Fries were just okay. The fries were barely touched. The chicken tenders were devoured. The crab dip Not at all what we remembered it being. Instead of tiny chunks of crab meat, it had chunks of cauliflower. My husband and I felt deceived when we thought we were about to bite into a delicious chunk of crab only to bite into a firm piece of cauliflower. We don't remember cauliflower being in the dip last year. It changed the flavor profile of the dip. We didn't get any bites of crab in the dip. We weren't about to complain since it was being comped. The service DISAPPOINTING. Our server pretty much gave up even trying to provide a pleasant experience once the missing appetizer was mentioned. The manager did come over and apologize and even offered to comp the appetizer. We didn't see much of our server after that. We had to flag her down to get her attention for a drink refill. Once we were finished with our meals, we couldn't locate our server. After seeing us looking defeated and frustrated, the bartender came over to check on us. We explained that we just wanted to pay for our food and leave. She apologized and went to get our check. The manager made her way over and apologized again. She even offered to send us with a complimentary dessert to go to make up for the terrible experience. I really wish that we had passed on the dessert because our server wasn't around to bring it out to us. It was like she was intentionally avoiding us. We were in no way rude to her. I'm baffled by her behavior. You would think that after an honest mistake was made she would do her best to make the rest of our experience better. The manager ended up checking on us yet again after noticing that we were still there... waiting for our beignets. She apologized again and made sure that our beignets were brought out to us shortly after that. Overall experience DISAPPOINTING!!! I was tempted to give this place only one star due to the poor service, but to be fair, the food is good and the manager did do her best to make it right. I respect her efforts. We were immediately greeted by the server and seated just as quickly. The place was pretty busy, as one would expect on a Saturday at 6 pm, so it was great to be seated right away. The table was already set with two water cups, two plates, two sets of silverware, and two napkins, so we didn't have to set the area ourselves. Our server came shortly after with a large glass bottle of water and took our drink orders. My girlfriend got a bottled Dr. Pepper while I stuck to water. I also noticed they serve plenty of wines as well as a good selection of craft beers. They have ten different specialty pizzas, and we settled on their most expensive: the Carnivore. I say most expensive, but it was $20 for a pizza that fed two. It took about 10-15 minutes before the pizza came out, which is impressively fast. All pizzas are about 12 inches and are sliced into sixes. If you're hungry, consider an appetizer or a dessert, but to us, it was a perfect size with plenty of meat. The crust is thin and crispy, as one would expect from a wood-fire pizza. It was really excellent. For dessert, my girlfriend and I ordered their Saturday Morning Cartoons, which is a panna cotta with Fruity Pebbles that I enjoyed but she adored (I let her eat most of it). All in all, the meal was around $30 plus the tip I added. We were in and out in under 40 minutes, which was quite impressive for a sit-down pizza restaurant.
