We thought a new alternator may be needed, but Bill ran some diagnostics and found that the battery was the culprit. Bill even offerred for AAA to come replace the battery at the shop, which they did. Even better, Bill did not charge us for the diagnostic service. I've been here many times for small car works such as oil change etc. Last 2 yeats ago my other car was totally give up on me not working at all It was dead .car was still looking good outside and inside. I was referred to Billy by the person who took care of my window repair next door. I have been here several times to get my oil changed and Billy and his staff (Nacho) have went above and beyond and given my car a thorough inspection. I've been going to Prevention Auto Care for as long as I can remember. Bill does amazing work and will tell you exactly what needs to be done on your car. He always says this is whats wrong with your car instead of saying that multiple things are wrong when only one thing is wrong. He is always upfront and honest in what he does. He doesn't give you the run around and doesn't try to screw you out of money. I've never had a problem with my car having a problem after the problem was fixed. The only problem I have is that when he says he will call you about your car to tell you whats wrong with it, but he doesn't call. You just have to know to call him the next day to find out what is wrong with the car. And you just have to know that if you want it fixed today then you have to stay at Prevention Auto Care until the car is fixed unless they can't fix it that day read more

I absolutely love working with bill every time I have to take my car in. I love the fact that he pretty much can fix any brand of car like my Porsche Boxster for example. He knows the little nuances to the car such as lifting this tiny little tab in the trunk no one knows about to fill the coolant straight to the motor or just to top off the resovoir. That's such a great convenience to me that he's competent not just with the regular toyotas and hondas, but the higher end vehicles as well. My husband and I were referred here by a smog shop nearby and it was just an awful experience. My husband was first told the problem was that he needed a new gas cap. Billy suggested we get it from the dealer- fine done. Not even a day goes by and the fuel cap light comes back on along with the check engine light. He takes it back to this shop. Billy said it's this other part and we say fine order it and let's get the car fixed. We get the car back AGAIN the fuel cap light and check engine light comes back on. I told my husband let's just take it to the dealer clearly this man can't find the correct problem and I'm getting tired of paying for things obviously the car doesn't need. My husband took the car to the dealer yesterday and they find the actual problem- a leak. The mechanic at the dealer said the "part" that was put in by Billy and his shop wasn't even needed. Had absolutely nothing to do with the cars issue. Billy had told my husband if he brought the report from the dealer he'd refund back the money we had spent on the useless part. My husband just left Billy's do you think gave him a refund. Nope of course not. Horrible experience. I will be going to the smog shop and suggest to him he probably shouldn't be referring his customers to a shop with a mechanic who clearly doesn't know what he's doing. read more
