I stopped in here on Sunday morning during the big shopping rush. Despite the crowd, everything was well-stocked and the place was relatively clean. The selection of products isn't quite the variety of some of the main Price Choppers, and this location is a little on the older side. The layout isn't quite as organized as some of the other newer Price Choppers. Some employees were out stocking the shelves, keeping up with the flow, but it was impossible to find employees working the floor and the lines in places such as the deli were enormous and delayed. The sales tax in PA is 6%, as opposed to NY's skyrocketing tax rates. This is conveniently located just next to the state line, and is cheaper than buying in NY. For those NY residents who happen to be in the area, it's a cost savings to stop in NJ and fill up your tank with cheaper gas, and stop into PA (right down the road) to shop here for cheaper groceries. I'll be shopping elsewhere for deli.. I've never complained twice about the same place but I had to. Cutting ass ends of roast beef (all brown trash), bologna cut like liver-worst, and a 20 minute wait time for making the order and another 20 while watching it get done.. all while the manager stands in the back not helping the new girl.. who has no idea what she is doing (felt a little bad for her) . On Sunday at 5 p.m. I was looking for fried chicken from the deli. There were only several roasted chickens available. I approached a young woman who I believe is named Jade and asked if there would be any more fried chicken coming out today. She walked over and spoke to a male fellow employee and came back and told me there would be no more fried chicken coming out. I went and sat with my husband who was drinking a beer. I smelled fried chicken aroma in the air. A few minutes later, he went to the same employee and inquired about fried chicken. This employee gave him an eight piece container of freshly made fried chicken. Why did she tell me one thing and then give my husband chicken? Totally bizarre experience. read more

Absolutely loved my experience here. It's such a nice clean store. Everything is displayed beautifully. It was so much easier to navigate than the other grocery store down the road. Had a wonderful experience at checkout. We have switched to here for our weekly grocery shopping. read more

Self checkout is disgusting, dried blood etc on the scanner. It's obvious I noticed it quickly. The employees are not in the game.

This rating is only for the deli experience. Ordered prosciutto di parma today to serve with melon tonight. Maybe he didn't know that he had to, but the deli man didn't remove the skin before slicing, so I had to cut it off of each slice. One holiday I had ordered a fruit platter there. Well the platter turned bad in one day & it wasn't cheap - I went back and they replaced it. But it was never again. You can get some good deals there on food. But some things that they offer are kind of pricey. read more

Purchased a package of ribs on January 20th. Went to cook them on the 23rd and noticed the sell-by-date on the package of January 4th. Returned them to the store. Treated very poorly like its my fault for buying rotten meat. Very poor customer service. Not a manager in site. Let the buyer beware---check the dates on everything. read more

Just had the fried chicken from Roy Rodgers. No way does it compare to PC. Price Chopper fried chicken is by far the best around. Moist & tender, just the right crunch and the best deal around. Why try the rest when pricechopper is the best in town. read more

This is a very clean and well organized supermarket. The key word here is supermarket! This is not a butcher or a bakery or the place to go to for all your party supplies. One goes to a supermarket for groceries, cleaning supplies and over-all convenience. The produce department has the best vegetables and fruit in town and the prices aren't too bad either considering there is no farmer's market around. The selection is huge and I have never had any problems with freshness. The bakery is fine but you have to keep in mind that this is a supermarket and if you want excellent baked goods you should go to a real bakery in town. But the products here are fresh and pretty tasty too. The meat department has a lot of good choices at very reasonable prices, but again, if you want excellent meat go to Prime Time Meats, a real butcher not too far away. When they run sales the prices are excellent, otherwise the pricing is right along the lines of any well maintained and spotless market around - especially considering that the nearest market worth going to is all the way in Lords Valley! The staff is friendly as well and move those lines along at a pretty good pace. read more

It is a pretty big supermarket and the prices are lower than in Shop Rite. Not very crowded.

I shop here often, because of how close it is to my home. But, I have become very disappointed. In the past they carried many name brand products, many premium. Now, you can't ever count on them to carry anything other than their own brands. Nor can you count that something, brand or product, will be here the next time you shop. It reminds me of the old A&P model, bait and switch. But, I am lazy, so I still go there. read more

This store would have gotten 4-5 stars because most of the staff there is great. The selections are really good with few exceptions but I REALLY have a problem with the deli Dept. Some of their staff are rude and disrespectful. My husband went there to get 4 things and they were so rude to him! He asked for cheese sliced thin and a woman told him" why don't you get it from that presliced stuff over there. I asked him to get the cheese sliced thin and when he requested that, she purposely sliced it thick and did not show him a sample first. My husband is an easy going guy and she is lucky it wasn't me there!! I am so annoyed with them. He felt like he needed to explain why he didn't get the pre sliced old stock that they put out! Better prices at Shop Rite in Port Jervis NY. Made the switch after consistently saving about $30 a trip vs Price Chopper.

Great store, but deli has no more premium products. But still priced as if it was tho... No more Boars head.. That's ok, I pass 6 tiny Deli's in 1 mile that have BH. on the way to price chopper. read more
