Their pricing is consistently fair--better than any shop I've used before (even ChatGPT agreed when I compared estimates!). What really sets this place apart, though, is the honesty and genuine care they show their customers. I never felt pressured into unnecessary repairs, and they even gave me a discount without me asking. It's rare to find a shop that's both highly skilled and truly trustworthy. I'll definitely keep coming back.

I had another unrelated problem, took it here, and they replaced a part and I was on my way. Fast forward a couple weeks and the same issue came back. I took it back here and they reviewed everything again and did some more tests and ended up fixing another part because it's not a common thing, but for my car it's a common issue to throw a check engine light for one part but needing to replace another part as well. Instead of charging me for the service/diagnosis again like other shops or dealerships would do, Mike only charged me to replace the second part. More recently, I was installing a new aftermarket radio in my car and when I went to turn it on, I threw a check engine light/code and the car was struggling to crank. I towed it here and Mike and his team figured out the problem that same day. The issue wasn't anything crazy, it was because I forgot to plug in a certain part, which I thought only had to do with the a/c (stupid mistake on my end). Mike didn't charge me for the diagnosis, even though most shops would or they would make things up to charge you for it. This shop is very honest and has fair to good pricing. Very reliable and easy to work with. Definitely a lifetime customer.

Our family's Ford Explorer required a water pump replacement…read more I visited several local auto shops to obtain quotes and was shocked, disappointed, and discouraged at the prices I was being quoted for the work my vehicle required ($5,000-$7,500) Shame on me for not reading Yelp reviews before wasting my time visiting other auto shops. I read the many positive reviews for Hye-Tech Auto Repair and decided to visit them. Upon entering, I was greeted by John (owner) with a friendly, "Welcome, how may I help you?" I explained that my Ford Explorer needed a new water pump and a few other items that other auto shops had advised me would require repair or replacement. While John looked up a few items on the computer to provide me with a quote, he introduced me to his son, Harry, who happened to be in the office. Thirty seconds later, John provided a quote that was $3,500-$4,000 less than the other shops. I could not believe it. John explained that he makes his living and succeeds in his business through repeat customers, and he does not believe in gouging customers for every last penny. He also shared that when he retires, his son Harry will take over the business, and he wants to leave Harry with a solid foundation of loyal repeat customers. It was then that I knew I could trust John and his son Harry. John went on to explain that replacing the water pump on a Ford Explorer was a 10-12 hour job, as it was an internal pump requiring numerous engine parts to be removed to reach it. This was the same thing all the other shops advised me. John suggested that I leave my vehicle, and he would perform a full inspection of the engine and contact me before doing anything to it. I agreed and left my vehicle. The following day, I was contacted by John, who advised me that the water pump did indeed need to be replaced, as it was the source of the constant leaks of the water coolant. I left my vehicle in John's shop for three days. During this time, John or his son, Harry, contacted me numerous times to keep me updated on the progress of my vehicle and also to point out that mechanics had discovered two or three very inexpensive items (under $50.00) which they recommended replacing, which I agreed to have done. All in all, I was and am extremely impressed and satisfied with everything about this shop. I spent much less money to have five different issues repaired on my vehicle at Hye-Tech than what I was quoted to replace my water pump alone by every single shop I visited prior to coming to Hye-Tech. John and Harry are very friendly, honest, and trustworthy. They are also very knowledgeable and experienced, and they offer GREAT customer service and communication. This is my new go-to shop for any issues involving our family vehicles. Thank you, Hye-Tech Auto Repair, for a very positive experience.

It's nice to see you can get quotes at the touch of a button on your phone. This morning, I had time off, so I headed in to get my service done. I did not have an appointment and that did not seem to matter. I arrived first thing in the morning at 8 AM and ask if the service could be done. Harry was an exceptional young man, he took me in with no problems, no questions. He said they could do it this morning. I told him I would have to wait. He had no problem with that either. Prior to bring in the car in this morning, as I said, I used a yelp project and had several people reach out and give me quotes. After looking at all the yelp reviews I decided to give this place a try. I am super happy that I did. This place is a hidden gem, excellence, service, quality, and value for what you receive. There are not very many shops where you could feel comfortable and put your trust in them. As I spent time in the lobby, I was able to see customer service on the phone and customer service entering the facility. Every customer that walked in, seem satisfied and was treated with dignity and respect. I highly recommend this place if you have any automotive questions whatsoever.

They took over a week before they even started my car and I had to keep calling to check status. Once I finally got my car back the broke a coolant line and tried to seal it with a putty. Luckily I had just replaced it and had an extra on I ordered from Amazon so I replaced it myself. They told my to come back at 1500 to get first service, that was a mistake and shouldn't have gone back. They damaged a brand new cv axle I had just replaced a few weeks prior and told me they'd charge me 190 for a new one and then labor on top of that. I told them to put it back together and I'd replace it again as it was still under warranty, I just had to take it off. Which I am very mechanical inclined but I can't rebuild a transmission which is why I went there. So when I drove off I noticed some suspicious suspension noise, then I hit the brakes and my car started shaking real bad, now it didn't have that problem before I brought it to them. I took off my wheel and noticed the back end or the lower control arm was loose and not placed properly. So now I have to correct what they did, such a headache that I payed for. Stay away from these guys !

Not sure who I talked to but I think they were having a bad day and took it out on me. I was trying to get some information about potentially replacing my 2006 Honda Accord's heater core. I first asked if they do this service which they do. I don't say the year of the car yet...then he proceeds to tell me it's going to be "thousands of dollars." I say ok and "I'm just calling around to get some different prices to see if it's worth it for me to do this service, since the car is older." He says "it's not me to tell you if it is worth it or not that's up to you" yes that's why I am calling to see what my options are??? I've been trying to tell him the year, make and model this whole phone call and he keeps talking over me and assumes and says "well I can't just give you a price over the phone like $200 and then you're going to come in shop and expect that price, you need to come in so we can get the accurate price" so it went from thousands to $200? I know it wasn't going to be $200. I say "ok I would like to give you my year make and model now and if you could tell me a price range for my information." He says "$700" and I say "ok not too bad" but then berades me that is not the final price once again. Then he says it's $90 just to check if it's even the problem when I already know this is the problem because my trusted mechanic checked it. Otherwise I wouldn't have called here. That is ok with me that this business policy is to charge for this check, I just didn't appreciate that he was rude to me over the phone and assuming that I wanted an accurate estimate right then and there with no information about my car. Then the cherry on top of it all was not asking if I had any other questions, and hangs up on me. Based on this customer service alone it doesn't make me feel like this business is genuine and I will not be servicing my car here.

Since my truck was out of warranty, I wasn't sure where to turn. I reached out through Yelp and heard back from Ed almost immediately. He had a good idea of what might be wrong and invited me to bring the truck in for an assessment. After inspecting it, he identified damage (caused by rats) to the transmission wiring harness, which had unfortunately caused internal damage. He walked me through everything clearly and provided a very reasonable estimate for a full rebuild. Throughout the entire process, Ed was easy to communicate with, always professional, and genuinely helpful with his advice. What really stood out was how he went above and beyond after the repair. I was told this type damage might be covered under my comprehensive auto insurance. Ed then took the time to work directly with my insurance company--providing detailed documentation and expert insight. Because of his effort and experience, the claim was approved and the repair ended up being fully covered. That level of service is rare these days.
