician or pediatric group who won't just value money but actually care about their patients and stay on time. read more

My family has been using Crofton Pediatrics, particularly Dr. Davis for the last 7 years. As wonderful of a provider that Dr. Davis is, the service at this practice has steadily declined over the last two years. The wait times for scheduled visits are RIDICULOUS! Can you imagine how stressful it is in a boring waiting room for upwards of an hour with two antsy children?? The office could seriously use an update. The only thing that have to keep children occupied while waiting is a DVD system (that is not playing half of the time) in the main waiting rooms and old tattered books in the private rooms. At my kids most recent well visit we were advised at check-in that their pediatrician had an emergency and we were switched to another provider. While I understand emergencies happen, I would have loved to have been informed of this in advance, especially because I was informed that he had been out for a while, and given the option to either reschedule or choose whom I wanted to perform their check-up. The last straw was an issue with getting an ordinary health inventory form completed. I dropped the form off on 7/3 and called to check on 7/18 and they hadn't even started on it! the woman at the office was rude and dismissive. She acted as if *I* was being ridiculous for expecting simple paperwork to be turned around within a reasonable amount of time. I called back today, 7/20, and they are STILL NOT DONE. What is crazy to me is that they charge a $10 fee to have paperwork filled out and can't even get it done in a reasonable amount of time. I asked the customer service rep if there was a way that I could file an official complaint and she informed me that I could MAIL a letter to their complaint department. No email, no phone number, but go out and buy a stamp and send it in via snail mail. No thanks, I'll just blast you on social media. :) read more

My kids have been coming here for about 6 years and i love it... of course SOMETIMES there are longer wait times but that's anywhere. My son sees Dr. Davis and hands down he is the best Dr. he knows when to play with the kids and when to be serious he's very informative and even explains things to my son so that he will understand I've never had an issue with Dr. Davis... my daughter sees nurse practitioner Brooke and my daughter loves her she as well is very good with children she is very good also explaining things to children my daughter always reminds me that HER DR said she has to drink 8 cups of water everyday!! Thank you to the entire staff!! read more

We have been coming to the Crofton office since my daughter was born 7 years ago. We initially saw Dr. Davis who is wonderful! We then started seeing Dr. Aliabadi due to having several walk in sick visits (offered every morning during the week...amazing!) because he was so familiar with what was happening with her. He is also wonderful and busy because of it! Recently we started seeing the nurse practitioner, Brooke. We ended up seeing her because I waited way too long to schedule a well visit and we needed a certain day. We are SOOOOO happy with her! The wait time is non-existent and she spends ample time with us. My daughter gets super anxious about blood work and shots. Her nurses handled her meltdown with care and without judgement. We saw Brooke again today for a same day sick appointment and were just as pleased! read more

So we stuck with them but have finally decided to leave. They have started this new practice of having care teams. Best as I can figure its a way of billing insurance more while providing less Service. Thankfully we were able to locate our former doctor who left this practice years ago. This is a business that happens to be in health care; not a health care provider that happens to be in business. Used to be good but the focus is on money, not on customer Service. They have a lot of turnover. We've lost three of our doctors who have told us they no longer like working there. It's all about the money. read more

We have been here for 2 hours and haven't been seen by a doctor. My daughter had what looks like an allergic reaction, the prescribed allergy medicine is not helping my 4 year old. It seems to be making her miserable and drowsy. read more

The Pediatric Group - Crofton Pediatrics - Pediatricians Near Me - Crofton, Maryland

With children spaced a bit apart, we've been patients for years and years from infancy through teenage years. Kid friendly waiting rooms. Calls quickly answered. Adequate examination time. No real complaints about overbooking - generally seen quickly, though mild wait times may arise. However, on the flip side if your child needs an appointment they'll fit you in and I really appreciate that. I've had excellent, superb providers for a good number of those years but unfortunately the practice seems to have pushed out multiple good doctors & nurse practitioners recently. We've had to start all over with a new provider at the practice only to have that provider leave, then the replacement leave, etc... I'm not sure of the reason for turn-over. I'm also dissatisfied with the way the practice handled these departures. I realize the practice wants to keep its customer base but I strongly would have preferred some notice and frankly if certain providers are the reason patients use a particular practice, keep the providers if you want to keep the patients. The practice flat out refused to give contact info for the departing providers though a patient should have the right to select a provider of their own choosing and follow a doctor if they care to. read more

I have been going here and had change my sons doctor twice because seems like doctors and the nurses dont know how to wash their hands befre they exam my son I cant believe im the only one who has that problem read more

My daughter sees Dr. Davis and we love him!

