Went to this place for about 3 years always had the mani-pedi that was around $60 when you get a pedicure they ask you what scent you want to use and this was free of charge and included. One day after I was finished the lady that owns the place came up to me and started yelling at me in front of everyone because I didn't leave a big enough tip I'm usually a good Tipper so I was confused. I discovered that for I don't know how long because I had stopped looking at my receipt I've been going for the same thing for so long now when they ask you what scent you like they change your pedicure to one that ends up costing $140 what a racket read more

I've never written a review in my entire life. I went in and asked for a full set with a gel French manicure. They told me I couldn't have French tip because my "mail beds were too short". I then decided on a light pink. I was then told to do dip because I wasn't planning to return to have a fill in 2 weeks. I agreed to do dip. They cut my nails way too short, Cut my cuticles and literally painted me skin on multiple fingers. Not to mention how crooked and bumpy the set was applied. I could have done a better job at home. After being charged $70 and leaving a tip, I walked out paying $85 for the worst manicure I've ever received. I went back in and told them I was unhappy and asked for it to be removed. The manager redid my nails and gave me what I asked for originally. She was very apologetic, but after 3 hrs at the salon she then charged me $20 more for the "updates". read more

long wait ... 2:00 appt and finally started my full set at 2:40. Tech kept getting up to check out customers etc which delayed the appt further. Asked several times to have the nails made more even because the lengths were al different and eventually gave up because I couldn't be there all day. read more

Horrible !! Never again powder gel is coming off within a hour of having my nails done .. My toenails are uneven ! Not worth the 105.00 they charged me ! read more

I used to come here about 3 years ago when Yugi was the manager and it was fabulous. I used the "points" and got free manicures every few months. Then she moved and a new group of men were managing the nail salon, and I didn't feel it was kept up, nor were they organized with walk-ins it appointments. Today I tried again- had a pedicure with Sam (he is new) who was carefully watched and tutored by Sandy, the manager. It was perfect. Relaxing , sweet people and nice pedicure. Now I'll be back!! Give this place a try - they are a family with children trying to make it in our country; so it's not one of those mills where they overwork the women who are managed by rude men ( like one nearby). read more

Pretty Nails and Spa - Dip manicure!! - Nail Salons Near Me - Niantic, Connecticut

Sandy did a very nice job. I am very happy with my manicure. I will definitely return.

I had a terrible experience at this nail salon. I was kept waiting. Once someone started with me, I had two other people finish up the work. One of the manicurists, gazing in the other direction, cut my finger while filing. I will not go back read more

I have been coming here for years. The service is wonderful and the pedicures are some of the best I've had. They take their time and insure that everything is done correctly. read more

I went here while visiting from out of state and I had never had powder dip for color so I decided to try it. It only lasted a few days and then one by one they started coming off like I had tips? Weird? Not good at all and it cost me much more than if I had done regular color polish... Since I am no longer in CT I cannot go there to have them repaired. Very disappointed... had a pedicure too and I did not think it was very good. read more

The staff is friendly and the place is clean. I've been here many times, and see whoever is available because everyone is terrific. The manicures and pedicures last long time. What separates this place from others is the little extras, like paraffin and shoulder massage. One time, my 92 year old mother had a broken nail. They actually came out to my car and fixed it, so we didn't have to come in. They always do a little more than is expected. Highly recommend. read more

went for the first time and was over charged for the service price I was quoted on the phone, and that was listed on price list on the wall. my nails are also uneven and crooked. never again. I'm will now get my fills elsewhere. read more

This place was amazing. I brought my mother-in-law in for a mani/pedi before my brother-in-law's wedding. She has Parkinson and cannot move around very well at all. The nail tech came outside to help us in, helped my MIL get settled. And on top of that they did a beautiful job to boot. Thank you! read more

Highly disappointed in this especially with their prices. They charged me over $50 for a gel nail fill n Polish. The man that works there did my nails. Very poor n sloppy n used a glob of gel about n inch thick. My nails were so uneven n lumpy. I was disgusted. I only went here bcuz it was close to my home n I had just moved into the area. NVR again. Ripoff. read more

I have been here 15 days ago .Polish not even not a professional service So slow.Avoid this place.never come back

I went in to get my uv gel nails removed and they were the only people to be honest with me and tell me that if I remove them I would damage my thin nails underneath. They filed them down and added new nail polish on them to make them look presentable while they grew out. I added a pedicure at the last minute forgetting the pants I was wearing were skinny jeans (not conducive to a pedicure) and they offered to have me change into a garment they use for the spa treatments they offer. They are very accommodating and helpful and I will be going back there from now on. read more

I totally agree with Roe! Leo does terrible nails. Definitely not worth $50 for a fill. I went here for a few months. Didn't last long. I work hard for my $ and I expect quality nails if I'm paying $50. Not going back. read more

Great experience and the customers are treated with genuine kindness and gratitude for their patronage! I'll be back and love the fact that there was relaxing music and a warm smile to welcome me. read more

First off, I've only had 3 manicures in my life, so I'm kind of a manicure rookie. I do a fair amount of yard work, work around horses mucking stalls, emptying water buckets, tossing around bales of hay, etc., so frequent manicures would be a waste of time and money. Nevertheless, I was attending a schmancy event a few months back and thought, well - what the heck? So, okay, maybe it was like putting lipstick on a pig, but I thought I'd give it another try after a disastrous experience at another nail salon in town the year before. Not knowing any better, I'd gotten a gel manicure at that place and didn't realize that that meant that I'd have to go back and have the stuff removed. I didn't do that, and after attempting to remove the stuff myself, I ended up with nails that were ruined. They peeled off in layers and wouldn't grow normally for several months. Needless to say, they looked and felt like crap. So, on the recommendation of a friend (who has since changed her mind about this place) I walked in with a song in my heart and asked for an eyebrow wax and a manicure. I very specifically said "I do NOT want a gel manicure." I enunciated this VERY clearly. So I picked out a color and got my manicure. I guess I should've been tipped off when the woman put my hands in the drying machine, but thought that this must be the way to quickly dry the polish. She was kind of sloppy about shaping the nails and applying the polish, and when she told me that I owed $45 my mouth dropped open. Looking at the board that had the prices posted, I thought that the most I would owe would be about $25-$30. (This was a few months ago, so I'm not 100% sure what the exact pricing should've been.) I asked why it was so much money, and she said, "Gel manicure. You got a gel manicure." I reiterated that I had been very clear about NOT wanting this, but she acted like a deer in the headlights. I didn't want to make a scene (now I wish I had) so I just paid the money and bolted. As I wasn't about to go back and pay to have them remove the stuff, I just let it wear off with time and a little sanding with a nail file. (Yes, I realize this cheesy fashion technique could be considered criminally offensive and stupid...) Be that as it may, my nails are now ruined again. Dried out, soft and bendy, peeling, and very, very sad. (I think I actually hear them weeping softly at night.) What's more is that my friend who used to go here says that they once gave her a used paper towel to clean her hands and that making an appointment ahead of time doesn't guarantee that you will not wait a considerable length of time, or get the person you requested - even though they assure you that the person will be available. Maybe not everyone gets this type of service, but at least now you are warned. read more
