This is the best kept secret in Abilene! They have a relaxing atmosphere, friendly (family-oriented) staff with great service and their selection of wine and food is awesome. They host comedy clubs, trivia nights and other fun events to include local artists and food trucks.

This place has the best staff and atmosphere. I can't wait to go back and get another bottle of wine. The desert wines and moscato are my absolute favorites.

Delightful place in the dead of winter! Can't wait to come back when it warms up. Right on the creek so lots of ambience. Lacie (sp?) said I could taste until I find what I liked. I tried a white first although reds are my favorite. Their Viognier is a delicious surprise! Fruit forward but not sweet. The Barbera is made from grapes grown in Abilene. Who knew? Good, but I went with Coexist made from Italian grapes. Yum! And my "small" Cheese &salami platter was very generous. Will definitely be back. Try out this hidden gem off Treadaway!

Wine Tasting

Good wine, location and service. Nice seating area outside to relax and enjoy a glass (or two).

Winery patio. Love this place

So the other guys are right. This place rocks, if you are looking for a quiet, relaxing time. I dont even drink wine. Went in and Brittany helped us. She explained everything so the 4 of us did the wine sampler thing. You try 5 different wines of your choice for $4. Found one we liked so we bought a bottle and added a sausage cheese platter. Wine, food, and music was absolutely great. We kicked back and had a great time. The outdoor patio is beautiful and sits on a creek that actually had water in it! Had such a good time we're taking friends back Valentines night. See you there? Oh yah, I drink wine now!

Come here for the patio and the special events they have with Gypsy Blu food truck and Vagabond Pizza. The cheese plate on the wine menus is also a great choice if no food trucks are around. I really appreciate how helpful the staff is in helping you choose a bottle or glass of wine. However, almost all of the wines are sweet! Very sweet. Pucker your lips sweet. The flavor combinations are, how should I say it...interesting? The best choice on the menu is the white cranberry but they have been sold out of it the last two times I have been there. If there were more dry varieties, I would def come more often. A pinot noir on their creek side patio would make for a great day.

I've been trying and trying to get into wine for some time but could never find a wine that tasted as good as it smelled to me. Fast forward several years later and I stumbled upon The Winery at Willow Creek. When I first came in on a Saturday afternoon it was pretty slow. I got a moment to talk with one of the employees about how I've been wanting to like wine and thought I'd give there there selection a shot. She was extremely helpful and eager to help me find something I might enjoy. I went for there tasting sampler; 5 wines for $4. $5 if you want to try a Port. Out of the five I tried the Dragonfruit Raspberry was definitely a winner. So much so that I took a bottle home with me. Needless to say, it was so satisfying finding a wine I actually enjoyed. The following Friday, which happens to be today, my husband and I went back to check out their music and food truck event. It was so busy! And rightfully so! The music was excellent, the food truck was kicking out good grub, and people were just downright enjoying the company of one another while sipping their beverage of choice. We even brought our 16 months daughter along and she had a blast running around, watching the fish, and interacting with the other little ones who were there as well. We both got another set of tastings and got a cracker plate as well. The cracker plate was mostly good, we didn't really care for the hexagonal crackers they had. But that's just personal preference. We also found another wine we liked; the strawberry! We didn't pick up a bottle this time since were still working on the previous bottle. But once that one's out we'll be get another. And just like my visit a week prior the employees were helpful, friendly and polite! I highly recommend this place to anyone who may be looking to find a wine they might like while not really having a palette for the wines you typically have access to. The events they host are a blast and can be enjoyed by anyone!

Being the most Interesting Man in Abilene, I wanted to let you all know: I don't always drink beer sometimes I taste wine. The Winery at Willow Creek is something new in Abilene Texas and something you might not expect to find, a Micro Winery! Yeah that's what they do they ferment, bottle & sell their own brand of wine. If you are looking for something new unique or different to do in Abilene stop give it a try.

This is one of my favorite places to come back to in Abilene. The wines are incredible. You have a wide variety to choose from that will satisfy your preference whether it's red, white, rosé, sweet, dry, or something you didn't know existed but absolutely need it now. You can also pick 5 wines from their list for a wine tasting. Cheese boards, crackers with cream cheese, and pretzels are additional options to have with your wine.

One of my favorites!

One of my new favorite spots in Abilene! Fantastic wines, yummy food, and a few nights a week they bring in food trucks and have live music (Tuesdays is The Smokery, Thursdays is Vagabond Pizza). They also have a good appetizer menu, and cupcakes! The Blackberry wine and the Pomegranate wines are probably my favorites, but they always have something new in the works. Highly recommend checking out the Winery, it feels like a little vacation!

Awesome wine and light food!

Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. I expected a little more of the wine, but for Abilene it was great.

Almost a whole in the wall kind of place but that not fully. It's actually a big place inside with more additions and expansions taking place in the coming months within the building space according to co-owner Ronald Poston. This place is all decked out in biking decor and garb, really cool to be honest. From floor to ceiling its got swag from Viking/Norsk lineage and history/culture all over. He sells tons of this stuff every month as well aside from his mead business. Ronald is a character let me tell you. He is the kind of guy I could talk to for hours about mead making, life, family, struggles, anything. He is just a very open and kind guy who also makes darn good mead (a "mazer" is a mead maker FYI). Ron told me his goal there is to be a 100% judgement-free place where anyone and everyone can come in, grab a bottle off tap (3 at any one time), or one of 15+ flavors of mead by the 12 oz bottle. He makes 54 different flavors of mead mind you! I sampled 5 small shots worth at his tasting table while we spoke about the business. I then bought 5 more bottles myself to try later on. He even was kind enough to toss in (for free) a special not yet released 8 oz Jalapeno mead which turned out to be absolutely awesome in my book. Nothing quite like it. Ron is part mad-scientist, but also an artist in his unique craft of mead production and experience. Mind you that mead is not like beer or wine! It is distinctly different and that being said, mead often is something that nonbeer and wine drinkers get into. Liking one or the other does not mean you will like mead, it does not mean you will hate it either, just don't make assumptions until you try it. Ronald is making things in the most traditional manner possible, no sulfites, preservatives, no filtering or anything of that nature. He keeps his product as natural and authentic to tradition as possible. The ABV range in his mead is 13-18% so he usually does not force anymore than half a bottle on any of his customers given the strength of just 1 small bottle. He even told me his goal is to offer a memorable and pleasing experience with great-tasting mead as part of it, not to get people trashed and suck them dry of cash. That statement rang out to me, this is a guy who cares about his business his product, and his people. Impressive! He and his wife have an amazing background academically and professionally, but also the timeline in how they got to where they are now. I will not spoil that story but you gotta ask Ron to tell it, its a goodie!
