First off, the cleaner had set my A/C to 55 and left it. 55 in the Texas summer! And mind you no one is currently living there, I had moved out. By the grace of god they did not break my A/C unit. Now onto the actual cleaning, they did not. My home was still dirty, the kitchen and bathrooms were not moped at all. They did not wipe down the walls. Only half the windows had been dusted or cleaned. Every single one of my ceiling fans was still dusty, and there were cobwebs still in the corners of the ceiling. The oven and oven hood still had grease on them. All of these are items on there checklist. To make matters worse they had charged me an additional 4 hours on top of the move out price. I called, and demanded either a reclean or a refund as there guarantee states they do. They said they would send someone out and they would be there between 2:30 and 3:30. At 4:00 no one had arrived. I called again and demanded a refund at this point and was told "We don't do that."... IT IS LITERALY STATED ON YOUR GUARANTEE! After arguing with them for hours the manager said to me "I can issue a refund for the additional 4 hours we charged you, but it will be coming out of my own paycheck." Yes they tried to guilt trip me after not doing the job I paid them for. Also Janeth if you are reading this and your boss did actually try to deduct that from your paycheck, go find a workers rights lawyer because that's illegal. To anyone thinking of hiring this service, DON'T! They are unprofessional, unqualified, rude and will at most break your A/C, and at least run up your electricity bill.

I had a conversation with Stacy about the smoke, prior to signing up for the job, she didn't say word about the possibility of extra charges because of smoke on the mirrors as I had purchased the "deep cleaning" level which literally means the job will require a deeper level of cleaning. I told her she was not authorized to use my card; she fraudulently used my card again to charge the extra money. I told her that was a crime, but she just told me to go ahead a report it because the card company will call her anyway. Stacy also tried to tell me that I told her she could charge whatever she wanted. No, I said that I didn't authorize the extra charge because if that were the case then she could just charge whatever they wanted instead of the agreed price. So, now I have to report her to BBB, the attorney general and everywhere else I need to. I went through the company called Thumbtack to find this housecleaner. This is only my experience, obviously, I can't speak for others. I will never trust Thumbtack again or Fresh Space Cleaning Services again.

I got a reasonable quote within hours and scheduled a deep clean the next morning. M&S set great expectations and even sent me their checklist. They arrived on time, and did absolutely everything agreed upon -- the upstairs carpets were thoroughly cleaned, and they wiped down every baseboard, every door, every shutter, and every photo in the house. I plan to use Mary & Sol at least once a year from now on. Absolutely incredible women and an unbelievable job done. Would 100% recommend.

My master bath shower pan was leaking causing me to have to replace the tub and separate shower insert at bare minimum. The bathroom was the one room in our new house that was not updated from previous owner, and our plan was to gut it and renovate it eventually. Now I was faced with the decision to go ahead and gut it and renovate the entire bathroom, or replace just the shower and bathtub in a 1980's style bathroom and have half the bathroom nice and new, other half 1980's... At the same time, my wife was bed ridden for 3 months pregnant with our twins, and had 3 weeks to go before our due date. This was a very hard decision. I decided to take a chance and renovate the bathroom (including relocating 2 drains in slab foundation). Craig came out and estimated the work, and I looked at him and said, I have to have this done before i bring home new twin babies in 3 weeks. He promised to get it done. I designed the bathroom and gave him all the requirements, he began immediately. We took it down to bare studs on all walls. My wife went into labor a week early. So Craig had to work over time with his crew to speed up the completion date. We came home with the babies the day they finished. Bathroom looks amazing (this was over a year ago, slow to writing this review) and we have had zero problems with it. Craig did a fantastic job and will be using him again for any construction needs. I highly recommend him.

This was a very bad experience. This granite/tile contractor was recommended by our general…read morecontractor who was doing other work at our house. The work we hired his company for was for granite countertops and tile backsplashes in the kitchen, two bathrooms and a laundry room. Even though we hired and paid this granite contractor directly (separately from the General Contractor), he would not deal with us, he would only deal with the general contractor. As a result, there was no communication from him if or when he'd be showing up to do the job. We first contacted this fellow on 8-8-14 and put a $2000 deposit down. He indicated that it would be about two weeks before he could come do the job. Two weeks went by and we never got any word from him if or when he was coming. He had our phone number since the first day. We called the general contractor to tell him that we had not heard from anyone from the granite/tile company and finally got a text message from the general contractor that this granite/tile contractor was coming on 8-26. They came and did the work late in the afternoon and only worked on the kitchen but did not finish the kitchen. However, the company owner did come to collect the rest of the money that day even though the job was not finished. We trusted him at this point. The tile guys did come back after Labor Day weekend and finished the kitchen but nothing else. After that we have tried again and again to get him to tell us when he's coming to do the bathrooms and laundry room. He said it would be about 2 weeks. We waited 3 more weeks and still a no show and no word from him. So we texted and we called and left a message asking for a day and time when the work will continue. After 3 attempts we have given up. We heard from the general contractor that "he was hospitalized, he's out of the hospital, he's still sick", "he's not responding to us", yet he's posting on Facebook about his great life, watching Cowboy games, having cookouts, drinking beer, getting married, how much he loves his new wife, etc. It's really hard to believe he's been ill. We have been lied to again and again and ignored again and again. There was a definite lack in quality as well. An excess of glue that was left by the installation of the bar counter caused the backsplash behind the sink to have an unsightly bulge after installation of the backsplash. The tile guys should not have left it like this but they did and we had to ask it to be redone by the tile guys and additional backsplash had to be purchased by us. Even worse, we have a very obvious seam where two pieces granite were joined right in the middle of a 3.5 foot stretch of countertop and the two granite pieces do not match very well at all making it very obvious that there is a seam right in the middle of our longest stretch of continuous countertop. A professional would not have installed it this way. Attention to detail was also lacking. Two of the kitchen outlet covers in the backsplash could not be properly screwed on -- they were loose because the tile backsplash interfered with the proper mounting of the outlet covers. As a result, we spent over 4 hours working on them so that the outlet covers would properly screw in. On one of them, we could not get a matching screw to screw into one of the holes in the GFCI outlet. We had to find another screw that would screw in and now one of the screws in that outlet is silver and it should be white. In addition, the granite installers left a gap between the granite of the bar and the wall. We had to fill it with caulk. The granite installers should not have left it like that but they did. Isn't this what we are paying THEM to do? Overall this company and particularly the owner, Craig Cumby, is unorganized, has very poor communications skills, has a very unprofessional attitude, very poor customer service, and the quality is very lacking and so is attention to detail. The overall job took much longer to complete because of this company. We were treated like an unimportant customer to him. Extremely so. At one point, I asked him if it would be better to hire another company and he responded that I have already partially paid for the remaining work to be done. Yet he's made no effort to do it. I do not understand. I would rather be told the truth than no response at all. It is now 10/12 and the work still is not done and I have not heard anything at all. At this point, I don't want this horrible man or any of his crew in my house. I am seething.
