Escape has gifts and home decor items that are handmade from throughout the United States, representing 300+ artisans. Some of the items include light fixtures, baskets, cutting boards, jewelry, blown glass items, pottery, mixed media wall art, outdoor metal art and chimes. Escape had some very striking pieces and purchases appear to be unique, one-of-a-kind ones. At this juncture, I did not plan to spend another dime in Georgetown and after our lengthy stay, I was ready to exit stage left. Well Dixie had other plans. I looked at the neck and side seams and couldn't find a care tag. I washed cold/cold on delicate and hung it straight out of the washer. I saw it had shrunk so much, but I was able to stretch it (it was make of crinkly material) after I put it on, and was able to wear it but it ripped up the back seam the first time I wore it after washing it once. I wasn't even aware there was a back seam (bad place for one, IMO) - and that's when I found the care tag - DRY CLEAN!!!! Not sure why it shrunk so much since I washed it on delicate and with cold water. Just be sure to check your tags. I wish I had. I typically won't buy anything if it's dry clean only, but who would ever think a swimsuit cover up would be dry clean only?
