Try the dolce a lata coffee here for a sweet treat that is high in calories but wonderful flavors. I appreciate the use of traditional expression machines Liz they have a beast dual unit that a good barista can leverage to put out a number of drinks quickly. We did come in fairly early in the day so the foot traffic was limited appreciated the break from tea. In my opinion better than Starbucks.

Finally, after dinner, my mother and I suggested that we have some coffee before heading home and by then, the cafe was much emptier. Actually, about two hours ago we had gone in and looked at what they had to offer - there were a couple of salad wraps that looks pretty good. When we were back after dinner, all the wraps had been sold out! Not that we would have wanted one anyway though - we were too full. Their cakes were surprisingly not too expensive. We got a blueberry cheesecake that was $28, and a mango pudding that for some reason was only $18! It wasn't super tiny, so I felt it was suspiciously cheap. We also got a medium hot latte to share. Both cakes were pretty good - I was skeptical about the mango pudding and thought that there would be something gravely wrong with it, but it was not bad at all - the pudding was nice and mango-ey. I liked the cheesecake better though; it was very creamy and light, and the mix of blueberry jam and blueberries on top was a nice complement to the cheesecake. My mother really liked the cheesecake and said that we should definitely get it it we are back the next time. Unfortunately, the latte was a bit of a let-down - it wasn't hot enough, and any coffee that is just merely warm is no good to me. If you're spending a day at the outlets, a coffee break really is necessary and Moccato is as good as it gets. There's a good variety of salads, like smoked salmon and roast chicken, and the wraps looked great too. The cakes are great, and inexpensive too compared to other cafés, and it was just a pity that the coffee wasn't served hot enough. Don't give Moccato a miss if you're here - your tired, all-shopped-out legs, and your taste buds (and your wallet if you're getting a cake!) will thank you!

It was better than Thai durian though still not that strong. Using local milk seems to have lightened the flavour. Cheese was good. The custard had a very rich & savoury cheese taste with a salty-sweet flavour profile. The cheese was so rich, the richness of the crust didn't matter.

It looked really empty when we looked up, but when we showed up, it was actually pretty busy. I wasn't sure how my daughter was going to behave since she's been stuck on a plane for a few hours so I decided to just order our food to go. I got the sausage on a stick with fries and added a drink for my daughter. My daughter really liked the fries, but I didn't get any pictures. However, I think there was probably about a dozen pieces of fries in that box. I'm not over exaggerating! The sausage was actually pretty good, but seemed kind of dry like it's been roasting for a few hours, not made to order. I got the lychee passion fruit drink, which they usually use soda to make, but they were kind enough to substitute it with regular juice since I don't like to give my daughter soda. It's a cute place, the food is decent and service is friendly.

For a good decade and then some, this place was complete chaos: long lines, service mishaps, and inconsistent food. SInce the self order kiosks were introduced years and the recent expansion of the East Hall seating, thus resulting in a much more organized experience. Wonton noodles have always been one of their best options. It's been a morning / lunch staple and a sure thing for first timers. Their congee has been excellent a majority of the time, along with somes solid stir fried options from noodles to shrimp and egg. They also have beef brisket, Where they suffer a bit is with the Chinese BBQ (siu mei), in which it's lacking severely, which doesn't fare well given its the priciest item. If one is desperate for goose and bbq pork, this may work in a pinch. Don't bother with the Hainanese chicken. Trust me. Like all things at the airport, it's a bit overpriced. The kiosks accept all major forms of payment and is far more English friendly than ever. While coming to the airport really hungry should always be avoided (#2), there are more convenient options than ever. ___________ (#1) Grammatically anyway. (#2) Even lounge food is rarely excellent. Won ton noodle soup is pretty bog-standard, which to be fair in Hong Kong means it's actually pretty decent. Char siu won't win any awards, with the slices at this location seemingly extra small, but again it's more than acceptable enough for an airport. And the roast goose, while nice enough, was more bones and skin than anything else. Made me wonder just how small the goose was! Still, of all the fast casual Chinese restaurants inside Terminal 1 of Hong Kong International Airport, I find I come here the most. The fast service and the quality are just enough to keep me coming back, especially when time is tight.
