Rafael and his crew are top notch! This is my first review, and I usually don't write reviews, but I have to let everyone know how good Pride Roofing is. I was in need of a new roof for an old Victorian house in San Francisco. The job was a big one. I called several of the big roofing companies and stumbled upon Pride Roofing because of the 5-star reviews on Yelp. Rafael answered the phone himself, and right away. Came out within a week to look at the roof and gave me an estimate within 2 days. I was impressed with his professionalism and knowledge right away. I still did the due diligence to get other bids. While some were more expensive, and some were cheaper, in the end I went with Rafael, and he did not disappoint! The job took a little over a week, and I am so so happy with the results. The crew worked hard and cleaned up every night. Rafael kept me apprised of the progress, sent me photos of the job on a regular basis, and delivered what he promised, plus extra! He painted some of the new spots on the house, where new siding had to be replaced, and upgraded my skylights on his own dime, and found some dry rot that he fixed, which he did not charge me extra for. I know a roofing job is a big investment, and it's not every day you need a new roof, but I would call Pride Roofing again in a heartbeat, and will recommend them to everyone I know who needs a roof in the SF Bay Area. Pride roofing came in and did a great job on a kind of difficult flat roofdeck. They were professional and reliable and did top notch work. The roof had extensive structure damage from sustained leakage from a previous roofing job. Pride did a great deal of reframing of areas with hidden structural damage. When I offered to pay extra for that Rafael said that they expected that and there was no need. Pride is a great local company who did a complicated job for a very reasonable price. read more

Raphael and his crew re-roofed the peaked portion of our roof in summer of 2021. He had to work in cooperation with our solar panel installation company so that after tearing off the old roof, he allowed time for them to install the mounts for the panels, after which he sealed around them in the process of completing the roofing job. He improved the drainage levels in several areas so that no pooling would occur. His workers were neat and efficient. Raphael was very responsive to our needs and questions. Pride Roofing was fantastic! We had a leaky skylight at our new home. With all the recent storms, having a roofer come out to inspect and quote was nearly impossible especially for a smaller project. I called Rafael and he immediately picked up and agreed to meet at noon. After a quick inspection, he gave us a very competitive quote. I was skeptical of the 5*'s that this firm has gotten as sometimes these ratings can be falsely inflated. However, after having our entire roof redone by Rafael (Pride Roofing's owner) I can attest that the 5* reviews are definitely real as I am also rating them with 5*'s. As at least one other reviewer remarked it was shocking that Rafael picked up our call immediately. Better yet he was willing to come by the following day to inspect the roof for an estimate. We asked two other roofing firms to give estimates: The first one asked alot more than Rafael and the other one never bothered to furnish an estimate at all. Our roof was done by another firm years ago, and it was shoddily done. Thus, it was like starting anew. No matter, Rafael (and his crew) took his time to do the work well and even asked whether we wanted to replace the gutters, downspout, and chimney cap in copper (at additional cost). He was easy to work with, you could ask him any and all types of questions which he'd answer without being condescending and swell-headed as oftentimes is the case... And he completely knew the job at hand so would advise you as to the best way to go. They will also work on Saturdays if necessary to have the job completed timely. In fact, they still have to return in a couple of weeks to replace a skylight (on order) that was too ancient and touch up with paint the stucco for the tiles. Highly recommend Rafael and Pride Roofing if you want an honest, hardworking roofing contractor who will do what he can to make your roof its best at a more than fair cost. read more

My husband and I were extremely impressed with Pride Roofing's great customer service, quality workmanship, and attention-to-detail. After leaving voicemails with multiple roofing companies, I was shocked when Rafael picked up his phone immediately when I called. I explained that we needed patching and repair to the small section of roof that sits below a rooftop deck, which was in the midst of being demolished and rebuilt. We had a tight timeline for completion, so he offered to come by for an estimate the next day. In addition to surveying the roof, Rafael also made suggestions for replacing the gutters and relocating a downspout, plus he gave me an estimate on the spot. When he confirmed that he could complete the work that same weekend, we were sold. The work was done in less than 48 hours from our initial meeting, despite the fact that what we all thought would be a half day's work then turned into a full day. Rafael and his crew uncovered several layers of shingles and rotted out plywood, plus a skylight that we didn't know even existed. We were given the option of fixing what we had agreed to vs. stripping everything at an additional cost. We chose to get the job done right and the crew got it all done that same day. They kept the completed sections of our new deck meticulously clean and even swept our garage and driveway. Rafael is amazing! I had a faulty gutter that needed replacement. Had tried calling a few other gutter and roofing companies and they were too busy to even respond. Rafael responded immediately, was at my place within an hour to give me an estimate, and gave me an appointment for the next day. He went and purchased the replacement gutter from Home Depot the night before, and even gave me a couple of options with his own recommendations.
