I'm an unfortunate soul who had to attend a beautiful Italian restaurant with a ban on wheat and dairy (think about it). I was pleasantly surprised by the options still open to me in this place. 3 of us ate here & we ordered prawns & an antipasto plate to start & share between us. The restaurant staff were wonderful & allowed us order drinks & starter while we were still deciding on mains. They took our main order as the starter arrived & it in no way slowed down the service overall. The prawns were delicious served in a tomato based sauce with chillies & some greens etc. Delish! The Antipasto was lovely, parma ham was beautiful, the salami was beautiful, the salsiccia piccante not so much, but that may be a personal preference, i just feel like that meat tastes like plastic! The other girls enjoyed the mozzarella & olives too. For mains i had the Pollo e Spinachi (chicken & spinach salad). It was beautiful, came with some flatbread on the side too which i didn't eat but the salad was plenty filling on it's own, really fresh, the chicken was thinly sliced & well seasoned. We didn't have dessert but we made sure to wash our meal down with a large glass of Pino Grigio each which the restaurant staff didn't mind us lingering over whole we finished our chat. All round, excellent night! read more