Every time I go there I have to wait with my little baby... The check up and shots houldnt take 2 hours when you only spend 5 minutes with the doctor and minute and a half for shots. Instead of taking care of one patient and getting yo out of there quickly they go around between 2 other patients and its not fair for the ones whose appointment was first. Also, when my baby was only few weeks old, they had to take the blood from his heel. The tech. gave a warm bag to put it on his heel to get the blood flowing, then she left for 45 minutes, when she came back the bag and my baby were already cold!!! I was pissed! Going to find new place, its a disaster to wait that long with a baby every time! read more

I love my kids doctors office. Its conveniently located on 301 in Gambrills. Everyone at this office is kind and energetic. Dr. Aliabadi is always a pleasure to see. Whenever I need an appointment, I am usually able to get one that same day if needed. They're open from as early as 7am until about 6pm. And if my sons doctor is not available, there is always another doctor in the office to fill in. We've been going to this office for about 3 years now. read more

HORRIBLE they billed me for seeing my daughter born at Anne Arundel because my pediatrician is not allowed to go. The charged hundred for a while 5 minutes with her and then proceeded to bill me when it should have been tricare. VERY glad I don't use them for my three children - they don't have their stuff together at all. read more

The doctors are really nice but the level of responsiveness has gone down dramatically. Over the past couple of years the receptionists have gone from friendly professionals to people who mumble, interrupt, don't know anything, show no iniative to help and just generally act rude. There are still some good ones but many just seem like random people off the street. Dr. Davis is really good with bedside manner but really bad (along with the rest of the office) with responsiveness. If you have a sick kid, you better plan on calling multiple times. If you need advice, forget about it. If you have a 9am appointment, you better block out your work calendar until noon because there's a good chance you'll be waiting a long time. Thanks a medical system where government is too involved, Doctors are under tremendous pressure and we can understand that our needs cannot always be met immediately. At the same time, there is a balance between maximizing revenue and keeping patience happy. If nothing other than for their own self-interest, the Pediatric Group should follow the Target model (big but still customer friendly) as opposed to the Costco one 'your already getting a good price so don't dare ask for good service'. read more

They denied seeing my son, an established patient, with an ear infection with a 103 degree fever, because they could not verify our ins. and I didn't pay them for the visit up-front, always paid promptly before, but didn't have the money at that moment. I asked them about their Hippocratic Oath and being a responsible doctor, and they told me that instructing me to go to the emergency room was being 'responsible.' We waited for hours at the emergency room, and it cost over $400. I've overheard their staff openly disrespectfully gossip about patients w/in earshot of other patients; unprofessional and inappropriate. Because of this experience, I absolutely do not recommend The Pediatric Group - Crofton Pediatrics. read more

Love Dr. Davis. Started with him 20 years ago with my son and daughter and now he sees my granddaughter. The kids and adults love him. My daughter even wrote a book about him. Love that he sees the young adults into their 20's. The office staff is always friendly and helpful. read more

I won't say entire Crofton pediatrics is bad but the nurse practioner that I was visited was very rude. Due to some reason we visited JOAN LEAHY C.P.N.P. I don't know why she was so angry with us ? She was behaving as though she was giving free service. Doesn't want to listen. Very hurry. She showed racism . Very bad experience . Never saw such a lady like that before. My son was very surprised at her behavior. read more

We selected Nurse Practitioner Melissa Zanlunghi to care for our two sons when we moved to the Crofton area from DC. She is absolutely fabulous. She listens to you without judgment and is open minded. What I really love is that she recommends holistic healing over pharmaceuticals where it makes sense. The office staff are very friendly (even when you come in late) and the office has separate waiting areas for well vs. sick children. This is huge. How many times have you gone into a doctors office and had to sit in a tiny waiting area with a bunch of sick people? Not here. While appointments are always required, I never had a problem getting one because they hold some times each day for sick appointments. They also have limited Saturday hours (mornings by appointment). read more

I agree with the last review. I called the doctor on call on a weekend for a refill of a prescription for my son's steroid medicine. He refused to fill the prescription because he hadn't seen him. He suggested i take him to nightmare pediatrics to be seen. Ironic since Dr. Graw also owns nightmare and the pediatric group. I'd rather take him to the emergency room, at least these people couldn't overcharge my insurance again for mediocre service. I think it's time to find another doctor for my children, I've finally had enough. read more

This place lost my daughters record on several occasions, and the staff was very unprofessional. I hope that anyone reading this review takes the time to look for an office that cares about the medical history of their child. read more

Love all the doctors and nurses we've worked with. Wait times have been ridiculous a few times, but then for sick kids we do always get in the day we call. Dr Gilliard has been wonderfully helpful to us for years. Do wish they would do fresh paint and ceiling tiles, really really scrub baseboards please. Also tired of walking in with sick baby in carrier and tired preschooler and having to put everything down to fish out license and insurance card for the ten thousandth time (or nearly!). Every other healthcare provider in the area asks if there is an insurance update and accepts your word word for it. Honestly, unless this practice has been swindled out of thousands of dollars, there is no more excuse. License....ok ok, you want to know if we are the parents/guardians we say we are, but then it's not as if the license lists our kids' names.... read more

Can't say enough wonderful things about this practice, especially Dr. Aliabadi. He is efficient, caring and has helped my children through both major and minor health issues. Had a problem with billing in the past, but appears to be fixed. Great experience for the 14 years we've used this practice! read more

I have been with this practice for over 10 years. Dr. Gilliard is our doctor. Scheduling to get an appointment is good but once you get to the appointment be prepared to spend at least and hour if not 2 waiting to see the doctor. I think they over book which isn't good in a doctor's office in my opinion especially if you have a sick child. Our doctor is a great doctor and I have 2 children going to him now. I live in Crofton so this is a good spot for me. They seem to be pretty full with new people coming all the time. If you have another option with less customers coming on top of each other I would try that out. My kids are use to the doctor so I can't switch. read more

The service at the front desk would be better if personal of confidential information like the reason for the follow up appt. is not asked in front of others patients. Also to avoid personal or extended conversations with patients will accelerate the check out process and to provide a better service. This is my personal experience with one particular person at the front desk. I want to mention that in general the young ladies that work there are very professional and friendly. read more

We use both the Crofton office and the Davisonville office as we have three children and since Dr. Nguyen left we have never been assigned a new physician. We are forced to see a new doctor every time. They are ok when you are sick with walk ins but for well visits this is the worst - they refuse to allow all three children to have appointments on the same day no matter how long you book in advance - an internal policy of the doctors. When you are driving over an hour to get there and taking off work to accommodate their schedules for the well visits then it seems an extreme policy. Derek, the young man who books over the phone is rude and sarcastic in his questioning. I would switch but I bet they will charge me for copies of the children's records. read more

I absolutely love the Davidsonville location. My children have seen Dr M, Syed and recently Dr Cassie and all three have been amazing to them. The location is really wonderful too with cows nearby, peacock cage and a train that travels through all the rooms making it a little whimsical. The Crofton location, however, has always been a nightmare. It is just a cold, average building and every time I have made an appointment there, I have waited at least an hour. Last week, both my boys had annual check ups. One was at the Crofton location and the other was at the Davidsonville location. My son was seen by an RN (I don't remember her name) at the Crofton appointment and she made it very uncomfortable. She explained, in detail, to my 7 year old how she had to pull his pants down by law and touch his genitals. It is something that is done every appointment, but in the past it was always done while they were laying down and very quickly. She made such an issue about it that he was in tears and backed against the wall. I'm not exaggerating. It was horrible. My other son was seen by Dr. Cassie at the Davidsonville location and it was a dream. She asked insightful questions and was extremely sweet to my son. When it was time for his examination, he was laying down and it was no big deal. No drama at all. read more

I waited here for about 40 minutes for a prenatal visit to decide whether to choose this office as my pediatrician. I had only anticipated to ask 5 minutes worth of questions and be out, but after 30 minutes of waiting I became frustrated since I only had an hour before my next appointment. After the 30 minute wait, the front desk informed me it would be an additional 5 minutes wait. So I waited and when the 5 minutes passed I asked again to which they told me it would be another 5 minutes (but that would depend on how fast they could go). I just didn't understand, I booked this appointment over 3 weeks ago and it was supposed to be a quick appointment to ask about the facility. If this is their business model, I don't want to be a part of it. You don't treat customers that way and I could only imagine how upset I would have been if I had a newborn. I also saw other families waiting for a long time that were there when I got there so I'm guessing that is something that is routine. Nope not for me. read more

I was referred to Dr. Gilliard by a friend when our original pediatrician left our previous practice. He was very thorough for the well child visit for both of my girls (ages 5 & 7). When it came to my oldest coming down with strep throat, it was all down hill from there. My daughter was seen the first day & a strep test came back negative. No medication was prescribed at all, even though my daughter had had a fever, cold symptoms, and a sore throat. When I called the next morning to inform the doctor that she was getting worse, no one ever returned my call. It took three calls until a nurse told me that she would have to be seen again. I insisted they see her again late that afternoon. Dr. Gilliard came into the room and basically did not seem to care. He continued to say that he could not prescribe anything unless your culture came back positive. Well guess what!!!!!! The one they did that afternoon came back positive, and we got a prescription. After all that, we also got charged another $100 for the second days visit. I will not be returning to this practice if this is the way they operate. Total lack of concern for the sick patient. I would rather take my children to Righttime Care Center. read more
